It is the Texas Faternal Order of Police... if you call back there is a recording and you can take your number off the call list.

I called the number back and a message identified it as a charitable organization raising funds for the Fraternal Order of Police.

When you call you have to press 2 to be removed then you have to press 5 to be put on the do not call list and THEN you have to talk to a representative that keeps trying to get you to donate money. So what's the use of even telling them to take you off the call list if they are just going to bug you to donate when you don't want to in the first place?

Prank Call
Same ole scammer that has been trying to harrass me for over a year.  Uses various phone numbers to try and trick people into picking up the phone.  This time no message was left on my machine. used 469-718-0659.  area code 469 is from the Dallas area.  I am on both the national and state do-not-call lists but I guess crooks can ignore that until they are found.  It does not bother me anymore either because I let my machine screen the scum out. Individuals that stoop low enough to operate this, their mouths normally turn into a puckered anus.

It may be worth your time to read that the better business bureau does NOT even consider the TX FOP to be a CHARITY! So the fact that they are calling in mass quantities bordering on harassment and presenting themselves as such (though they may not use the word "charity" based on their speech anyone would describe them as such) is just plain wrong.

http://www.bbb.org/bryan/business-reviews/pol ... yan-tx-90002459

In addition on the BBB link it will also provide the info on the warning that the TX atty general's office issused regarding donating to organizations claiming to benefit public safety officers.

What is the biggest shame of all in this is that they are tarnishing the badge and if those who are even the strongest supporters of law enforcement are turned off to donating to the larger solicitation groups when called because trust has been undermined - one has to question what they have done to the trust in law enforcement period! Law Enforcement is one of those professions in which trust is nearly sacred and to no longer be able to TRUST law enforcement or those calling on their behalf and being able to take them at their word, does serious damage to the reputation of their ability to do their work on the street as well... it makes you just a little less likely to trust them and take them at their word because your only interaction may have been the non-stop harassing, not-so truthful and honest phone calls with the Texas Fraternal Order of Police in the past several months or years for some... I wish they would recognize the damage they are doing to their badge and that the other agencies would pressure them to stop these under-handed, bullying tactics that I believe are predatory.  If you are receiving multiple calls and harassing calls, or calls which are mis-representing what they do or can do a complaint should be filed with the Texas Attorney Generals Office - http://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/nonprofits.shtml

Update, just got fired for the earlier comment. It is obvious my, now ex bosses, monitor this page. Thats all I will say here. Go to http://www.crashedata.com (my blog) to read more about the firing and this company, and the legal action they are threatening me with. In addition, if your from CfC and you go to that website, be sure that the first page you read is the Terms & Conditions, even before the article on you, as the way the T&C page is worded exempts me from any legal action based on what is posted to that blog.

Oh, and also, with the answering machine weird/retardedness, and the "representing them selves as cops" I work there (which is why I am not using my real name and I am using a friends Internet connection, don't wanna get fired). The calls you receive from this number are actually pre-recorded audio files. It actually is a live person on the other end, and they can hear you (if you talk) but they just push a button to respond with the best response the system has to what you say. So it is a live/computer hybrid. This has its limitations. There is an "Answering Machine" button which just disconnects the call, however the person pushing the button must actually hear something like "leave a message after the beep" to know its an answering machine. Some people have there answering machine recordings so short that the person does not hear this (as it is an Assembly line system, a different agent handles each section of the call), so they don't know that they are talking to an answering machine.

Unfortunately, there is a design flaw in the system in which the "Yes" and "No" buttons are placed right next to each other (touch screen interface). This has the unfortunate side effect of accidentally pushing the wrong button sometimes.

Example:
Q "Are you a police officer?"
A "Yes" *DAMN IT, I MEANT TO PUSH NO!*

This is especially problematic when the touch screen is not calibrated right (which is unfortunately often the case).

Thats not even taking into account each agent handles three calls at once, one in the left ear, one in the right ear, and one in surround sound. If even one of those people is yelling at the agent, they might not hear you right, which can result in a completely wrong button.

Another design flaw in the (possibly programmed in the worst computer language ever for this type of system) of the system is that, while the agent may press the DNC button to add someone to the DNC, the person requesting DNC usually hangs up before the agent(s) can finish the process. Two buttons must be pressed to add someone to the DNC. The first is the normal "DNC" button. Upon pressing this button an audio file will play that promises to add the person to the DNC and apologizes. The second button is the Thank you, bye(DNC) button. Unfortunately, most people hang up before the agent can press the Thank you, bye (DNC) button, which is actually the button that adds the person to the DNC. This can (and often does) result in the call disappearing from the agent's screen before they can press it (sometimes if your lucky, the call hangs for a few seconds before disconnecting, but its rare). This is a design flaw in the system, and it should add you the moment the first DNC button is pushed, but it doesn't. You may still be added if a supervisor listens to a recording of the call later, but as even the smallest call center for this company calls more than 30,000 people per shift (2 shifts a day), this is, needless to say, unlikely.

Just thought that I would give some helpful info. I wont say which call center I call out of, my real name, or anything else cause I am all ready taking a HUGE risk saying what I have.

J. Jackson, are you retarded, or do you just enjoy acting that way?

They are a legit business (technically). Yes, they do operate in a legal grey area, but they are INFACT under contract WITH the FOP in ALL 50 states. Thats right, the Fraternal Order of Police lodges from ALL 50 states actually signed contracts with this company to solicit donations by phone. As the Fraternal Order of Police is a registered non-profit organization, ANYONE calling on their behalf are EXEMPT from the normal DNC laws, both state and Federal, and have a different set of laws they are required to follow.

1) Regardless of whether you are on the National or your states DNC or not, they can call you, anytime between 8 AM and 9 PM local time, UNTIL you specifically request to be placed on their individual DNC. This is because they are legally calling on "behalf" of a non-profit organization seeking donations.
2) They still CANNOT call cell phones by law.
3) Once you have requested being on their individual DNC, they are REQUIRED to do so. If they do not, the fines are actually worse than the $10,000 from the original DNC. (The company is usually fined 13,000+, which is paid directly to you, however you may be ordered to donate it directly to the charity anyways. It has happened like that before (e.g. Verizon Wireless Vs. Feature Films for Families/Corporations for Character, which are actually the same company).

In every law suit they lost that you mentioned, the winning party was ordered to turn around and donate the money back into the charity this company was soliciting for in the first place. So, yeah...

The Texas FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) is a MASONIC (Freemasonry) organization. This is a Secret  Society Organization (Cult). These people detest the very people that the so-called Corporations For Character are calling for contributions. Corporations For Character and The Fraternal Order of Police are essentially "two sides of the same coin". The calls each of you receives are, in reality, a harassment tactic designed to harass you, the recepient. For each and every person who is called, he or she has been selected for harassment for a reason, whether they consider you a misfit of society or some kind of deviant defined by their particular weird code of conduct, etc.

Simply do a web search on Freemasonry (Masonic Cults), and then try to figure out who the "all seeing eye" culprit is that has marked you for harassment. It may be your neighbor, a co-worker, etc., but can be certain, somebody (Mason) doesn't like you, to say the very least.

Do a little research on this subject. Try to be objective about your research, observations, and conclusions, and then just have a good laugh at these idiots.

I've read too many very sad comments about these FOP Masons harassing you. I hope somehow this little bit of information helps you not to be so concerned about their harassing calls.

Just go to Freemasonrywatch.org to get an understanding of who these criminals really are.

Oh boy FOP do we have you over a barrel. There is enough on here complaint wise to prove you have used fraudulent techniques so often that it is an obvious pattern and practice. Thats really all we need. Do you realize that we have you over a barrel. Do you see the handwriting on the wall.

These callers are using fraudulent techniques such as implying they are actual Police Officers, they are trying to intimidate you when they say "your not in trouble or anything" Dont let them intimidate you, as a matter of fact, just dont let them talk to you.

If any of you calling had any kind of backbone at all, you would stand up to your bos right now and tell him that you are not going to use these fraudulent techniques anymore. Do you have enough backbone left, or did they brow beat it out of you all ready

Do NOT give this group anything and pick up the phone and call your local police and sheriff department so they can issue a warning to your neighbors so they dont get ripped off either

No kidding, they count on you to not report them thinking its no big deal, but it is a big deal, it is a very big deal as millions of dollars a year are being taken from the families of officers killed in the line of duty.

http://www.pfcl.org/Badge_Fraud_Videos.html

They must be stopped, tell your neighbors and friends and co workers that this scam is happening in your community, email them the links above so they can know it is happening and defend themselves from being conned in the name of officers killed in the line of duty
