I too have received multiple texts from "Daniel from Maryland" which started at 6.15am.  He seemed too good to be true.  It was my daughter who suggested that I 'google' his number before I did anything with PayPal.  I'm glad I did.

I just got a txt from this number and was curious of the area code so I googled it and seen this blog about the number! Thanks for posting this cause if not I would never have known.

This guy has used the name Dan Hall, John, Ray, Bonnie, used the number 443-228-8693 also. Same scam each time, paypal, cannot come to see vehicle, remember, no one buys used sight unseen.

Forward the email, with headers, to Paypal. Contact information is on their web site. Make SURE you include the headers. If you don't know how to show email headers, search the internet for the program you are using. This is good information for Paypal.

I got this same text from him wanting to buy my truck off nextech classified, also used 443-228-8693. He wanted to use paypay, so I told him it was I already had paypal, just use my email, so I got a message from Paypal saying the money was deposited. The problem is I don't have a paypal account?? This is a scam.

Currently texting him right now about my car for sale.  Says he will send money via pay pall and then a shipping company.  Thanks for this info people.

Glad u guys post this got text from him tonight trying to buy my Harley listed on Kijiji through PayPal ..hate scammers & thanks for posting complaints ..he called himself Daniel Hall from Maryland

Same here, now he wants to buy my trailer, texting that he wants to pay with paypal, wants my paypal info

He Text me tonight try to by my mini truck told me he will send money to my paypal then said that he was having a time with his shipping people was going to add money to my account and for me to pay the shipping $655.00 western union. He told me his name is Daniel Hall 200 Ridgewood road Maryland 443-863-9480

Yep it's a scam...

Just got a text from this number. Earlier this guy was texting from a different number wanting to so pay pal and the story of his dad needing it n he was in the army. I told him to shove it from the last number after seeing the comments n 3 hours later he starts texting from this number.. Name was Bonnie and his dads supposed name was Radiel.. Scam artist.. Needs to be stopped.

Now his name is daniel. Wants to buy my refrigerator for $1,000 via paypal. Beware of this scammer.

Ya same thing with me I am selling my motorcycle and he did up a fake paypal page. I called paypal and reported him as well. Daniel Hall is the name he gave me . Txt only no calls.

Same story on Nextech. His name was Daniel. googled the number and..... Hi yall!

Received call from this number - same thing - wanting to buy my car - would send extra to cover the freight - but I would have to pay the freight.  Only pay source is through pay pal - needed paypal name and email.  That was couple of weeks ago - just got another text from a different number but same area.  Anybody get another call from a 443-228-8693 number - about the same - pay through pay pal and needed name and email address.

got a few texts and it was for something i am selling for 20,000 and he is just willing to pay it and have it shipped across the country from ND to MD at no cost to me. NOT NORMAL! Thank you for your other feedback.

i just posted to vehilcles for sale and had the number  4174134391 and his name was raidel. same thing on both vehicles. didnt know i was owner of both. almost like some of the messages were forwards... said he was in the army and was going to send it back home to his father... and a recovery service would pick it up as well... got another from a different guy for maryland aswell... that number is 4432678175... scammers!!!!

just got the same text after posting my honda prelude, the paypal thing sounded really fishy so i googled the number and low and behold i end up here, thanks guys

Got a text from this number as well as 816-866-7162 about purchasing a motorcycle posted on nex-tech classified.  These people should be strung up!!

I posted my Expedition on Nextech Classifieds and he text me wanting to send me the money through PayPal but wanted me to money gram him $1150.00 for the cost of freight first.. SCAM

Got this guy trying to buy my Subaru that I just posted on KSL.com for sale. Says he wants to send a paypal payment and have it freighted across country.

I smell scam, and I am glad other people have posted here!
