Yes, artechinfo.com is a NOTORIOUS India body shop. This is just a front for H1-B visa applicants: By "law" (yes, I know, the whole US immig/H1B law is a joke) they are supposed to "show" that they are trying to hire US workers ...... So that's why they spam.... and of course when you ask what the hourly rate is it's based on Indian/Chinese slum standards ($40/hr LOL).
That's the story.

I just got a call from the same number. No message...
Brian 2011-06-06 20:49:22 Unknown
This company, whatever it is, calls me on a regular basis, and it really makes me angry that the voicemail that was left was someone breathing heavily into the phone for a good 30 seconds. It kinda creeped me out, and I dont get creeped out easily...lol

I received a called from this number & they did not leave a voicemail. I called it back & the number is not in service. I really hate the fact that they called all hours & don't have a the respect to even leave a message.

I received three calls this morning, 1 minute apart from 443-985-3300. I used to have a resume posted a few years ago, but the number I have now is not the number on that resume, and I don't have call forwarding, so I have no idea how they got my number. I didn't answer because it was at 8 AM and I was still trying to sleep, but they are pretty incessant.

I also got calls firm this firm asking for my SSN to submit AT&T. I din't give this private personal information to any stranger.

They sent me an email about an opportunity in Silicon Valley, CA today. The email indicated that I needed to call them asap as time was of the essence. Is this a legitimate recruiter or not. Made the mistake of responding with my cell phone. Now they have my cell number. Been reading all sorts of responses about this companty from this site and others. Can someone tell me if this is a legitimate recruiter or not.

I got a call from 973-993-9383 Artechinfo systems from a man (heavy accent), said a client of theirs needed a tech writer with AT&T. I called back several times with no answer. I finally hit the option for their recruiting office and left a message with a "recruiter". When the guy called me back, he claimed he'd been trying to get a hold of me to speak to me about a one year contract they have with AT&T, I would not get any benefits unless I wanted to "buy" them from their company, etc., etc. The guy had send some pushy emails and was pushy on the phone. Seems fishy that a company's recruiters are personnel with accents that are hard to understand. A company doing work in the United States should have recruiters that not only be easily understood but are not so pushy...i.e., "I've been sending you emails and waiting for you to get in touch with me" with a snitty, condescending attitude.

I received a call from 203-388-0768 at 8pm last night. I researched the # a little online and found out it belongs to a company called Brooks Fiber Communications at 1351 Washington Blvd. Stamford, CT 06902-2419 they have another # listed as:(203) 399-1000. I called it from my cell phone (that's where they called) and got an automated message saying "all circuits are busy, please try your call later." I'm going to keep calling until I talk to someone and figure this out. I'm on the Do Not Call List, so if this is a telemarketer.....I'm filing a complaint.

I am in DC and they (203-388-0768) call at least twice a day. I never answer but I did google the number and ended up here. I think I am going to take my number off of my Monster.com profile.
HEYALL 2008-01-27 06:53:43 Unknown
i got a call from that 203-388-0768 number but I missed the call. i think last week I was on Monster and I was going to apply for a job but i decided mot to. I had given my information up to a point but i just "X" the screen out. It must have registered anyway. He/She must be a recruiter or something... kinda aggerating. i work from a small Staffing Agency just outside of Boston but i would never call someone on a friggin Saturday Afternoon.

I just got of the phone with a Mr. Darrius 203-388-0768 And he says he is from jobexpo, and cobb galleria events center is holding a jobfair. When he called it came up (unknown caller). He gave me that above number, and i ask him if he was in CT. Reason being I'm born and raised in Stamford. but he said he was not in CT. but in NY. (Long Island). He said he was not in CT, But in Long Island Calling from an office and wants my wife to callback in regards to her resume being on MONSTER.com, and to set an appointment... Sound weird to you?
Wicker Man 2007-11-11 23:00:21 Unknown
Yea ur rite jus pick up and then ask to be placed on the Do Not Call List, i tried it and it worked, y don the rest of u try it out.....:)
bgs 2007-10-25 03:51:54 Unknown
I traced this number back to Job Expos (google them, they are the first ones to come up) it is directly linked with Monster (they poisoned the job search system). Kept getting up to 6 calls a day, and never picked up, until today to try to get some answers. I ended up writing a cease and diseases order and sending it to them. If it doesn't work, I may consider filing harassment charges. If I'm not mistaken, I believe these types of mass callings are not allowed on cell phones, so if a lot of people are having this issue on their wireless, there may be grounds for a class action.
Hope this helps!

I just started receiving calls from 443-985-3400 and 888-333-5555 several times a day for the past week. It's agrivating...no one talks when I answer and when I try to call back it doesn't recognize the phone number. I also have my resume posted on monster.com. I don't think this is a coincidence at all. Between the 2 phone numbers I get about 15 calls a day and it's agrivating the hell out of me. What can we do to stop the madness?
veronicalevelheaded 2007-10-22 16:00:10 Unknown
I just received a call from this number and after reading the blogs here. I will definitely ignore the call.
Amanda Bird 2007-10-17 17:15:41 Unknown
This number calls me 1-2 times per week. I have my resume listed on Monster, HotJobs and CareerBuilder. I have never picked up and they never leave a message. 443 is a Maryland area code.

Got a few call from this number. When I picked it up finally, it was the same job fair scam. I checked it out and there was no job fair anything else

443 - 985 - 3400 will not stop calling!! No messages are ever left and when I call back, I get "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service." I also have a Monster.com resume posted..... ugh
omahaan6310 2007-10-12 18:05:12 Unknown
I keep getting calls from 1-443-985-3400. I have never answered the incoming calls on my cell phone and whomever calls never leaves a message. When I try calling the number back it says "the number you have dialed is not in service,...etc."
When I do a google search on the area code "443" it says it is from Maryland and when I enter the "985" prefix it says that it originates from Randallstown.
Does anyone know what the hell this is?
matrv 2007-10-12 00:01:30 Unknown
Phone number 443-985-3400 Same as every one on here. These jerks need to stop calling or quit hanging up when you answer. They love calling the cell phone. That is ok..... I am also getting the calls at home. I am not happy.... I am getting even thought. Turned them into the National do not call registry. https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I would suggest others do the same and maybe we can get them fined or something.
Atlanta 2007-10-09 18:02:04 Unknown
I've received two calls from this number in the past week. My resume is on Monster as well so that's obviously how they got my number.
As my number is on the Do Not Call registry and I have no prior business dealings with them it's illegal for them to be making these calls. Next time I'll answer and will point this out to them.
ES 2007-10-09 17:55:38 Unknown
I also receved few calls from this number regarding a job fair and I responded and they called back and didn't leave a msg. I think they are outsourced lead gen for recruiters. And YES my resume is also on Monster, I never had an issue with Careerbuilder but monster seem to be selling information.
