He texted and asked if my boyfriends truck was still available. We said yes. He then didn't write back till the next day asking again if it was available and to text back imidiately. So we said yes. He then replied saying he would be paying by check and he was in no rush and that he would instruct a shipping agent to our door. And then asked for his personal info. This was definetly a scam.

I am in New Hampshire.... he is in Maryland.
Wanted to know, if my $2500 gas stove, that I just posted is still for sale??????

I got a text from this number, too, regarding some car parts I was selling.  Texts sounded very shady - saying something about forwarding my info and he will be having a shipping agent contact me.

I felt like replying "stop scamming people, jerk" but I just replied, "no thanks" - no reply from him after that.

I almost fell for this scam.  person wanted to send me check for my fee and shippers fee  thought it sounded to good to be true.  thanks everyone for warning.

I got a message very early in the morning asking if I still had the item..  DUH, I just listed it 6 hours before.    Very persistent and annoying in trying to send more money than the item is listed for.  Almost fell for his B***S***.   Glad I checked here to see the scam that he is.

BEWARE this guy is a total fraud! he gets you through craigslist, he then proceeds to tell you he is sending a check through UPS when check arrives the amount is much more then what you are selling, then tells you to deduct your fee and then proceed to transfer money to ERIC SHOROCK which is supposedly a shipping company, he demands you to do it ASAP before the shipping company arrives to pick up the item...
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS - - he is going to screw you, the bank will investigate the check and flag it because there are no funds and then you will loose your money when transferring money.
Luckly I didnt fall for this!

Furniture was posted on Craigslist also a text from this number had my entire ad title in it.  He was demanding payment through PayPal.  Persistent texts from multiple long distance area codes demanding full name and address lead me to believe this was a scammer. Thanks for previous posts.

Listed used AC and coil on local Craigslist.  First text from this number asked if it was still available.  A couple of hours later, the guy sent a series of texts, which were very suspicious and ultimately asked for all my personal info. I came in here and looked up the number.  Thanks to all of you who have posted here. Now I know that what smelled like a rat is indeed a rat.

Asking about a bed I'm selling on craigslist... I'm in phoenix and this number is in Maryland.... Kind of a great distance to be browsing craigslist....

Wanting to know if I still have a toolbox for sale on craigslist and then doesn't respond back untl the next day. Must be a scam.
