Wife answers phone caller says she is from Microsoft.  Wife gives phone to me caller says she is from online PC Solutions in an Indian accent. She tells me I have error reports on my PC. I said how do you know? There is nothing wrong with my PC. (actually I have an Apple) I ask her what is your street address? This takes some time, eventually I get Melbourne, then more extraction get 'Albert Park' then she cannot give me a building number. I then ask her for the phone no. This is very slow and jumbled. I ask her to repeat it, it is a different number. I then ask for her first name she takes 5 seconds to remember who she is, Rose' comes the laboured response. Ay this point I tell her off for wasting peoples time. It is a well known scam.

I am interested in where you are located, your message is written as if you are from another country. PC Solutions is definitely a scam. I have asked every person from PC Solutions their business number, and all of them are dislocated or no longer in service. I have received several phone calls and the person calling ALWAYS has a thick, Indian accent. They have been very rude because I haven't followed their directions and let me scam me. I have told everyone I know about this scam, so no one else can get hurt by it.

My elderly mother received a phone call from this caller and they told her that she needed to renew her Microsoft License or else she would lose all access to the Internet.  They told her to log in on her computer, and walked her through on how to give them access, so that they could show her the expiring Microsoft License. AND she did!!!  Then they started their sales pitch that she needed to buy a new license for $299.  She told them that she wasn't ready to make that decision now because they called and woke her up, she's a diabetic and hadn't had anything to eat yet.  She told them she needed to get something to eat and think about this and she would call them back, and asked for their number.  They gave her this number:  469-675-6068, but told her that they would call her back at 1:00 p.m.  They had an Indian accent.  She called me and now we are working on damage control, ARGH!

An anonymous number called my house phone (which is on the do not call list). He (with an Indian accent)told me that he was from the Windows Support Center and that my windows computer was "infected." He told me to go to www.support.me and type in the 6- digit code 868278. He also said that his service number was 469-675-6068. After that, I said he was full of it and hung up. After that i found a download progress screen and immediately powered down my computer. I feel that if I stayed on any longer, all of my personal information and credit cards would have been compromised.

This guy identified himself as Mark Wilson and told me my computer was showing signs of malicious activity, that he needed to remote control and clean it up.  I allowed him to connect for two minutes when I expected a scam and then disconnected my internet connection.

Thank God I had a paid service that cleaned up their mess.  I use Advanced Tech Support who did connect and used several programs to take out t he hooks that guy put in.  Now I need to call my bank and credit cards

Received a call two months ago telling me he worked for a P C company stating microsoft had problems with their program and my computer showed that it was affected by it.  He said my computer contacted him due to problems.  I had not been using my computer for awhile so I would not let him have access to my information.  His words before I hung up were , Well it is your computer if it crashes it is your frault.  After hearing that I was sure he was not working for Microsoft.  Today at 9:56 I receive a call from the same man stating he need to gain access to my computer due to viruses I was downloading while browesing.  I asked for a number so I could verify the company.  He gave me 469-675-6068 so I could check.  I refused to give him any information upon hanging up I called the phone company to find out where the number was from.  Needless to say I have also contacted our area police with the number.  Funny my daughter also got the same call I did two months ago and we spoke about how we would not give information out.

How strange. I just got a call today from this number. One person I spoke to had a heavy accent. Maybe from Haiti. Then he put someone else on line. This person told me he was from Micosoft. I did not believe him. I said, Microsoft never calls anyone. NOT ever. He claimed to be NIck Jones. But, He had a heavy Indian accent. And when I said. I want your real name. He told me it was his real name. I did not believe him. I then did a boo boo and cursed at him. He then threatened me me, I will be sorry I said that.

So much for being from Microsoft. lol

Had a similar call. Got quite wound up as I knew it was a scam, ended up having a go at him and hanging up. Have had numerous calls since asking if I abused their staff - told them all the same; I abused him and I'll continue to abuse anyone who bothers calling me from the same "company". Unfortunately TPS registration doesn't affect foreign callers such as these. Irritating, to say the least. Never, under any circumstances grant a cold-caller remote access to your PC as they have all the tools/intention to lift various personal details, bank information etc.

My Grandma got a call for my Mum claiming they were from Windows Support System and told me they had been receiving error reports from my computer and said they believe it was infected. They got me to get up a 'Run' box using the 'Start' button. In the 'Run' box there was a blank type box and he told me to type in it 'eventvwr' I did so and pressed OK. It then went to a window which showed information, warnings and errors. It showed
5471 or something around there errors. In which he started to occasionally blurt out with "Oh my God" and "Jesus Christ" as we continued talking about how we could get rid of all these problems. Corrupted files and such. I think his name was Kevin and he had an Indian accent. He said he needed to get infront of my PC and take control of it so he could recommend some software which contained warranty, anti-virus, software protection and protection against harmful and infected files. It was a real genuine bit of protection software as I googled it and found it. It all seemed so legit, and I have recently been having problems with my laptop. Unfortunately it was a scam as I found out later. Sadly, I'm only 12 and only just developing common sense. So, I put the numbers he told me to into the box so he could get infront of my computer, when then he recommended the protection software and started badgering me and my Mum for money to buy subscriptions for this security, my Mum refused the immediate payment. Then he tried to frighten me into it by talking about sudden death if the protection wasn't bought and installed. My Mum refused and so we disconnected from them. Several hours later I returned to my laptop and got my Dad (computer genius) on the case. He said I should have never let this dodgy bloke into my computer. Kevin mentioned some viruses though and so my Dad found some free protection software from the Microsoft website which covers all this stuff and these problems. But the download failed and when we returned to my desktop all my icons were gone and everything iny documents etc were missing. They had gone. I cried my eyes out for about 30 seconds then took the pain and. learnt from mistakes. S'pose that's a hardpace of one day and it was horrible experience.Oh and also it was found out. that my laptop only  had a duplicate versipn of Windows 7. Which added a little spice to the chilli. A laptop I've had for
3 years. Oh well. That's life.

I was called twice by these idiots. The first time I said I didn't have a computer and hung up.
The second time a 'William Turner' with a strong Indian accent called so I thought I'd have some fun with him and played along for 20 minutes. I put the phone on loud speaker and carried on doing what I was doing. Every time he asked if I was still there I said the computer was booting up but was really slow and must be due to the virus he was talking about. He was too stupid to realise I was messing with him. Also I kept asking him to repeat what he'd said just to wind him up more.
Eventually I told him he was full of s--t and I was transferring the call to the police. At this point he got quite agitated saying I must be some sort of crazy man wasting 'his' time and energy. Quite funny at the time.
If you've got the time just keep them on the line to p--s them off.
I've had another call since which may be the same guy using just my surname and telling my wife he was a friend of mine and wished to speak to me!

I also received a similar call from an Indian man who said his name was Max Peterson, calling from Brooklyn, NY---same routine, he said his company's name is Online PC Solutions and he was calling because his company received an alert that my "Microsoft PC" was infected with a virus and he wanted to clear it for me.  When I asked for his address and phone number, he provided MY address and phone number and then told me that he was calling from his home and refused to provide a phone number to me.  When I told him that I do not have a PC, that I have a MAC, he became very flustered and aggressive.  I told him that I wanted to report him to the FTC.  He then asked me if I know what the FBI is????  Very aggravating and we should do whatever we can to get this obviously scam operation shut down!!

Hello,
I as well received a phone call from 24 PC Care which was a lengthy conversation.  Same numbers.  613-727-0611 and 469-675-6098.  Did they give you a special secret Logmein123 password?  Started with 93****?
What is this?  And when did Microsoft start calling customers?

I got a call from this number just a minute ago claiming to be 24/7 PC Care. They said that my computer has been infected or might have downloaded a virus. I told them my computer is working fine and nothing is wrong with it. I asked them how did you get my private number? They said since your a registered Window's user then that's how we got your phone number. I told them well your number showed up as a private number. What's your number and company's name? They said our number is 469-675-6068 and company name is 24/7 PC Care. I told them my computer is fine because I have Norton Anti-Virus and I'm not interested in buying anything you're selling. They soon hanged up after I said that. Don't provide any info to this company they just want to scam you. Get into your computer and steal your personal information like bank account, please beaware before it's too late. They also can put virus and malware on your computer then you'll have a useless computer.

I received a call from this company. I told them that they could be anybody phoning me. I kept asking them if they were trying to sell me something and they tried to avoid answering me. The conversation ended with me telling them how unethical there practices were. I was threatened by the caller who said, 'you do not want to know what I can do to you or your computer. I informed him that I would be reporting the incident to the police and he hung up. Yes he was Asian and his English was very poor.

Further more I would not put it past them to add their own own post on here. Under no circumstances would I trust people who go about business in this way.

I had two full on borderline aggressive calls from a woman called Amy from Global IT Solutions in London - the City, EC3. Trust me they are in a basement in Kuala Lumpur. One before Xmas and one today 7th Jan 2012 .

When I said as before, that I wasn't happy about them having remote access to my computer from someone I'd never met...she got faintly hysterical.

If you do have a problem with your PC, you take it in to folks you trust, right?
Not difficult is it?

Definite Scam. Tell them to  'k Off and hang up.

Sounds like you work for them, because I just had that very same call telling me I had a problem (but when I asked him to explain the "problem" he just kept say my computer had a "problem"), and I asked him for the name of his company and a number to call (because he said he was ringing from Melbourne but he sounded like he was calling from the moon) and I told him I was going to call him because because the line was so bad and he hung up!  I called the number and a recorded message told me I was unauthorised to call that number.  Guilty?  I think so..
