Call your cell phone company. AT&T has a number for you to text the message to so they can flag it as spam and block the number in the future. The text number is 7726. Forward the message to that number and follow the prompts. I'm sure other providers have something similar.

This number was texted to my child for her to call if she didn't want to die. I texted the number asking who this was, but received no reply. I called the number that had a pre-recorded PSA. It had a lot of bleeps in the message, implying that the message was dirty. At the end, it is a warning against texting and driving. I do not appreciate their tactics, even if their final message is okay. I'd love to have a chat with whoever is responsible for this text.

I got the same text. Really wish there was something I could do about it. My 7 year old was reading over my shoulder and freaked out. This is bull@#$!. Sad thing is, I had only had this number for 24 hours.
