Always calling.  SCAM!  3 different numbers.

Texas FOP has shown up on our caller ID 3 times already. They've called from a different number each time.

This is a SCAM and I WILL be reporting it to the FCC EVERY TIME they call!!!!

He said, "Calling from FOP . . .  When I mentioned my
neighbor is a policeman. He hung up.

Male caller asked for the lady of the house. When I asked who was calling, he told me he was representing police officers and families who have lost members who were police officers. He asked for a donation of $10.00 or more. I had agreed to make a $10.00 donation, but before I gave my information, I asked why was he asking for the lady of the house when he called. He pretended that he couldn't understand what I was saying and said he needed to adjust his phone. He then continued to ask for my information. When I asked the question again, there was silence on the other end, so I hung up. The caller didn't call back.

Just tried to find their 800 number to call and tell them to back off, none listed.

I'm on Nat'l Do Not Call List, but it makes no difference to these clowns.  They continue to call, although I've repeatedly told them I'm on the Don't Call List.   Will file another complaint, and will call them several times (on their 800 number) to tell them not to call anymore.   Dubious that it'll help!   However, I'd rather the Gov't spent their money on supporting the troops on the ground in Iraq/Afghanistan than dedicate a great deal of time & money on this trivia...   (albeit annoying trivia!)

Son (adult) answered phone, caller asked for me, would not say who he was or who he was with, just that he would call back later.... must be a scam!

Saw the name on the caller id and did not answer. Have had many calls over the years claiming to represent peace officers. One woman a couple of years ago got very mad on the phone because I would not agree with her and would not agree to donate.  I kind of thought that she might be legitimate. I limit my giving to local charities that I recognize.

There is a "Fraternal Order of Police Texas Chapter" but their phone number is totally different (see below).  People calling from 4697180642 are probably scammers trying to get credit card numbers by using a similar sounding name.

Mind you my # is unpublished and I'm on the nat'l and state do not call lists as well.  Apparently these f**kers don't care.  My answering machine recorded part of an automated message from the 6872 # asking if I would accept charges.  Unbelievable.  What a bunch of scamming a**holes.

We have recieved calles from these people before from different numbers and i finally answered the call and thinking back it may be a voice recording anyways i answered and they would ask may i speak to the lady of the house but in my case there isnt and  i said no  and there was a long pause and that was it no response or nothing so there going on the do not call list cause its obvious that this is fake

This call has recently started and no name or id ever shows on caller id.
The only thing is the number 469 718 0642.
I tried to answer, and tried to let it go to message board. No message(s) left.

My phone number is unlisted and I have been receiving many calls from TX FOP but they are all different numbers.  I found the legal number so this must be a scam.  It is a shame that people do this.  Plus they call during the day when I am at work but just called at 8:30 pm and I did not answer.  I really recent being bothered like this when I am on so many do not call lists.  Shame on these people.

You can add 940-295-1889 to the list of numbers this "organization" calls from.  I have caller ID for a reason...

I got a call from this number, the gay on the phone ask for the lady of the house, when I ask who is speaking they hang up on me...crazy I think.  The number was 469-718-0642

They're calling to do fundraising for the Texas Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number back. It directed you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. There’s also information on texasfop.org. Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.

It seems like the FOP is doing a lot of really great things for police officers and their families. These people that are calling are trying to help them raise money so they can keep up their good work.

A male called requesting to speak with the ‘lady of the house' (which was an immediate turn off ). Since he didn't know who he needed wanted to speak with, it was apparent that this was a sales tactic. I asked whom I was speaking with, and he went right into the pitch.

The pitch spoke of police 'men' who need support, and how these 'guys' do so much in the community. As a strong advocate for police officers and someone who's eager to support them I was responsive even though his entire pitch was saturated in sexist language. I know several officers of the law personally, and all of them are female. His call asking for a women's donation to support the men of the law was very, very lame.

I let him know I'd be honored to support the organization, and then I asked why he requested to speak with the lady of the house. He could hear me just fine throughout the call, but once I asked that question he suddenly needed to adjust his volume as he claimed he couldn't understand me. He tried to go back into the donation process, but I asked the question again to which he disconnected the line.

I only planned on getting their web address as I would never give money to an unknown person who calls me, but I didn't even make it that far. If you want these folks to leave you alone, just question the strategic use of gender in their pitch. It sucks because I am on the DND list.

How are these scam artists allowed to telephone people who are on the DNC lists?

A man called saying he needed to talk to my husband and asked for him by name and then the idiot said he was with the TX Fraternal Order of Police.  I told him he was not here at the time.I knew right away from one of the local channels it was a scam,  The number he called from as 469-718-0659, so apparently they are calling from a few other numbers.  Don't believe it for a moment.

They called and asked to speak to the man of the house. TX FOP is what appeared on the caller ID. The number displayed 469-718-0659. I continued to ask what was the name of the person they would like to speak and they acted as if they couldn't hear. Finally, he said I'll just call back later and hung up the phone in my face.

They keep calling me, sometimes they just let phone ring once o twice. Never leave messages
I have very good reasons to believe these phone calls are coming from Perryton, TX.

Just started getting calls from this number. They do not leave message. I'm checking with my local PD, where I have many good friends, to see if this is legit fundraising. The actual Texas FOP is a great organization, but I do not believe they are using these tactics to raise funds.

The Do Not Call List does not apply to charities or research companies (surveys).

Telling them you're on the Do Not Call List does absolutely nothing, and reporting them is useless. Just ignore the phone calls.
