This caller, 462 000-2988, rang my phone and I answered.  A recording told me that I am paying too much interest. (Baloney because I pay no interest at all on my credit cards.) Finally I am advised to press nine to get help for a non-existent problem. Then I had fun.  I unleashed my vocabulary of not so nice words on the person who answered.  Perhaps they'll have less fun calling people if that is the response they get from us more often!

Harassing telemarketing calls:
From "supposedly" Credit Card Member Services. They ask you to press "9" to speak to a representative about lowering your interest rates. * THIS IS A SCAM! *
I pressed "9" and asked their phone number in case we got disconnected, the RUDE male replied that they had no phone number there. When I asked for the company name, he yelled, "You don't need that. We haven't even seen if you qualified yet. That will just waste our time."   I said waste your time? Let me speak with another representative. He hung up.
These have been going on for years now with no end in sight unless enough people complain.
PLEASE take 5 minutes out to register your complaint to the National Do Not Call Registry and the FCC.

Same as the others.  I've pressed 2 or 3 which is suppose to take you off their call list.  If I press 9 to get an operator as soon as I ask to be taken off their calling list they hang up instantly.

I have filed 3 complaints to the national do not call site.  So far no action.  I suggest EVERYONE file a complaint.  Eventually our government will catch up with them.

They wanted to lower my interest rate and I press 9 to speak with a live operator. I am on the do not call list as well, but like most government programs this does not work as well as desired. When I asked who she was and from what company she was calling, she hung up. I will take a little more time and get more info. Game afoot Watson.

They are rude and teling me they will call back every hour, I do not have any credit cards and do not need to lower my cost.  Who is this Company

Just received a call from 462-000-2988--ID Unavailable--did not leave a message.  I am on the dnc list and get so many unidentified calls- I do not answer.  This area code and exchange was so strange that I looked it up.

Honest telemarketers use the DoNotCall Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not so no need for them to buy/steal DoNotCall numbers. I just got the call & answered it it says that they have information that I am in financial trouble (must be because I live in Michigan) times are tough but I am not in 'trouble' and to press 9 to speak with a representative. So I did, to tell them not to call me anymore. A lady comes on the phone & I ask what company this is she say something about Right Way, and I say why did you call me? She says (VERY RUDELY) that she did not call me I called her. I said, noooo, I got a phone call, she says did you push the number nine? Yes I did, I tell her. She says then YOU called ME! (yelling)  I said listen lady, I am going to say this as nicely as possible....she cuts me off & says oh no, Im not dealing with this and hangs up!

I had intended to ask how she got my information and to take my number off her list....OOOHHH that makes me so mad! Wait until they call again! I will answer it & I will go postal on someone!

And yes, I too am on the do not call list! I think the list is bs & I wonder if THAT is how these people are getting the numbers????

Caller I.D. says: UNAVAILABLE, and the number is 462-000-2988.  I simply do not answer any I.D. that presents information stating: UNAVAILABLE.  They can call but we don't answer. ?

When people are calling back this number, 462-000-2988 by using the CALLBACK function on their phone, they get my cellphone number!  My cellphone number is 248-462-0002.  I have had over 25 calls from some very unhappy people wondering why I called them.  I am so frustrated by this.  I have gone to ATT to report this and they changed my SIM card but I'm still getting the calls.  I guess I'll just have to change my cellphone number.

They message was that this was regarding my credit card and I could lower my rate and press 9 to continue.  I'm on the do not call list.  Grrr.  They did not identify themselves.
