How do I stop these annoying calls about updating my Google listing?  The calls come from numbers across the country and as a business person I MUST answer my phone. I've asked dozens of times to be removed from their list and still receive the calls.   What can I do legally?  I'm tired of it!

So, I received a phone call from this number and realized they are a great company. They offer services for great prices. They do SEO and marketing for half of what other companies would offer! They create websites, add directories like Yahoo, Google, Bing! and many others. They showed me their website and they are Google Certified partners, Yahoo and Bing certified and have grown my business 12% in the first 3 months of being with their company.

GOOGLE CANNOT CALL YOU AND THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU.. They partner with smaller companies that help Google make money by selling advertisements, listings, etc. Google is too big to worry about a person like yourself "Kent."

How do you know that Brand Local numbers are from callerid4u

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Another SEO scam using "Google" for confusion.  Pressed "1" and talked to a guy.  Told me he's in Irvine, California.  It's probably Prime 29.  I invited him over for some quick sex, but he just hung up.

Gee, my caller id said "WIRELESS CALLER"  which I think is also probably not true.  I have talked to these Google Ad scammers before.  I fooled around with them.  I said do you know the name of my business?  Do you know what services or products we have?  Do you know what our market is?  These fake-o quackers didn't have a clue.  Besides I have a relative already in the online ad business and he is honest and a gizillion times better.  But we don't need to advertise.  Our specialized market is so small, we are already the only providers in the world.  Like I said before, all telemarket scammers should be put face first into a barrel full of monkey poop in Hades, which is where they belong.  They are domestic economic terrorists.

There is nothing anyone can do about these scam/scum artists. They have learned how to call from one place and the call goes through different cities and exchanges before it gets to you. They have even figured out how to make it look like it's coming from your own area code. The DNC people can't figure out how to stop it. There was an expert in the field on 60 Minutes who said "the only way to stop them is to make the phone companies, who are making millions from all of these calls, stop giving out these numbers to just anyone".
That same person also said that the DNC listing is "worthless" due to these con artists.
The FCC has even offered a $50,000.00 reward to anyone who can figure out how to stop the calls. This shows you how helpless our government is.
JUST DON"T ANSWER ANY OUT OF AREA CALLS. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

From what I've read, a number of scams come from this number.  It's always good to dodge a bullet.

Our FCC is probably a democrat run organization and they are going to get buy with breaking the law just like the current congress, senate on up to the president and his cabinet. Think about it.

Don't just "dispute" the charges. Tell your cc number that this is a case of fraud, because that's exactly what it is. This is an important distinction.

That is because they are scammer and beat you out of $399.00. Better cancel that credit card you used to pay them. then dispute the charges.

Yep another scammer claiming that I need to update my google listing. It is an automated message. Very obnoxious sounding female voice. Kind of reminds me of fingernails being scraped across a chalkboard. Press 1 for more info press 9 to be removed from their list. I just use the auto reject feature on my Android.

Constant calls, inappropriate times of the day. Leaves no voicemail and no ability to speak to someone. Interferes with my work with constant calling.

Left a message on my machine about updating my Google listing. Scammer, I am sure. Google knows how to get a hold of me if they want me.

I continue to get phone calls
from google about my business advertising whatevers haven't been claimed. I don't intend to claim them. I have spoken to the person calling and asked
to be removed from the call list. No luck. I block the number, they get a new number. If I can't figure out a way to stop these harassing calls, I will report them to the Do Not Call registry of which I am signed up for.
So what are my options? To my knowledge I haven't given google permission to call me with all this telemarketing stuff and I am tired of my work being
interrupted to answer their sales pitch phone call. There are other email and search options out there and I am on the verge of changing and talking.

You should probably have a website if you want people to be able to find you using a search engine. Google isn't the phone book, you know; they don't know you have a business just because you started one up and connected to the internet.

Same thing happened to me.

They are supposed to update my Google, Bing, Yahoo, Alta Vista, and Lycos for me in their search engine amplifier so that I can get a #1 listing everywhere when people look for my business Extreme Purse Experience. I got the reduced price of $399.00 after bargaining them down from $699.00. So far, I have not seen any #1 listing of my company!

Getting calls everyday from this number

They left no message.  I deleted this call.

Called tonight 10/11/12 6:45pm. Comes up Wireless Caller. Answering machine picked it up. Some B/S about a Google account.
I called Google yesterday cause i got 1 call yesterday from the same number.
I told them someone is using Googles name to scam people. They took this number 458-201-0259 and said they will look into it. Well see......
