This number just called the office.  I make it a habit to not answer calls where the area codes are not local.  They did not leave a message.  Caller ID says Alicia McDowell.

"Hello is <<insert name of CEO here>> there?"
"Who's calling?"
"This is so and so from the office of Connie So and So"
"What company does Connie work at?"
"Convene Corporation"
"What is this call regarding?"
"I'm not authorized to share that information"
"Then I'm not authorized to put you through to her. Thanks. Goodbye"

Yes. I got the same call. They had my first name right but my last name wrong. They were looking for some manager at some store. Just a wrong number call.

I answered and the caller disconnected.

"Isabella Green," a young woman with an accent, claimed to be phoning on behalf of her boss, "Scott Bruce at SafeNet."  Her orders were to connect Mr. Bruce with one of our IT managers, but she didn't know the nature of the call.  I explained that I couldn't make the transfer without that information.  She said that she'd find out and call back, but based on past experience, I know she won't.  This is one of two ongoing scams that has hidden behind dozens of numbers; the other is a representative of "Diana Novick at Sunday Sky."  I've repeatedly told these people that we're tired of the harassment and to take our number off their list, to no avail.  They all play dumb and say okay, sorry, but it doesn't mean anything.

called my employer. missed call--no message.

called asked for me, then had total wrong last name and they hung up....  don't know who it is
