I received a letter from Global Consulting INC.

Got a letter in the mail.  Check inclosed looked legit.  Knew it had to be a scam.  supposedly I won 2nd prize of 470,000.  The check was to help pay for the taxes.  Was advised to contact claims agent:  Chris Pope @469-277-2151.

Got a letter in the mail saying I won 470k and I had to deposit tge checj sent to me worth $2975 to pay my taxes! Once I deposit it I should give them a call back. My husband and I both knew it was a scam so we called several times as different people and they never asked me for any information, I even game them the wrong name and a wrong claim number and they still said congrats you are our second prize winner! After we told them we depostied it theu gave us a address to send them our money to pay taxes on our check we were about to receive. We knew it was a scam, I hope the FBI nails these people.

GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL WITH A CHECK AMOUNT OF 4,417.00 WHEN I CALL THEY TOLD ME TO PUT IT IN MY BANK THEN CALL THEM BACK SO THEY CAN TELL ME WHERE TO SEND MONEY FOR TAXES OF 470,000.OO THAT I HAVE WON THEN MY BANK SAID IT WAS AITERED AND FICTIOUS THEY DIDNT ASK FOR BANK INFORMATION BUT I AM GOING TO REPORT IT

They sent my friend a letter and a check for $2975 saying she won a sweepstakes and to deposit the check in her bank account and if she doesnt have a bank account open one, then call back so they can tell her how to get the rest of her money, he also claimed he didnt need her bank account number or routing number

Got a letter yesterday from Global Consulting Inc out of Irving TX, with the same phone number.  In the letter was a check for $4417.00 drawn on JP Morgan Chase Bank in Dallas, TX.  Going to report it to the FTC and to my bank.

suppose to won a check for 4,417.00.

Received check and letter in mail.  Check for $4400 request to call to activate check 1-469-277-2151.  Supposedly won 2nd place pot of $470K

This scam runs out of Canada at least in part.

Recieved a letter mailed from Canada with a check for $4950 drawn on Commerce Bank in NJ. The letter saying I had won $270,000 had an address in Odessa, TX. Called the bank in NJ, they say the check is bogus & they are working with the FBI on this. Knew it was a scam, but made the call anyway. If you get a check from someone you don't know... check it out before messing up your bank account.
