Today the call is from some kind of spotless window washing.  No thank you and hung up as the woman continued to rattle off whatever scheming script she had been given.  It is a sad time in America when people have to take these kinds of jobs just to have a job.  Time is short.

This number was given to me by a scammer on match.com and facebook called Isaac Sparks claiming to be from Irving, TX.  Soon will come an email stating he is taking a trip to Cape Town South Africa, then he will need you to cash a check while he is out of town since he has no banking there.

Solve this problem with a SILENT ring tone.
To do this use the record option on your phone. Record SILENCE for 1 second. Save the phone number that you want and assign the name "Do not answer". Assign the silent ring tone to this number.

After that when they call you will not be bothered because you will not hear a ring as it is silent.  The only way you know they called is when you look at your phone and see that you missed a call. When you see the missed call was from "Do not answer" you can just laugh.

Does not block the call but otherwise solves the problem.

I ignore these type of unrecognized calls, but they called last night at 11:58 pm.

This Texas number calls every day of the week, often twice per day. They can knock themselves out (since I cannot knock them out myself) as I never answer the phone and havn't in years unless I recognize the caller on caller id. if anyone wants to reach me, they will leave a message with a telephone number and the purpose of their call. If it's a legitimate caller, i always return my calls.

Same as many above.  Received a call on my cell phone, but I didn't recognize the area code or the number so I didn't answer.  No voicemail was left.  If a call comes through from a number I don't recognize but it's in my area code I'll likely answer it if I can, but won't answer unknown calls from area codes I don't recognize

This number called my cell. I did not answer. Found this forum discussing this number. If you find out who it is, please let me know - I would love to visit them. My cell is on the National Do Not Call directory.

Actually, they are in violation.  Calling cells is still illegal, because the subscriber pays for mnutes.  Even surveys, or the like are in violation, if you asked them to put you on the internal dnc list. Under the law, they must keep a list, and add your number if you request.  There are some exceptions, such as local fund raising groups, without "paid people" doing the calling.  When a caller is "paid for calling"

I got a call yesterday from this number (shows up TX, USA) but I keep my phone on silent while at work, so it is just a missed call.  Just now got a call from a local number saying my number had called and done a crude prank call.  I can't help but think the two are related, as I haven't made an outgoing call from my phone in about 6 hours.

I called the number back and the computer said the survey time had elapsed

Have also received calls from this number & 720 area code.

Missed a call from 469 250 0270 which was listed as Dallas, TX. I called back and heard a recorded message telling me that the time for the survey has ended and to press 2 to be removed from the list.

Rec'd call from this number yesterday. Called it back today. HAHA too late to participate in Survey. DID give me option to NOT participate in future Surveys by pressing 2 NOW.. lol  We shall see.. I was able to block this number from my phone.. TY Samsung...

Got the call, Loved it!  Why, because I have a Digitone Call Blocker. It hangs up on them and my phone doesn't even ring. If you like these kinds of calls as much as I do, you need to buy one also.
