I received two calls from this number.  One call I missed and the second I answered and was told my car warranty had expired.  The lady stated the company she was with was not my original warranty company, but they could extend my old coverage.  I asked for a direct line I could call back to at a more conveient time for me.  I was told there was no direct line phone number she could give me.  When I tried to call back it was a disconnected number or no longer in use.  Hmmm...

I missed a call from this # on my cell. I tried to call back and got the same thing as all of you, ..disconnected or not in service. The number called again the next day. It was a guy asking for my husband.( I knew something was wrong! My husband has a very common name. My cell is the kind that is prepaid with a card bought with cash. When I turned it on, I did not even give my real name, and I explained that I would not give them any other information. The cell company does not have my info. and I have been cautious with who has my cell, as I only use it for emergencies.) The guy was asking me to verify what credit cards we had because we were entered into a sweepstakes. ( I did not verify) I asked how he got the #. He evaded. He kept on about getting us registered to win. I told him this was an emergency line only and not to call on it again, and that I was not entering anything and too poor to afford to argue with him about it and burn my minutes. He tried to be persistent about us being entered because we used our card "somewhere" that had a sweepstakes drawing and entering us. I said " NO! Don't call back!"

I've received calls from this number at least three times in the past two days.  I missed the first two and called it back thinking it could be related to a job I applied for, but all I got was a verizon recording saying that the number had be disconnected.  The last time it called I answered wanting to know what this was and it was a young girl asking for someone else. I told her she had the wrong number and she repeated my number back to me and told me she didn't have the wrong number just the wrong name. She then preceded to tell me that I had been entered into a contest to win $25,000, a red or black mustang, or a trip to Australia or a cruise. After hearing this I almost hung up, but the strange nature of this call kept me listening.  She asked me what some of my hobbies were and I told her I was to busy with school to do anything else. She asked again and I told her I study photography and she continued to tell me that  she had just graduated from high school and she took a photo class then and wanted to go to school to become a photographer but it is just so expensive.  Then she started telling me about some "free" magazine offer that I would have to pay $4.99/week for and that I would be receiving a free watch.  Then she asked me If I would keep the car if I won it, and what I would do with the money if i won it, and finally if I would take either of the trips and if so which one, she said she would prefer the cruise. . .but maybe Australia because they are both hot and her biggest concern would be to get a tan.  She then told me she was going to connect me to her supervisor and to put in a good word for her because she was new.  I could here her asking people in the background how to do something in the computer then she told me it would be just a minute and I would hear a click and shouldn't hang up.  I did hang up because I knew it was a scam, slightly entertaining because of the level of intelligence of the person on the other end, but an obnoxious scam none the less.

Asked to verify that I own certain credit cards under the guise of some sweepstakes. Probably phishing.
