Someone called and tried to info ..trying to buy electric items from  Home Depot..

Unfortunately, one of the guys I work for actually ordered light bulbs from this company. Then they kept sending them every month, unordered. $900 for a carton of lightbulbs, that of course are better/last long/etc. than most others....... Then the calls started. Hopefully we ended the deliveries. But we are still out a lot of money.

Said he was Gary from Classic Restaurant Supply. Offered to send me their new catalog. Told me they had been in the restaurant business for years. Knew names of people I was associated with and all. Telemarketing scammers but the amount of info he had was astounding. So much for privacy.

A woman called and said that they got a message from the head of maintenance but couldn't make out his name. She said that we were calling about ordering a ballas (Spelling?). Advised that I didn't know anything about this and that I could take her name and number and have my husband call her back. She proceeded to hang up on me. I received a similar call like this last week but concerning weed chemicals. Wish I would have kept that number.

"Alex" called wanting to speak with out Head Maintenance Man.  Same story as the others listed here.  Only the name has changed.  I would not give him the Maintenance Man's name so he asked for someone who has been gone for 5 or more years.  I asked for a call back number and was given 877-424-3366.

Just got a call at work from someone asking for my bosses cell number from 1-443-712-2140. (He asked for my boss by first name) I told him I couldn't give out that info so he said he was my bosses electrician and needed his cell numb. My boss just happens to have work being done on his house so i transfered the call. The guy asked for the cell number again from my boss and he gave it to him and the guy said he'd call him right back. Of course he never did call back. I thought something sounded strange since the guy wouldn't talk to him on the company phone so I googled it and ended up here. I have since blocked the number from his cell phone and all other company phones and I have made receiving dept aware a package from United distributors might come and to not accept it.

Got a call from a lady that said her boss, Jonathan Dale from Classic Chemical, was trying to reach our maintenance manager.  The caller ID came up as United Distributing at 443-712-2140.  I would not give out any cell phone numbers and when I put her on hold she hung up.

Identified herself as Jordan Davis with United and she left the phone number 443-712-2140.  She called and asked for our production manager by name and when he referred her to me and I asked what the call was regarding she rushed through an answer that she was calling for our electrical schematics and to have a blessed day.  Another scammer just like the ones who call for our copier information.

United Distributors are rip off artist with fast talking sales people trying to sell you over priced materials. Sometimes  I answer the phone and keep them on the phone for a long time just to keep them from making a sale. Total scum bags that will try anything to make a sale, even offer to send you a free gift, lunch box, knife, what ever they think you will like. Sometimes they will start out by asking you what kind of bulbs you use and before you know it they are sending you a box. It is best to not engage in conversation with them at all, they are very sneaky.

Got a message from our front office wanting me to call "Danny" at United Distributors regarding "voltage readings". I called 877-712-2140 and asked for Danny. A guy calling himself Danny got on the phone and quickly became a fast talker asking me questions about our need for lightbulbs and janitorial supplies and wanting to send me their catalog. He wanted to send me a "leatherman" as a gift along with 15 lightbulbs as a beginning order. I told him I would like his catalog but no lightbulbs at this time. He wanted to use a 6 digit number to use as a tracking number for the leatherman and asked for my birthdate...which I gave him. My bad! He hung up and within minutes a guy identifying himself as a "shipping manager" called me on my cell phone wanting to verify my shipping address to ship the 15 lightbulbs. I said that I didn't want the lightbulbs and never agreed to them. Within 30 minutes, Danny called me back and said. "What happened?" I told him I didn't have a warm fuzzy feeling after our conversation and had looked around on the internet, ie; this site, and found many people who felt they had been "scammed". I told him I did not agree to him sending me 15 lightbulbs. He sdaid he had heard enough and said "sorry to bother you, have a nice day". Now that he is out of my hair.....I will.

Received a call from Tony saying our man in maintenance had called him but he couldn't make out the name.  Unknown to him, our staff person is a woman.  I asked where he was calling from and he said United.  I asked him what line of work he was in and he said Electrician.  He did give me the number 443-712-2140.  This company has tried many times to get through to a maintenance person.  He don't even have called ID and I can tell it is a scam.

I remember a call like this last year... i think it's a scam to send an invoice to property management companies with no actual product having been shipped

Got a call from a woman, asking for maintenance manager but couldn't give his name.  When asked what it was concerning, she said it was concerning a ballast order made in January.  I told her no such order exists and she immediately said, "Have a good day." and hung up.

Just got a call from 443-712-2140 , Gave name of George Lewis , call me back on my cell phone.  No details, just about maintenance.

Called and asked for our maintenance dept. Long story short, I hung up on him, he called back and yelled and asked for my boss by name and said he wanted him to call, I said "Frankly sure you're rude and we wouldn't use you for maintenance." and hung up.  Whatever.

Cold call from telemarketer phishing for information about maintenance personnel. No information was provided. Callback # given: 877.712.2140.

He called asking for maint man and I told him I could take name and number and have him call back.  He said he new Mr. (our president's name) and I still was concerned.  He said he would be working away from his phone and needed our maint cell phone.  I told him I could take name and number.  He said he would call back later today. He kept referring to concrete of which we are a part of. Sould like scam.

Yeah, real dirtbags. Called my office and said that they left their contact book back at the office and could they get my cell. Unfortunately, the volunteer (I work as church maint supr) onthe phone gave it to them. But their phone is identified as out of state so I ignore.

They are so rude! I had no idea who they were or what they wanted. Said that he was Danny the electrician, and needed the owner's cell number because he was doing work on his house. I knew it was a scam. So I typed DANNY THE ELECTRICIAN into google and found a few sites with UNITED DISTRIBUTORS scam information. I've since blocked my number *67 and sent them a few crank calls! Next time they call, I am giving them our local non-emergency police department phone number. They track all phone calls.

Received a call from 443-712-2140 United Distributors said he wanted to talk to someone in maintenance, I ask who, he said he didn't know that he was an electrician and someone had called him.  When I went back on the phone to him and said I could not locate anyone that had called an electrician he hung up.  Waste of my company time.

I spoke with a representative from the company, told them I wasn't interested and the following week they mailed me a box of light bulbs. We called them back to deny the package and they suggested sending it with UPS when they come to our location again. Tried to ship it back by FedEx but all of their materials only had a PO box number (needed a street address) Called to get a street address and the representative said "A manager will have to call you back. I can't give you that information." Is our economy so bad that people have to resort to crappy jobs that demand that they lie and be evasive in order to get a paycheck?

Just had this number call and call me all week finally called it back and they told me they had my order of lights ready and wanted to send me a gift card and i was like who is this? Told me they worked with the Guy before me and i was like ok understand but that would have been a long time ago. So long story short I canceled the order told them fine send a catalog but it felt off so i started looking and found this page and yeah i am putting them on a blocked list and warned the office people already

Said his name was John wanted my maintenance managers name. I told him I could take his name and number and have him get back to him he wouldn't give me his number and told me if my maintenance manager called him he wouldn't know who to ask for? I said I thought your name was John? He said the name he had on file which was not a good name and he was just trying to make sure the ballast were received and we were in their new catalog. I finally said I am not releasing any names he gave up and said he would try back later.

they just called our office asking for a property manager and didnt even know his name. apparently they are trying to discuss an order of "ballast" with him. when my associate asked for their information they hung up. she looked up their caller id and we called them back. 1st call they hung up. second time i tried calling them "gerry" was busy and would have to call us back. they claim to be a company by the name "United Distributing" located in Maryland. they are obviously a scam!!! be aware and do not offer them any information. phone number listed was 443-712-2140

called and said they where picking up a ballast for me and needed my telephone number to get a hold of me two different times a man called the first time and a woman the second time

these people continue to call asking for our facility manager's cell phone number because we have an open balance with them.  we do not do business with them.  don't fall for any of their tricks.
