I just got a call from this number but he said his name was Joe Gallow and that it was his cell.

He says he is LARRY CAMPBELL

ACTS LIKE HE KNOWS YOU, etc

This guy has called me many times.  He is now using the name Tom Harris.  He claims he is with the Howard County Police Department and they are putting out a booklet advertising different businesses.  He said we can use our business card in his booklet and that they will personally come to our place of business to do the transaction and of course collect the money!  He makes it clear that he is not one of those telemarketers from another state.  He goes on and on. When you call back they don't answer with a place of business.  I asked for Jim Campbell (using two of the names above) they asked me to hold to put him on.  Be carefull people!!!!!

He called us and left a message as Tom Harris, and said that he had couple of questions for us. I thought he was some one we know and I was going to call him back. Luckly my husband googled it before I called them back.

He called my business and left a number for someone named "Kristin" (we don't have a Kristin here).  He asked "Kristin" to call "Neil Franklin" at this number.

I have received three voicemail messages over the last two weeks from Dave Hall.  He leaves a message and asks me to call him back at 443-552-7171.  He says he is from Elkton.  When I tried to call the number back, it rang and rang, but no one answered.

RECIEVED SAME MESSAGE FROM "TIM SULLIVAN"....GLAD I GOOGLED THIS...THANKS!

Repeated voice mails from this number from "Tim Sullivan" over past few days (beginning about 11/12/09). Will ignore based on your advice. Don't even know where Howard County is. Thanks

Today he is Stanley Leese.  He left message and I did not return call.

Got one tonight from a Pat O'Connor. I said I have gotten messages before from him under different name and he denied it. This time the number was unblocked and the call came from a Brooklyn Park number.

He is Stan Lee today, that is Monday, 23rd March 2009

I just got the same voice mail, it showed up on my cell phone as "withheld" thanks for all the advice everyone!

I also received a message from this number using the name Neil Frankman. I Google the number and it brought me here. Thanks for the information. Since I received the call at work I printing out all the information on this number and turning it into our security/investigation department

Okay everyone listen up!  I know this for a fact as I had the Howard County Police Department verify this.  The number 443-552-7171 is a valid number.  The Ho. Co. Police Union hired a company to solicit for them.  The names Jim Kelly, Tom Harris and others are legit.  This is not a scam.  It is something new they have done this year.  If you don't want to give over the phone, please consider giving to them in person.

Left msg saying he was Tom Harris and requesting that I return call.  Did not leave any information for why he was calling.

Got a call blocked number call on my cell phone. Guy said his name was Dave Lambardo. Used my real name because of my VM. Message was real friendly like. Hey _______. This is Dave Lambardo. Give me a call at 443-552-7171. Thanks a lot _______.

Got a similar message asking me to call back, but said his name was Jim Kelly. I'm glad I Googled the number and found this site. Thanks for posting.

HE IS SUCH A SALESMAN.  New Name: Larry Campbell!!  Hung up on me when I asked too many questions!!

Got a message leaving the number 443.552.7171 for a call back with a guy claiming to be Joe Gallow when he left a voice message ... though he sounded friendly to the point of sounding like we know each other, thanks to this page, I won't be wasting my time to return this call.

I just got a call from this number and a guy said it was his Cell Phone. It makes me upset that he would lie and that they are trying to raise money.  I did a search and it is listed as a land line.  He asked for my Dad and I said what is it in regards to?  He said a personal matter.  What jerks!

I got the same call today from Neil Frankman.  I'm not calling him back...but they could be calling from a company where the caller-id being sent is the same and they have many people telemarketing using their real name.  This is legitimate.  It's still telemarketing so it's still annoying.

Mike Patton called.  Same deal as everyone else, except he is calling my home asking for my brother.

Dave Hall called and left message to call back.  I don't because it is a blocked caller ID.  Thanks for telling me about this and saving me the time of saying "NO".

Update: Turns out the guy is either a telemarketer or a scammer -- moonlighting maybe? It was a solicitation for donations for local sheriff's charity to help under priviliged kids. Don't know if valid or not.  Called again today, now two weeks later. Only this time his name was Dave Lombardo.  Same voice, same style.

Guy calls, leaves message identifying himself as Dave Hall, no indication as to purpose. Picks my name from voicemail greeting and uses it to sound like he knows me.  Asks me to call back on this number.
Same caller called yesterday, same deal but asked me to call back on 410-825-3030  so I assume he is with Sbcg Select Benefits Communications Group 7400 York Road Suite 105, Towson, MD 21204.

Ends the message with "Thanks Buddy"
