Called. Left no message.

Left a message on my answering machine.  Did not identify themself.  Only said to call back.

I received about 20 calls from them in about a 10 day span back in June on both my cell and home phones.  On the last call I told them that they were calling a private cell phone that was on the Do Not Call list.  I asked them who they were and what they wanted and they refused and only asked if Jeff was there.  I said nobody by that name lives here or has ever had this address or number.  I told them I reported them to the Do Not Call list every time they called.  They said "Oh well, you do what you need to do."  I then told them I planned to report them to my State Attorney Generals office, which I did later that day, and they responded by saying essentially "Go for it."  I got paperwork from my state and received a call from "West Asset Management" on my home phone and they claimed they've never called me or had any record of my name or number and apologized.  I told them if they ever call me again I will seek further action.  I haven't received a call since.  It's sad that I had to take it that far but at least I got my sanity back.

All they left was that they were some management debt collector, & to call them back at a different number than the one that they had just called from.  Sounds fishy to me.

I answered the call.  When I refused to give any personal information over the telephone until I understood the nature of the call, the person from this number absolutely refused.  She gave me information which was mine but I would not verify it without finding out who was calling.  She refused again several times.  If you've ever had your identity stolen, you know that anyone can gather your information over the internet.  I asked her to send me hard copies in the mail of anything she needed to discuss and, while she insists she has, I've never received anything from this management company.

I am getting sick of theys jacktards calling here. It sounds like a scam to me. I'd report the number.

Same here. They started calling this number since last 2 months on cell number. Today called them back and told that they have wrong number. Before I can speak, they disconnected, not sure if they will remove my phone number from there list.

I just called these guys after getting another call earlier today. They said they would remove my number. Maybe someone complained enough about their crappy customer service, because the guy that answered was pretty nice. We'll see if they actually removed my number.

443-550-7974 - calling for about a year! never there when I answer, always asking for someone else when they leave a message. It is a debt collection agency - a bad one. I've had this number for 5 years, and no one by that name is related to my number or apartment.

This company began calling my cell phone several times a night. Always while I was sleeping, the only messages they would leave said "call this number". Finally, I am actually awake when they call and they ask for someone who is not me. Here is the kicker...they ask for a person who rented the same house that I currently live in, but the person they asked for rented it approximately 8 years ago. They are calling my personal cell phone number which is on the Do Not Call registry, asking for someone who used to live in my house 8 years ago...how in the heck did they associate my cell phone number with this other person???? SCARY! I wonder if they will reimburse my cell minutes for their grievous error???

This number called me at 9:30pm and 9:30am. I don't answer numbers that I do not know and this one hasn't left a message. I keep getting these calls. How do I make them stop?

I believe that this is a debt collection agency.  They asked for someone who does not live here.  When I responded that they had the wrong number, the man (who did not identify himself) asked if I knew the person for whom he was calling.  We'll see if I get more calls.

Calls several times through out the day. I amnswer some times and no one is there. Never leaves a message. Very annoying.

have had 4 calls from this number in the last 2 hours.the calls only do a half ring and then hang up....ARGGHH!.... after googling this number and reading all the info, I know it is West Asset Management. They called me about an old hospital bill last spring and i set up a payment plan with them. I also now know that I probably shouldn't have given them any bank info on me and that the bill was probably beyond the statute of limitations to be paid.  Their other number 903-891-1397 that they have called me NUMEROUS times on. I usually just hit ignore...I had no idea it was illegal. I just knew it was REALLY ANNOYING!

I receive numerous calls from this number a week.  I have no idea who it is, because I don't answer calls I don't recognize on my cell phone.  It is extremely annoying, and a message is never left.

I also recieve numerous calls weekly from this number. I have answered it on occassion, and it is an automated invitation to make arrangements to pay medical debts. I have no medical debts, so I hang up.

I want them to stop calling me..... They call me everyday!!

Some was calling for my sister in law on my cell phone. Which first of all she shouldn't be giving out my cell number, and secondly I am tired of these long distance phone calls that are not important. That is not right for these telemarketers and what not call someone's cell.

I receive 3 to 5 calls per week from West Asset Management concerning a person who is completely unknown to me.  As has been noted, it is very difficult to have your phone number removed from their system.  I suggest writing to the parent company:
