Got a text from " Eric" today saying he wanted to pay threw pay pal and have his agent pick up boat." Looked his number up and seen he has done this same thing to others. He was persistent on me getting pay pal account have not heard from him since.

Received the exact same messages from 'Eric' too! Big scam!!

I'm selling my Mercedes on Craigslist and I got a text from same number name is Eric that woke me up at 4am est which would be 1am California time. I'm thinking its a cell phone being used over seas. His message is the same.
Will not be able to come see this but i will have my agent from my shipping company come to your location for the pick up and i will be making the payment via PayPal, and i will like to know if you have an account. This indeed is a scam.

THIS TIME THE TEXT NUMBER IS REGISTERED IN SAN FRANCISCO.

Got a text from this guy at the same number.
Asking to pay by paypal and will have his agent to pickup the bike.
This AGENT will probably be himself and he will have your name, paypal account info, address, phone number etc.

I asked him back if he can pay his agent and have this agent bring cash over.
No employ since then.

Same guy ERIC text me about my bike from the same number.

This number is registered in San Diego California.

Just got the same "Eric" txting me immediately after I updated info on a boat for sale. Watch out!

Received text also from "ERIC" stating he had made an inquiry of which I know he didn't, he was interested in a truck I have for sale! DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY OF YOUR INFO!!!!!!!!!

Good ole Eric strikes in St. Louis. He's deaf and can't make a call back. This dude is such a clown. Hopefully the authorities can catch up scammer.

Got a trext on porsche and fit the scam profile send check overpayment then I pay hauler for his services. textback if scammer dont text again he stopped

I posted a vehicle for sale and requested "no texts, calls only", but received a text from "Eric" anyway.  My wife responded to him with; 'My husband doesn't text.  I am not involved, you need to call'.  

Eric, just ignored her and text back, stating:  'I will not be able to come see it, but I will have an agent from my shipping company come to your location and I will be making payment via Paypal. Do you have an account?"

this is pretty funny. i just got a text from "eric" about a 1965 vw that i have listed for sale.. says he had made an inquiry, yet i do not recall.. i might play along just for s**** and giggles!

Got a call from the same "Eric" about an rv. He said he emailed me.  He did not. It did not go to spam or my inbox.  I decided to check the number out.  Did a search on the internet for the 442-222-8748 number and "Eric".  I do believe it is a scam as well.  I wouldn't give ANY info to this person or even respond to calls/texts/emails.  He could be stealing information to steal your identity.  Stay away people.
