Called me in L.A. today, no message. Area code is Baltimore, I believe.

This is the second call I received from this number. I didn't answer - it was a phone call only with no message left

Calls my cell phone about once a week. Message service catches only the last part of the call, which sounds like it relates to an expiring warranty. I assume it is a scam.

Hung up when call was answered. 3 times today.

Telemarketers/scammers now have the ability to program their phones to reveal a phone number on your caller ID that is not the actual phone number. This allows these criminals to get around the "do not call" list and prevent you from tracing the call.

I am also getting calls that my car warranty has expired. Have been getting them for 3 months now. I finally got upset this morning when I rushed to answer the phone and it was them again. I filed a complaint with both the BBB and the FTC. My calls over the past 3 months have came from at least 4 different states and they call both my cell and my husbands.

++ My Tirade To People Who Merely Complain
They have to CATCH THEM before they shut them down. They have to investigate, as do the legitimate phone service providers the 'car warranty' folks get their service though.
The 'f-ing' American people CAN do something about it-- find the LEGITIMATE phone service providers and let them know which of the numbers they provided called your cell.
How do you do this? Reverse look-up the number the call is coming from here: http://www.whitepages.com/reverse-lookup
It will take you to a page which usually tells you what kind of phone the number is registered to, and also the company providing service to that phone. Then you can Google the name of the company. Look for a number to call for customer service complaints, and CALL IT.
And please, try not to rip the phone service provider a new one--- they aren't the ones making the calls--- only providing the service-- which they also provide to legitimate businesses. From doing some research this way, I have found that a lot of the phone companies are investigating the complaints--- but how are they going to know that YOU got a call, unless YOU let them know?

Called my cell phone and left a stern message regarding my final notice of expired car warranty.
In the first place who would ever do business with a company that treats them in that manner?
This is more along the lines of harrassment.

My wife and I both got calls to our cells from this number within minutes of each other. Neither one of us answered, but it was a little spooky. Was some distant relative trying frantically to get hold of us? Glad for this website which lets you find out some answers. Damn telemarketers and their speed dialing machines!

I haven't even had my cell number for a week and I have had two calls from this number, i try to call back and there is no such number. In the meantime I am getting charged for them calling me. They never leave a message. How do I get those morons to stop calling me?

Only give your mibile number to people you want....put them in your phone book & set their ring....set the ring for numbers NOT in your phone book to silent. You don't get bothered with unwanted calls....you just deleat them when you get the missed call notice.

I let the call ring and it was immediately followed by 208-639-4431 (which I also ignored).

I want to know why the government allows these companies to operate? I also want to know why my cell company is not going after them in court. It's time the f****ng american people do something about illegal telemarketers and the scams they pull... and this IS a scam. Anyone that will not give their full company name, phone number, and address are scammers.
