So why do you call the "alternate contact" if you can't get a hold of the insured? I don't have UHC Medicare Complete, yet I got a call at my residence yesterday asking to speak with my mother WHO DOESN'T EVEN LIVE WITH ME! Why not just send the insured a letter after so many failed call attempts, informing them about your service and how to access it?

Do you have a family member who has UHC Medicare Complete? If they can't reach the individual policyholder/insured, they start calling whichever family member is listed on the policy as an "alternate contact". I know this because they left a message on my answering machine and when I called them back, they asked to speak with my mother - who does not even live with me.

Why are you calling people who do not have Medicare or United Health Care? You are spam... robo-calling numbers!!! That is NOT legitimate business practices. I am on the national and state do not call lists and you are calling my cell phone and using my limited minutes that i need for my kids to get a hold of me!

This is just a follow-up call from the terrific Housecalls visiting feature of my AARP Medicare Complete health insurance thru United HHealth Care to confirm that their nurse came to me to do an exam last week.
I told them that I had clicked several of their calls from the 443 area code because I didn't recognize it and figured it was a robocall. But I read several of your comments and felt fine about calling them.
I told them that the nurse was very qualified, pleasant and thorough, that I would look for future visits.
The fellow I just spoke to said they are located bear Baltimoe and DC and I told him I visited that area often in the 1960's while stationed in the Air Force in NJ. And we had a good chat.
No problems with this company!!! High recommendation.

These b*****ds will not stop calling. Four times an hour. Some times 8 times a day. Have called the company. Asked us to be removed. Said they would. They just don't give a s***. Worst company ever. Should be prosecuted. Somehow associated with AARP. Thank them for giving these a***oles your phone number.

I filed a complaint on line with the FCC at FCC.gov. I plan to file a complaint for every call I get. Just becomining annoying.

I have received calls (ON MY CELL) from this number several times. The calls are unwelcomed. I am not on Medicare or an UHC member. My cell phone number is listed on the "do not call registry".

Just got this call today for the first time. I do have United Health Care (but not with AARP). I never answer calls from IDs I don't recognize. What I don't like about these calls is that they very seldom leave a message. I assume it's a telemarketer, but without a message left, who knows? I think all calls should be required to leave a message.

fivekatz 2013-10-21 20:05:16 Telemarketer
Well, now I'm on these morons call list. They just left me the same message everyone else has mentioned here. Same deal - I don't have United Healthcare, and I'm not of Medicare age. Harumph.

I just told these organ-harvesting, grandma-unplugging SOB's that we're a family of fricken Satanists. And that we are not interested in buying additional insurance coverage.

Your intent is probably good, but when people ask not to be called anymore and were promised to be taken of the list and UHC keeps calling that intent turns into harrassment. Plain and simple.
Set up complete rules at the beginning of the program for the call centers on how to fix this problem so that people don't get annoyed with you. You mean well but do it right.
Have had it. 2013-10-17 18:32:18 Unknown
Why don't you show us how you block the calls.
What numbers do you have to use?
Thank you.

Just called the 866 number above and asked to be removed. Agent was very responsive, verified birth date and removed my number. She said it would be effective immediately, we shall see if the calls stop.
Suggested Housecalls should leave a message with the reason for the call and a number to call back to be removed from the list. She said she would pass on the suggestion.
tired of calls 2013-09-25 22:16:56 Unknown
Religion has nothing to do with this. Jehovah's Witnesses do have health insurance and do receive medical treatment. Its the Christian Scientist that refuse medical help. Aside from that, these insurance people, United Healthcare are really making pests of themselves. Put them on a call block.
Greer 2013-09-25 20:40:55 Unknown
Then perhaps the call list should be qualified. Why call people who are not Medicare eligible yet?
As I have my numbers on the Do Not Call List, I also wonder how Housecalls has the permission to make such calls - ideas?
Boulder CO 2013-09-21 22:48:17 Unknown
Caller ID says HOUSECALLS, they use at least two or three different area codes and numbers, never a message. Just got another one.
Anastasia 2013-09-20 23:40:30 Unknown
THANK YOU! I will do just this :) Did this stop the madness of them calling several times a day for weeks on end for you, or are the still doing it?
I will do just this though, at least it will give me more to fight them with when I sue for harassment!
Anastasia 2013-09-20 23:32:23 Unknown
IF YOU ARE FROM THIS ASININE PROGRAM, TELL YOUR COHORTS TO TAKE A FRICKIN' HINT! IF SOMEONE ASKS YOU TO REMOVE THEM, THEY'RE NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR PROGRAM. THIS WILL NOT CHANGE IN A MONTH'S TIME OR TWO MONTH'S OR ONE DAY'S TIME! YOU ARE JUST ASKING FOR A LAWSUIT WHEN YOU KEEP CALLING NUMBERS YOU'VE BEEN ASKED TO STOP CALLING.
YES, I AM EXTREMELY ANGERED AT YOU. STOP THE HARASSMENT OR I AM GOING TO SUE YOUR A$$ES OFF! NO MEANS NO FFS!
