I too just recieved a voicemail from a Eugene stating my resume just came across his desk & woulf like to ask me a few things. Sounds like this guy has been doing this for awhile after looking how old some of these posts are.

Same call from Eugene....get a real job bro!
Theo 2014-03-21 16:54:14 Unknown
I just received a voice mail on my cell from Eugene as well. He wanted me to call for an interview. I did not recognize the
440 941 7545 so I let it go. Sounds like some kind of scam.

Just received a call from Eugene 440-941-7545. As with many others on this site, I'd just updated my resume on Monster. He said he'd just had my resume hit his desk and wanted to ask me a few questions. He evidently works for Primerica. Not worth a call back. Sorry Eugene.

Primerica is spamming everyone who posts a resume on Monster.com.

I too just received a call from Eugene - he said my name came across his desk and he just wanted to ask me a few questions about a possible career with their company....when he repeated his name he said he was with America - like the country not a business - I think not
Jeff 2014-02-18 22:34:16 Unknown
Yep, I just updated my resume on Monster and, presto, Geno, I got a message saying he might be interested in ripping me off, er, fishing me into his little shop of hiring horrors.
Thanks, but no thanks, pal.

Eugene now has a female leaving the voicemail for him, but still extremely hard to understand. I also just posted my resume on Monster.com....hmmm...could there be a pattern??
paperclips 2014-02-07 21:25:31 Unknown
so...eugene is at it again.
yeah - same thing. but I dont answer numbers I know. Currently in the Job market and errrr....I'll pass. Could be trying to get people to sell booty!

Thank god I checked this out online. Some impossible to understand secretary is calling for Eugene now (apparently he recruited a new sap) to cold call people and it literally took around 7 tries to make out what she was even saying. The slow pause before saying my name as though it was a foreign language to her put me off immediately. Sure enough I just put my resume up on monster.com yesterday for the Cleveland area, so that explains the call this morning. Said my name came across his desk (imagine that!) and that I might be someone he would be interested in interviewing. If he's so interested, why isn't he calling me? Yeah, I'm looking for a real job, so no thanks. Be on the lookout for this scumbag!

Just got a call from "Marina" letting me know that "Hugh Jean" (or more probably, Eugene) had come across my name during some interviews and he just had a few questions for me, so please call him back at this number. She never identified his company or position or even her own position. Not a good way to do business if you ask me. I, too, recently updated my online resume. Glad this page is here so I did not waste my time calling back for something so weird/shady.
selena 2013-12-20 14:15:49 Unknown
Phew, glad I found this site, as Eugene left me a message yesterday. Will be blocking this number! Thanks.
Audrey 2013-12-17 21:27:42 Unknown
got a call from Eugene today @ 4:17, I got a call from one before in Hudson Ohio. It is a waste of time don't even go to the interview. Its company name is Primerica. Its comission based and sounds all good to be true when u can profit so much$$.
Dee 2013-12-12 23:19:24 Unknown
By the way, I too updated my resume on Monster and Ohio Means Jobs--just yesterday. Just received the call at 6:10pm today.
Dee 2013-12-12 23:17:22 Unknown
Well Eugene has not changed his MO. That is mumbly operation. I listened to the message a couple of times to try to decifer the name of the company. Thanks to you guys for preventing me from wasting any more of my time!
Billy Vert 2013-12-06 16:50:38 Unknown
Yep, commission based sales. didn't go any further
Cher 2013-11-25 15:49:44 Unknown
Just got a call from that number. I never answer numbers I don't know and I am glad I didn't. I too just updated my resume on monster.com. Has anyone ever thought of contacting monster.com to tell them that Eugene is running a scam?

Just got a call from our man Eugene...I will say, he identified his business as Primerica, which is a legitimate company. I did a preliminary, cursory check and it's a classic MLM, though Eugene played that off when I suggested it. I'm curious as to how "my name came across his desk", and yet he needs me to bring a copy of my Resume...anyway, I digress and...I pass!
Michael 2013-10-29 16:54:31 Unknown
Thanks, all, for saving me the hassle of calling "Eugene" back. I got his VM and found this string when I Googled the number. And like many, I had just updated my resume info on Ohio Means Jobs / Monster, com, so clearly they are monitoring that source to fish for products. Interesting, though, that Primerica seems mostly an up and up financial services broker for those in the market for such things. They just need to work on their cold call strategy and maybe more of us would be calling him back!
Pj 2013-10-23 14:50:56 Unknown
I just played that message multiple times. Eugene said his name, "Might be interested in interviewing.." must be a script - but when he said the name of the firm, he said it fast and verrrry quietly. I gave up trying to figure it out. Glad to see what it was really about.
Miranda 2013-10-22 19:46:34 Unknown
Yep, Eugene seems to be the one they use. Didn't like his message, didn't identify his company. "Came across his desk"- nice script buddy. Because I'm on unemployment, one of my resumes on OhioJobs (which is connected to Monster) must be made public so I figured I'd be getting a few crackpot calls.
I also got a text (text messaging for a phone prescreen? No, thank you) and a phone call from another company, also not identifying themselves.
You know who I am, but if you really think I'm going to call you back without telling me who you are affilated with, then don't bother.
Stacy 2013-10-17 17:17:15 Unknown
Eugene called me too!! same thing your name came across my desk! What a creep, said the company named all hushed like he didn't want me to know! They've called me before like 5 years ago. They are a pain.
Greg 2013-10-17 15:07:17 Unknown
Got a call from Eugene, shady, Primerica is a complete scam, just look them up. I didn't call him back and neither should you!
Lis 2013-10-16 14:41:00 Unknown
I too got a call from Eugene. It's funny, because I have a google voice number that starts with the same exchange, so I knew it wasn't a "real" phone number. He did mention his company, but all it came out as was a mumble. Same deal as everyone else, I updated my resume' on Monster, he said my name came across his desk, he had some questions for me, etc., etc. Also, who calls at 1:30 on a Saturday in regards to a job? No thanks! Scam!
Jen 2013-09-23 18:40:56 Unknown
I got the same voice-mail, also from "Eugene". No company name, no information about the position, nothing. I am really happy I found this site so I won't waste my time!
JJ 2013-09-19 23:22:40 Unknown
Same call. Eugene left a voicemail saying my name had come across his desk and he may be interested in interviewing me. Just like everyone else, I updated my resume on Monster.com so apparently his job is to stalk that site.
Mike 2013-09-04 16:28:48 Unknown
Got a Call from Eugene. I updated my Monster Account less than 24 hours ago, so that is how he gets his information. His accent makes it hard to understand, but it sounds like he is from Primerica - Pyramid type insurance. No Way Geno!!
Andrew 2013-08-22 16:27:19 Unknown
Haaaaaa all these comments are priceless, I wasn't sure if I was the lucky guy who got picked by the no-name agency to have an interview after my name just so happened to come across his desk as well.
Dear Eugene,
That might have been THEE worst voicemail for a company I have ever received. Like everyone else, I will not be calling you back and you are the worst HR person and should probably be fired.
Sincerely,
Andrew

I just got a voicemail message from Eugene on my cell phone. He had to have accessed my resume on Monster.com to get my cell number since it is not public. He only left his name and phone number and said that my name had "come across his desk" and that I am someone he "might be interested in interviewing". He left NO company name. What kind of professional cold calls for an interview and doesn't even leave the name of their company???!!! Shady to say the least. After reading all the comments above, I'm sure he's desperate to reel someone in for his "commission only" position.
Brenda 2013-08-21 16:21:19 Unknown
I got the Eugene call today too. I had just updated my resume on Monster, so obviously that's where he is getting our information. I think I'll update my resume again and leave out the phone number! At least I was able to Google the number and get to this site so I wasn't wasting my time! Thanks guys!
