Caller ID displayed Baldwin Wallace.  I let the call go to voice mail.  It's a University in Ohio but this had nothing to do with academics.  The message left was a recording giving away free home alarm systems.

Proves that some of these scammers/hackers attend a university.

Robo-caller spoofing the ID of a college/univesity. A few weeks ago, someone in southeast Louisiana spoofed the ID of Loyola University in New Orleans. I reported the calls to the University, and was told, "We just got a new calling system put in to contact alumni about making donations. There must be some quirk in the programming." Of course, the University was not going to tell me the truth about the spoofing. Mercifully, the spoofed calls stopped.

A brief while later, a new set of spoofed calls came in, under the ID name of LGIVINGMOMENTS. This is the same spoofing group, I suspect. I even have reason to believe that I know who the individual is behind these spoofed calls. (I won't go into the long story here as I have elsewhere.) This person has hacked contact lists from me, and places and people I know!

This person is a pest. He has the ability to tap into any communications system, right from a computer inside his house! One of his alternate names is Saints for Sinners. If you see this name come up anywhere, disconnect, hang up, close the e-mail, or in general, don't open the file! He may have no connection with this Baldwin Wallace University, but the use of a school's name ought to be a crime!

Hi, just got a robo call/voice message, I saved this one for prosecution, maybe.  Please call the College they have a pre-recorded message regarding someone using their ID/telephone number illegally.  Maybe this will help with your concerns.  At least they are doing the right thing by informing call-backs after these calls are received at your home.  They also have a secondary number for you to call if you have anymore concerns.

Received call from this number at 12:26 pm this date.  Caller ID shows Baldwin Wallace and the number is assigned to Baldwin Wallace University.  Obviously a telemarketer call according to other posts.  We have had several calls from this number.

Message on my voicemail:   "Security system at absolutely no cost. This system also includes a life alert medical pendant and to help you monitor your system. A free Apple iPad. press one to hear little more information on this incredible promotion or press nine to be removed from our calling list."  I'm not sure why this would be coming from a phone number assigned to Baldwin Wallace University

Received a call from this number at 3:25 p.m. today.  Left a message about crime rate and break in rate going up in my area which is not in Ohio!

Received two calls from this number today.  Caller Id shows 'Wallace Baldwin'

Number is listed for Baldwin University, Berea, OH.  I did not answer as I do not pick up calls where I don't recognize the number.
