I got a text from this number replying to a Craigslist post, the individual was posing to be a Command Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force.

Same complaint as above - trolling Craigs List and claiming to be a pilot. First off, the verbiage and grammer of his texts was a dead give-away that he was NOT a pilot. I played dumb for a little bit but when I began to inquire about his area code and why he was interested in an item in OKLAHOMA when he was in MARYLAND, he began to get kind of curt.
I filled a complaint on the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Not sure if it'll do any good but at least it's a start.
Do not give ANY info to this number.

Just received a text from this number with the same story as those already here. Claimed to be a pilot, wanted to use PayPal, etc. once I told him his phone number was listed as a phishing scam he cut the crap and said what where did you read that? I sent him this link. There are also dozens of other sites like this complaining about his number. Don't give your information to this number!!!

We tried to get scammed by this number as well

Stated he was a pilot and was interested in purchasing item from craigslist.   This number tried the same tactic with another craiglist sale.  Upon further investigation, have learned the person behind this number is a scammer. I actually intend to send a reply via text to let this person know he messed with the wrong gal.  I hope to haunt him daily so perhaps he wil se the error of his ways and get a real job.

This number texted/called claiming to be an interested buyer on an item listed on Craigs List.  She (Amy Cooper) initially requested Paypal account information.  Instead we sent an "invoice" to the email account (there were two) as requested.  We immediately received an email from "Paypal" saying that the amount was paid, but an additional amount would need to be sent via Western Union.


Email in part reads:
Please be advised that verification of Western Union Money Transfer Details of $750.00 USD (which must be sent as Pick-Up fees to Buyer's Shipping Agent) is required to complete this "Pending" payment sent to you by Amy Cooper.Therefore, you are mandated to complete the transaction process so we can complete transferring the fund into your account. Your account is being monitored through PayPal Security Systems.

Upon the receipt of Western Union Money Transfer Details, your account will be credited accordingly which will include all cost charged for transfer via Western Union Money Transfer at PayPal cost.

You are require to send us the Western Union Information below for Verification:

(1) Sender's Name and Sender Address;
(2) Receiver's Name;
(3) MTCN;
(4) Amount Sent;
(5) Security Question and Answer
(6) Western Union Receipt
