They claim that they have my ok to call this number but, I never use it for anyone but clients. Turns out they use it as a call back number to a computerize phone system to tell you about ins,loan, or whoever want to use computers to call people.

SOLUTION

Your cell phone provider's tech support can block all these messages if you request it, but they won't offer this option to you if you don't ask.

CALL YOUR PROVIDER NOW AND ASK THEM TO PUT IN YOUR ACCOUNT "DO NOT SOLICITATE"

Started with a pre-recorded message about reducing credit card debt, as others have stated. I don't have credit cards and neither does my husband. I pressed one in hopes of getting my number removed. A man answered and wanted to "get verifying infomation from" me. I told him "no. I just wanted to get my number removed from their calling list." to which I got hung up on, like others. All of our numbers are on a don not call list. Top this off they called my cell phone. Where do they get this information from? Which company is selling this information?

said that my payment was late on my credit card.  I don't even have a credit card.  I also have my cell phone blocked from solicitors.  I wish this call could be stopped.  I get this call at least once a week.

I always seem to get these call when I'm driving. It's hard to believe, with today's technology, these people can't be stopped.  Report these calls to your cell carrier.

This is a scam, which tries to steal information and money if possible my transferring your debt to their program.

it's a wardialer guys, doesn't matter if you're on a do not call list. it just starts at 0001 and calls up to 9999.

I've gotten a few of these calls. The best way to deal with this is to ad your number to the do not call registry list. Also, one when I didn't answer they left a message on my phone. The number was 1-800-706-6208. There is an option there that allows you to take your number off the list. I hope it will actually do what it says and not lead to more calls.

Just received a missed call from this number today (4/2/09) at 4:00pm tried to call it back and my "call can not be completed as dialed". But I simply pressed the talk key on my phone while dials the last number for me. There is no way I can have the incorrect number. This is bizarre!!!

Found as a missed call.  Tried calling back seveal times and the number was busy.

They called about reducing my credit card rate and when I pressed 1 and told them to take my number off their call list they started asking my about my underwear and other explicit things. Don't answer if they call!

Took the IQ test on Facebook......they were to text me a code so I could get my score........requested cell # and company........got call which I hung up on....
and I didn't agree to the terms for whatever on the test site......I'll be wary as what else might come of it.

Got a call on my cell phone--reduce interest rates telemarketing spam.  Press 1 to speak to representative. "Who are you?" Response "CLICK" How do we shut these kind of people down?  FCC is no help at all, because the phone number is not valid; you get a recorded message Cannot complete as dialed.

Automated voice tries to get me to "lower my interest rate" on my credit card. They don't mention who they work for so I know their not in any way related to my actual credit card company. They also have called me multiple times from different phone numbers.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone with these guys trying to get me lower credit card interest rate.

When i asked to be transfered to a supervisor, i got some dude who gave me profanities for his name and address. very likely a scam.

I'm sick of these poeple calling me! Plus I can't understand a word they are saying.

Just had a call on my cell from this number.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I have put my cell on a DO NOT CALL list...I should not be getting ANY STRAY calls!

Got a call from this phone number THREE HOURS after changing my cell phone's number to a local number (I just recently moved).

I've been getting calls from this number for the past few days,..although all I see is 1002. I'm assuming it's the same caller. Thanks,..I definitely won't answer it.
