Tucker, Albin and Associates, Inc contacted our business to assist us in collection only to turn around and harass us, collect from us and/or sue us. On January 2014, Tucker, Albin and Associates, Inc contacted our business to attain our past due accounts. John claimed that they could collect in 5 days, and once they collected, they would keep a percentage of the payment and send us the rest.

On January 30, 2014 our business signed a contract (via online) with Tucker, Albin and Associates, Inc. providing them with one account to collect (Customer JS). John was persistent to get more accounts, I mentioned that we only had one more past due account and he asked for the information. I gave him the city and and asked why he needed more information if we did not want to collect from that customer yet (Customer RR). He then said he got the address and full name from the internet and that that customer has a history and it would be best if we submit him for collection as well.Once again I made it clear we did not want to collect from him.

A few days later he called again and instead of speaking with me, spoke with the owner, who does not take care of accounts receivable or payable, and confused him by asking about Cutomer RR. The owner thought he was referring to JS and asked him to continue collecting, to which John at Tucker now says that was a verbal contract that we gave them the account.

John called again and had strong dispute with the owner insisting that we gave him that account. He insisted that we send him the invoices right away. The owner explained he does not even have access to the customers information and he has expressed he did not want to submit him to collection, that there must have been a misunderstanding.

Now, less than a month later Tucker, Albin and Associates has not collected from customer JS, the account we did submit, they turned around only to harass us into collecting $450 from us, otherwise in their own words "Failure to comply will make this $450.00 problem result in a several thousand dollar problem."

I don't know if they are a legit business but it seems that they are running these scams on other businesses. There are over 100 bad reviews in several places on this company both from their customer and their employees who confirm they treat their customer bad if they don't want to do business with them.

First they call to get accounts. Before collecting the ones they were given, they call to get more accounts. The names given to them all have a bad history and it is urgent we collect soon. Weeks later and having collected nothing, they return calls only to collect from the businesses who hired them in the first place for "breach of contract" and threaten to sue.

On the phone they are rude, persisting and insulting. It seems that they have all the time in the world to collect, be it 1 year, 3 years, 10 years the account is theirs. If you collect even if it is a year later (due to their failure to collect, you must pay them a percentage or they will sue you. To their point of view, they deny all accusations as if all these business are coming together to allege the same malpractice accusations against them.

I am suprised a class action suit has not been files against them, I would be interested in participating.

Yeah I had a call from a David that came from a local # saying he was going to come to my house and run vin #'s, etc. and that I didn't need to be there. I told him not to step foot on my property, and he said "This is America, I can go wherever I want"....first of all he should try that argument when trying to get on a military base? I don't believe he's shown up yet and don't think he will.
Jim Wilson initially called and identified himself as an attorney and said I was 60 days past due (which would have actually been 43 days, for a debt that the company was supposed to be automatically charging my card for, didn't put it through and didn't contact me about the debt) and that the contract had been accelerated and all future payments were due in addition to legal fees, etc. He was really rude and condescending and definitely didn't like that I argued with him. I haven't received harassing phone calls since so I don't really know how they are going to proceed. They have still mentioned litigation after my attorney sent a letter about the account attempting to resolve so I guess we'll see...my experience hasn't been horrible but I definitely felt like they were trying to strong-arm me, especially when he said within 2 minutes "I might be able to get him to take half". I'm thinking I will probably fight this rather than just going to the settlement table, this whole situation is ridiculous anyway, even from the vendor's side that I was dealing with, unfortunately.

I received a voice mail from none other than Patrick Smith with a bogus company called Smith and Smith Investigations who I am pretty sure is married to a woman named Smith, has a dog named smith, all kids are named smith and probably smells like Smith!! Anyways, he was contacted by Stephany B*****d, I mean Baxter,  to do an audit asset investigation into a company that does not exist and was very bad at following a script. Wanted to come out to a couple of different locations to take pictures of facilities and provide stills and video records of the establishments, run vin numbers on vehicles or work trucks, do an inventory of any machinery, products, equipment and supplies. Find out which banks hold lines of credits, checking and savings accounts. Once he has collected any assets, liabilities, vendors, banks and clients who do business with this non existent company he is to return all of his findings to Miss Baxter. Sounds like fraud to me. Maybe a low life trying to take advantage of somebody who can't see through the BS and steal their identity. His number was scrambled by a computer to make it look like a local number 434-556-5566...hhhmmmm.. that's an awful lot of 5's and 6's. What an idiot. All numbers trace back to Tucker Albin and A***oles...i mean associates. You will not find one good comment about this group of bottom dwelling scum suckers and any comment that is good was posted by their own employees to try to untarnish their image. Problem is that anybody that has had a run in with these rejects can see right through the BS. Well, bring it on Mr. Smith. Come do this audit and expose the clown you really are. I'll meet you day or night. They will use whatever threat and strong armed tactic they can think of to try and dupe you. And then will not live up to their end of the agreement for the company they are collecting for. Do not buy the BS.

Our company recently received numerous daily phone calls from John Monahan as well. At first, he was just firm (with a creepy voice) and then he became more and more rude and unprofessional. If the person he was looking for wasn't here at the time, or the mail wasn't delivered to him with his check at a certain time on a certain day, he was belligerent and threatened physical violence. Not only threatened the person on the other end of the phone, but their entire family as well. He was asked that if he could not be professional, we were hanging up. So, we hung up. He called back, and the only thing he said was, "remember this name, David Spencer, he's a private investigator I've hired and if he's not there today, he'll be there tomorrow" and hung up. Very creepy, unprofessional, belligerent and illegal tactics this guy has. He claims he works for himself, although he works for Tucker, Albin and Associates in their legal dept. I  have read all of these reviews, along with contacted the Attorney General's office, and it seems everyone who has any interaction with this guy, has the same experience. He needs to be stopped and hopefully with the legal actions we are taking, and enough complaints, that will happen. He tried explaining to us that we were stupid and didn't understand his terms. Well does he understand that it is illegal to use the threatening language he has AND a federal crime being in another state?! Let's hope justice is served.

to give real insight on this company. First they had an agency called Graff Rodgers and McMahon, and the CEO was Logan Graff.... the agency was a failure due to non payment and uncollected debts. So what do they do, exactly what professional debtor do, decide to make a nother agency and just say they bought the assets off the other company, then they close the doors to the old agency and now they are all new and improved.

Well it is the same exact people that could not honestly run an agency correctly in the first place. ( Just read the reviews from clients on google lol  )

People be warned, Collection agencies pull this stuff all the time. Start owing clients money and then next thing you know they have a new name and they are calling the clients with lies... ask them to show you the proof of the sale... any real attorneys handle it? bet not!

As far as having a B rating with the BBB, not true either. You have an F rating from not only debtor complaints ( which is expected, but a ton of client complaints too) that show exactly how you do business.

Don't get me wrong, I and just talking about this agency here, because there are some agencies that are real good and take good care for their clients. I happen to work for one. Not all agencies are bad.

It is very upsetting that agencies like this make hard working companies look bad.

Look on the web site, they have client reviews ( no client information) so I call BS on that one.... The information on there is a bunch of bosting and bragging about getting rewards and all, but fail to tell you that any company that stays open for a year gets the same dam reward... it dont mean crap, hell I have seen companies that have filed Banko and went under get the same rewards lmao.. nice try....

Why dont you post your more important things??? How about harmless agreements or is it ok to have the client get sued for your poor attitudes and misrepresentations? (Yes you client can get sued for using them with out this)

How about your bonding and licencing information showing you have the legal right to collect for the companies in the states you need to be, and outside the US as well??? Your not Members of the CLLA ( Commercial Law League of America, I checked....

i call these people 3 or 4 times a day just to call them all sorts of names (names i can't post on here) and taunt them to get on their job and do more to collect a debt they think I owe. I completely turned the tables on these people to where they won't even take my calls anymore or they just hang up right away. John Monahan is a child molester from what i'm told from a good source

we have also had the pleasure of these same tactics from this group of crazies but my staff and I are wise to them and now view their antics as entertainment and laugh at them. the worst they will ever do is call on the phone and spew their twisted language. I look forward to their calls when i'm bored so i can match wits with them and leave them feeling degraded and belittled. i saw a post that one of the employees there (John?) is a child molester.

JIM WILSON is a loser!!! they call 20 times a day email call our customers all for a debt we paid years ago and do not owe!! He feels like being a tough guy on the phone is a way of doing business, screams yells curses at you like he has a right to speak o you that way. do not give them any info. just keep letting them call and try every shady low life way they can think of. 3-1-2013 Received a call from a man identifying himself as Pat Roberts claiming to be a private investigator hired by Jim Thompson with Tucker & associates on a pretrial issue. Said he was coming to our office to video tape our facility, all our assets and wanted info on our banks and line of credit. Said he was going to my home address as well.
He would not give me his phone# but stated he was hired by a Jim Thompson as part a pre-trial issue. He's a liar, there is no pre-trial issue. Jim Thompson is a collection agent with Tucker Albin & Associates, not an attorney or paralegal and does not work for a law frim. They were calling on a bill that we have already paid to the vendor. They were trying to extort and harrass us and have no legal authorization to come onto any of our property, business or otherwise. As a Texas Corporation you can not pierce the corporate veil and involve the owners of the corporation unless fraud has been proven in a court of law.
The only fraud here is Tucker Albin & Associates and their operations. Our experience with this company has been with a Sue Star and a Jim Thompson, (if that's their real names) Both of them lose their cool, yell over the phone and call people names. In the case of Sue Star, she cursed at one of my employees over the phone.
I'm going to check into what can be done to either reveal them publicly and/or legally. I'm sure that this kind of harrassment is illegal.

I used them once and now they won't leave me alone!  They say they want my business but won't back down when I tell them no one owes my money.  They are REALLY rude about it.  I have asked numerous times for them not to call but they still do it anyway.  I am going to report them to the FTC.
