Maria just text me to from the same number as everyone else. She said she was interested in what I had but her mover would bring me a certified check. I told her I only deal local and cash only. Then I looked up that number to see where it came from. I told her I knew the phone was based out of Grand Praire, TX.  She won't talk to me after that.........Scammer!!!!!!

This person is using Google Voice number 469 278 5799 to send SMS text messages to Craigslist sellers telling them they will get a cashier's check and wants their address to send it to. Do not send your address to this person.

Yes claims to be a Maria Jones who is a petroleum engineer and is too busy to get to a computer to use the real pay pal and her mover needs the money. Sent me a check today for 2000 for a 250 dollars item. Um really how stupid am I. Do not listen to this person.

Dont deal with anyone connected with this number,craigslist scammers,report to grand prairie, texas pd internet fraud dept,federal trade commision, they use a 360 prepaid cell phone,useing sms/text as first contact and claim to want to purchase the product without checking it out,and sending a check for and overpayment amount,,,scammers.

I got a text from this number "Maria" at 6:30 this morning wanting info to send check! i'm in North Carolina! As soon as I asked why this person wants to send check, contact stopped! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!

I got a text asking if this item was still available. Person said she did not want to look at items just wanted to send payment and would get back to me about when someone would pick items up. Also, she said she was a consignment retailor and couldnt get away because of work. THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO ABOUT YOURSELF OR BANK TO THIS WOMAN.

I recieved a text from this number it was a guy named Matt and a girl named Maria. They said strange things about not wanting to see the item I was selling and would just make me a payment. They are really shady and I told them to not contact me again.

I got 2 text's from the same number about two totally different ad's listed on CL at 3:43 in the morning, one for a set of trailer axles, The other for a set of head's for a V6 pickup. ((( Maria))) was the name on the text.
I thought to myself, Why would someone text about two totally different items.
I guess they thought i was a idiot.
But then again i suppose they could have wanted to put an engine together an put it on a set of axles.

this number and 4698928683 are both prepaid cellular phones for the purpose of craigs list scam artists attempting to get you too sell goods for exchange of bank info and certified check or false paypal transfer. BEWARE ANYONE who contacts you from either number.
