Most of these companies and scammers are using magic jack or google talk type programs whereby they just change the # and continue to call.I wouldnt doubt if their program changes the # on each call!I tried to call back and it was a magic jack message that said this magic jack # has not been assigned to any body!

People, forget about the caller ID numbers. They're not real. The company calling uses a method called "spoofing" to create a fake caller ID number. So any information based on those numbers is incorrect.

These a$$es have been calling me for 2 years.  They don't care if you're on DoNotCall or not.  Most of the time they'll flat out hang up on you if you ask company name, location, or anything.  I've been told I'll be taken off their lists several times.  The calls come from various numbers from various states, the recorded message is the same voice but uses differing names.  After 2 years of complaints on the DoNotCall website, no change.  These people are an illegal scam, and it appears no one wants to do anything about it.

I've been getting this for a while too.  They always hang up immediately if I ask to be removed.  Had one guy that I asked today to not hang up on me as I started talking.  He immediately hung up.  I wish he would have stayed on because I was going to tell him that I am going to blast the freaking eardrums out of their agents with an airhorn every time they call from here on out.  I wish he would have had the opportunity to put that in his database.  Now, the next person will have to put it in after I'm done.

I got a phone call this morning from Account Services. When I pressed one as directed "Michael" answered. When I started asking questions about the company he said the name of it was Account Services. When I asked for a contact number he said "800" - then he hung up.  The message was giving me my last opportunity to lower my interest rate.

While I used to get upset with these calls, I have turned it into enjoyment of pretending to go along with them, playing their game then turning the tables and ask THEM questions.  And of course, getting my comments in on what I think of them as a person trying to rip me and other off.

Todays call connected to to a girl, didn't give me her name, like any name they would give you is real, and of course when I said before I give her my credit card number, I need some company info to make sure she was legit, she hung up.  But it was fun to take up her time.  If she's the thief, sooner or later she'll get caught, if she just works for the thief, hopefully she wil;l get an honest job someday.

Number that came up was 862-881-0546 - a New Jersey cell phone which is 'unable to take any calls at this time', if it hasn't been rerouted or fake ID.

Yes they can make you angry, but every now and then, Have some Fun with these #$@%!'s.

I agree ,  everyone needs to file a CLASS ACTION FEDERAL SUIT against the phone companies for selling defective caller I.D.

The phone companies are selling / ripping off consumers by selling a defective service / device !

I am sure there will be a lot of law firms that will jump at the chance to sue  A T & T, Verizon, ect.
They have deep pockets.

Once a class action is filed, watch how quick the phone companies install the necessary equipment to identify the fake callers.

I  bet you one thing for sure , if these fake spoof callers called the white house and mad a threat or something, they  FCC / govt. would find them with no problem !

CLASS ACTION is the answer people  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of going online an cryin gabout your w-2.
Contact the IRS Fraud dept.
They have the proper forms to fill out and you include copies of your pay stubs showing the withholding.
The IRS will take it from there !!   hehehe
A company that withholds taxes and does not send out w-2's and not submit the withheld tax tot he IRS , the IRS takes that very seriously.

Credit Card Services was going to lower my high percent credit cards if the balance on one was greater then $3500 and if one of them was zero balance (so if one was maxxed they could probably maxx out the zero balance one).  Manager said his name was Bill Baker and his phone number is 888-868-0538 x870.  In order for me to have my rates reduced to 6 percent or lower i had to verify on a recording that I am letting them make a $944 charge.  That is a one time charge that will save me money on the interest on my high percentage credit card you see, because now it is going to be 6 percent!  They had to have the permission to charge me and THEN they would work with the credit card companies to reduce my rate to 6 percent, or try to.  The scam lets them charge you legally, and afterwards they pretend that they try to lower your rate, but fail.  So after the scam youre out alot of dough and still at the same percent on your credit cards :)  The part about the 944 dollar charge did not come up until the first person got a supervisor to call me to confirm half hour later and every time i mentioned why is the charge 944 dollars and questioned him to explain it over and over he just got sick and tired and told me to call him back at the above mentioned number.

I'm also one of the many that is receiving calls from these lowlife "I can't do anything else for an honest living" scumbags.

The employee ends up hanging up, when I become to inquisitive.  I'm going to attempt contacting the FBI.  Contacting anyone else is a complete waste of time, due to "Jurisdictional" BS.

If a company is attempting to defraud you and you're over the State line, this is now an FBI issue.
(aka: Interstate Fraud)

The 'company' has ID'ed itself as "Account Services" and "Credit Card Services" and they (employees) claim that they can lower my rates.  At times, they also claimed that my card payments are behind.

I have communicated with TWO people "Michael" & "Frank".  Both have hung up on me when I pursued additional info about the 'Company'.

The overall fact here, is that I DO NOT have any Credit Cards, so why are they HARASSING me with telephone calls, about lowering interest rates and I'm behind?!

Just to let you know, the company is still going strong.  Got my first call from them about 3 months ago.  Ignored the ones on the answering machine.  They caught me at home once, so I pushed 1 to tell them to take me off their call list (I'm a former telemarketer for the Cancer Society who worked at a Call Center & know many of the "tricks").  When I talked to someone, he rudely hung up on me.

I'd received many more calls on my ans. mach.; but was home today.  I played their game & acted like a dumb little old lady (I'm old; but not dumb) & finally asked (sweetly), got the run around that they're Card Services, a dept. in the company of Account Services.  I just kept asking stupid questions & then asked to speak to a manager.  She said they were all out to lunch.  I told her that no company would allow their employees to work without SOMEONE being there to help them.  She agreed & put me on hold.  I waited 10 min. & then there was a quick click where I could hear the buzz of the Call Center, & was immediately put back on "hold".  So they were hoping I'd hung up.  While I was waiting, I was surfing the net to find some info on this company & found this blog.  I'm in the same position as all of you as far as being on the DNC list.  If someone has discovered a way to take these people down, PLEASE publish it online.  Thank you!

This people call 4 to 5 times a day for the last month and will not stop calling. I have asked to speak to a supervisor, only to be hung up on. When I ask for more information, I am hung up on. I have threatened them with the BBB and they hang up but call right back. I have blown a whistle in their ear and they call back. I can't get them to stop.

they call several times a week to me in Canada I have tried nicely to get them to stop calling to no avail. Today I got nasty and put them on hold fror 10 minutes claiming to look for my information put the phone in front of the radio so they new I was still on the line. They finally hung up and called back and then I got really NASTY- the woman threatened to call the police on me and I encouraged her to do so and to tell the police how many times they have harassed me over the last few months. she hung up. I called several local and national authorities to complain/ ask if it was bad for me to be REALLY NASTY to them ( you don't want to know how Nasty trust me) I will continue for a while to be ultra nasty/rude till they lose my number hope it works.

"Account Services" phones my business line twice a week. They ask for you account balances and promise to not ask for your "account numbers" but instead, ask that you conference them in with your call to your credit card company. I think the Feds should get involved with this one.

I've been receiving calls from these bozos for about 7 years.  Sometimes I get 1 call a week.  Sometimes more.  On one occasion I got more than 30 calls in one day.  This week, I've gotten 10 calls so far.

I recently talked to a Mr. Kelly at the FTC.  Call him and talk to him.  Please.  He doesn't seem to understand how bad the problem is.  He refused to tell me what the FTC was doing to track these people down.

Btw, according to the FTC, the calls are NOT coming from DI Enterprises, or Heather Lenzen or Kelly Lonas, or any of the other names that have popped up on this board.  The real company doing this is using caller id spoofing technology to hide the real number and the real identity of the caller.  According to Mr. Kelly of the FTC the real identity of these criminals is unknown.

To see how easy it is to spoof caller id and make it look like your call is coming from anyone you want, do a google search on "spoof caller id".  There are companies out there who, for a fee, will happily dial any number you want, anywhere in the world, and make the caller id say anything or show any number you want.

I'm considering talking to a lawyer about suing the FTC and/or the phone companies for failing to protect us from these abusive telemarketers. I'm sure the lawyer will laugh me out of his/her office but at least it will make me feel like I'm doing something.  After 7 years of this crap, I'm fed up!!!

My Caller ID said Out of Area, and provided no phone number, but when I asked the name of the company, the guy said, "Account Services"

I've reported them at donotcall.gov several times.

Account Services keeps calling and wants to lower my interest rate.  Total scam and when you tell them to stop, they still keep calling.  Tell them you are recording the conversation and that you are on the No Call List, but it doesn't do much good, they keep calling.

I actually worked for this company. I can't actually tell whether or not we were scamming anyone, but we were certainly calling people from an autodialer. Some were on a do not call list. We could not call people in Georgia. The name of the company 'DI Enterprises INC' that represents the debt reduction company, always seemed fishy since we could never give out information. I don't suppose this is unusual however, because of the ramifications.

I continually get messages from these recordings on my answering machine. Today I was finally home to press 1 to take my frustration on someone. I got a guy named "Jason". When I asked him what credit card company he was with he said "Account Services- we're not a credit card but we can lower your rates on all your cards." I informed him I do not carry balances and wanted to be removed from the list. He got smart with me and said "Well to do that you needed to press 2 mam" and I continued to inform him that for most people like myself who have jobs and are not home in the day to actually answer the call and press 1 or 2, it was extremely frustrating to get home to these recordings. In the middle of trying to explain this he cut me off and said "Do you realize by pressing 1 were now going to charge you $250?" to which I replied "To hell you are. I'm on the do not call list, take me off your list. If I get any charges or anything else from you I'll take you to court." and hung up on him.

VERY annoying and disgusting. Just what you want to get home to after a long day at work.
