J?ai reçu un appel de ce numéro. L?afficheur indiquait Stats Canada 231-0022. Une femme se faisant passer pour une employée de Statistiques Canada voulait des informations sur mon système de chauffage. J?ai répondu aux questions sans trop me méfier (rien de compromettant. J?ai toutefois eu un doute et après j?ai vérifié sur Canada411 et suis tombé sur cette page. J?ai composé le numéro
1450 231 0022, mais il n?y a aucune réponse, même pas un bruit de sonnerie. Cette pseudo enquête a toute les apparences d?une fraude.

J'ai eu le même appelle, ils se font maintenant passer pour Statistique et demandent des infos sur les méthodes de chauffage.

Received a call from 450-231-0022. They claim to be a survey company and asked only 5 questions.
In regards to the way I heat my house, kind of devices, if I have an air conditioner, if I have another way to heat my house.

Même situation pour moi, le problème est que sur mon afficheur c'est indiqué Numéro Inconnu anonymous, mais à chaque fois c'est la même compagnie, HP Canada pour une subvention sur les frais de chauffaire, en réalité c'est pour une thermopompe... Je suis inscrit sur la liste contre le télémarketing, mais le seul moyen est de formuler un plainte à cette adresse www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca à chaque fois qu'ils vous appellent...

faire attention sa sens l arnaque a plein nez ou son notre gouvernement federal pour nous protege

I received a call from 444-1321 today around 17h58pm and the person told me that I was eligible for an energetic subvention applicable for 1000 houses in Mirabel, Qc. by the Canadian government. My phone number is also on the national exclusion list..... The person wants us to plan a meeting at home with one of their representative....I do not trust this company.

No messages were left on the voice mail.

they call asking you information and they hang up. dont say nothing and tell them that your going to do a police report if they call again

Just received a call from HP Canada,they transferred me to some other guy who did not know what was going on so I just hanged up.They phoned back again and I just let the answer machine deal with it.

Heres where it gets weird,my next door neighbor got a call from them 5 minutes later then transferred him the same as me but  he heard our answer machine on his phone .

I received a number of calls from this number. They claim to be a new service for HP thermique heating system. They want 1,000 new accounts in Quebec. They asked for my address and information about our home. I refused to give any information and asked for a telephone number to call back. He hesitate to give me a phone number and when I insisted he gave me a phone number which when I called was not in service. This is a major scam and I also am on the do not call list and I have reported this number to consumer protection. I am so fed up with calls like this and now I refuse to answer the phone unless I know the number.

A Mr Dupuis just called at 8:40pm. Said he represents HP Canada. He claims it stands for Haute Performance Canada (High Performance Canada).  I replied that the only HP company I know is Hewlett Packard and asked if he knew them.  He said he only heard the name! They survey people who may be eligible for government sponsored energy efficiency programs. I told him I have enquired about their whereabouts and that he was under electronic surveyance. I asked thim to stop his arrogance and remove my phone number from their call list.  His only reply was the :"So you feel I am arrogant?"  I said yes and hung up.

J'ai reçu plusieurs appel de cette compagnie.  Comme j'ai un afficheur je ne réponds pas et il n'y a pas de message. Mais depuis 2 jours, j'en reçois au moins 2 appels par jour. C'est très agaçant surtout que ma ligne téléphonique est inscrite au service qui devrait empêcher toute sollicitation.

I live in the South Shore of Montreal and I got a call from "HP Canada". I was on the line with an old lady who spoke English with a French accent. She asked me about my electricity consumption, if it was above 300 dollars per bill,  what the pitch of my roof was, what year it was built, what type of house it is, etc. She told me that the RBQ (Regie du Batiment du Quebec) was offering subsidies for making the house energy efficient. She said that she would send someone who would provide a free estimate. So I fell for it and said, "Ok, send someone over". So then she proceeded to confirm my address and phone number, which I did NOT provide during the phone call, and said that her supervisor would follow up at around 6PM to "confirm" the appointment.

Hopefully I didn't do anything TOO stupid. I plan on saying no to the supervisor and see what happens.

I get a feeling that HP Canada is just a telemarketing company that's collecting potential sales and passing them on to a ventilation company, the "supervisor".

I just got a call from this number under the Caller ID "Hp Canada". Thinking it was something to do with my printer, I answered and a french immigrant female voice asked me if I was the owner of the house at my address. I said yes and she hung up. Kinda worrisome.

they were asking me about my hydro-quebec consumption... I hung up.

The person who called me is so rude asking why I don't speak french that i am stupid. My Money is English so whatever heating/vemtilation supply he is selling he won't get business from me nor my friends. I will spread this out.

Our phone rings in the middle of the night several time in a row and when the voice mail takes over there is just a long beep.
And when I call back it doesnt even ring.

Received a call earlier today diplaying HP Canada on caller dissplay. The caller was speaking french and when  I responded stating that I did not speak french this is what was said by caller: " Are you that F...g stupid that you live in Quebec and don't speak french" I hung up but was extremely angry. I decided to call back to the number with no luck so I decided to follow up with HP Canada on the internet to report their caller. I guess I was part of a scam and am quite relieved that I chose to hang up.

I received a call from this number yesterday afternoon at 16h06. Now, why would Statistics Canada be calling me, especially after 16h00. Everyone knows that the federal governament shuts down at 16h00.  Oh, I tried calling them back this morning: all I got was dead air.

I just got 2 calls from this apparent HP Canada, at this same number. The first hint it was bogus was they left no voice mail and then called back again less than 5 mins later. The second? They asked for my husband using MY family name (my name is listed in the phone book, his is not.)

I've written info@antifraudcentre.ca to officially complain. If we want to stop this type of thing, I suggest everyone who got called by these &%#*%&# to write to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre today.

Cet appel venait d'un monsieur qui disait être de l Cie HP Canada.  Il m'a dit que je me qualifiait pour une subvention spécialement pour les gens qui gaspille beaucoup d'énergie.   Il me demande qu'elle sorte de chauffage j'ai.  

A en juger par le bruit de fond, cette appel provient d'un bureau ou il y a beaucoup de téléphoniste

repeated calls from these scammers - calls asking to "cancel your subscription" to online Yellow Pages listings, then wants to charge $499 to cancel something that doesn't exist.

do not say ANYTHING to these scumbags, or you may wind up with these false cancellation charges added on to your phone bill.

They call at least 2 times a day, we work from cell phones and there is a charge every time they call.  The minute you pick up the phone they hang up.  This is costing a lot of money!!!

he ask personal information.He called imself HP compagnie and tehe reason of the call propose lower rated on elctricite bill. you cant reach them. He suppose to call back for a offer. He mentionned is cooperated whit regie du batiment et de la construcion du quebec.

When they called the caller ID showed ?Hp Canada?. What appeared to be old French speaking lady switched to English. She said she was from Hp Canada and wants to talk to the owner of the house.  Being from the same area code (450) I was suspicious since HP?s offices are in north Montréal; hence a Montréal area code should have shown; I asked her what she wanted. She said that they are working with a government agency that she named ?I forgot which one.? To help home owners reduce their heating coasts. Then she asked about the type of heating and its age. I was reluctant to answer, but I did. She then continued with her sales pitch emphasizing on the keyword ?new technology? I stopped her asking for a brochure. She said she does not send any.  Then she seems to lose track and started asking questions about how much we pay for heating and if the amount is the same every months. I told her that I already answered questions I should have not answered. And this is one more question like that.  I then asked her? Hp stands for what?? She then got mad and said forget it you are impolite and we both hung up.
This post is one way to help shutdown these thieves. If everyone reports these incidents to authorities and / or online posts like this. People will be aware and authorities will act.

When I received a call from this number, they requested me by my maiden name (which I have cut ALL ties to) and said they were trying to get me my medical card. I was so suspicious and aggravated by this, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I received a bunch of BS excuses. Because it was the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, I was told the supervisor would call me back Tuesday morning. Thursday morning and still no call back, I tried to call them. No ringing, no answering, and finally it just hangs up.

It's a total scam. Don't give them any information. Tell them to stop calling and hang up.

They claim to be specialist in Heating and recovery of heat in order to reduce your heating bill.  it states HP Canada. I google it tand this does not exist.  Please do not divulge any infortmation to them.  It must be another freaking scam to take money off our pockets.

We have received multiple calls at home from the 450-231-0022 number.  So glad I searched and found this information.  I've advised my mother that this is a scam.  So far they don't say anything, just silence and then the operator comes on.  We've had problem calls of this same nature in the past and even had one person threaten my father.  I called them back and really enjoyed threatening them!  My parents are elderly, but thankfully wiser than some.  It makes me sick that these companies are out there.
