All bill collectors can do is harass you.  Period.  They are not attorneys and cannot sue you.  Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (A federal statute that governs the conduct of third-party debt collectors), they cannot use abusive language or call you at odd hours.  Also if you order them to "cease and desist" communication with you, preferably through a letter with language such as "Pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 15 USC 1692(c) (2006), demand is hereby made that you cease and desist communication with me immediately" they must stop all communications at once.  It doesn't mean that the original creditor won't sue you, but I have never known a collection agency to hire a lawyer -- they don't want to split the pie.  Further, if a collection agency that is not a licensed attorney (they almost never are), threatening to sue you when they do not have the capacity to do so is also a violation of the FDCPA and punishable by a $1000 fine per occurrence.  If an attorney writes you from out of state, check his bar registration in your state. If they are not licensed in your state, they can't file suit unless they hire a local attorney, further splitting the pie.  In my early 13 years as an attorney I have seen some outrageous debt collector tactics.  Don't put up with it for one minute.  You don't have to.  Russ Schenewerk  www.bransonattorneys.com

View your credit report.  (You can do it once a year for free through freecreditreport.com)  It was on my experian report.  I clicked on "Dispute Claim"  and filed out the small report.  Experian will handle it from there and send you an email when it is finished.  They did this to me also.  I too live in Arkansas.  They never had the bill so they could not provide proof so both claims got deleted from my report.  Make sure you dispute all of them because they are all seperate claims.  Hope this helps.

If I were you (anyone dealing with them) I would check my credit report!!  They posted 2 bills on my credit report that they didn't even have!  I disputed the account through my credit report and it got deleted because they never had the bill.

these people r crooks--had already paid a bill for 188.00-----these people dug it up again and demanded payment-even put it on my credit report--the hospital agrees with me--having trouble getting my money back--need to be turned in to better buiness burea

 I am on Medicaid and Medicare with a supplimental insurance also.  This rickman and rickman has posted TEN negative reports on my credit in the past month.  I live in Arkansas.  Anyone who can help me get this fixed, please let me know what to do....

This is a precollection agency for Baylor Hospital. I did not receive my bill from Baylor to pay it so they turned it over to these people. You often call and get a busy signal or a recorded message asking you to hold with Baseball trivia. Not professional at all.

Legitimate company. Called wanting payment for a medical bill that I had never received. Agent agreed to send out a bill and notified me that the balance is not in collections. When they did call my cell phone it rang once and immediately hung up. I called back and spoke with an agent and they went over the account details.

Really don't understand how debt collectors can get away with calling and not leaving voice mails, but it is what it is. My advice.. answer or return the call and see what they want. Don't ever let an agent force you in to making a payment without getting a bill. Don't take harassment from the agents as well.

Well rickman and rickman called me on christmas morring and has been calling me every early morring   and evry nite same thing is going on with me I call back and only want me to leave a message for them  but why don't they leave a message for me to let me know what's going on  that's why I 'm reporting it now and they just called  a little bit ago .!,,

They call me constantly as well.  I don't care why they are calling, the fact that they hang up on the answering machine and don't speak when I answer the phone ensures that I will never respond to them.  I will be filling a complaint with the AG though.  I'm sick of them calling.

I haven't had any problems with them. They always help me. If I can't make the payment on time they redo my payment plan with no problem. Guess I'm lucky?

They are very nice every time I talk to them. I call and make payments every month.

This is a company that collects for Baylor Hospital. They call about 5-7 times a day and do not leave a message. I have spoke to them multiple times and faxed my insurance information to them twice. They continue to call so I have provided my insurance information to them over the phone twice. I have had $167,000+ in medical care, surgeries, therapy, etc..from Baylor and for some reason a $253.27 x-ray was done without insurance applied. Go figure!

We received a call from them about a bill with Baylor Dallas.  They claimed that it was sent to collections, even though we were working with the hospital.  When I told her that she has called at an inopportune time, and request a website where I could contact them when I had the paperwork in front of me, the R&R rep became very aggressive.  I finally had to just end the call with a statement that I would contact Baylor and find out their contact info tomorrow.

THIS COMPANY IS ASSOCIATED WITH BAYLOR MEDICAL CENTER. CALL THE HOSPITAL AND THEY WILL CERTAINLY VERIFY THAT WITH YOU.

AMCOL in Columbia, SC is the parent company.  Christopher Rickman is the CEO.  They are a collections agency working for doctors and hospitals.  They are calling me using the name Rickman and Rickman, Attorneys.  I have file a complaint with the FTC and sent Rickman a letter demanding they cease calling.  AMCOL has a website.  I too am paying Baylor Hospital of Dallas direct and the account is current but AMCOL/Rickman keeps calling my cell and work number.

Other principals in this operation are Jay Rickman and his father Jay D. Rickman, wife is Mary and they are the owners of the building that houses the scam operation.

They call me as well I just do not answer. The hospital will not send one bill it is a different bill for each thing you  have done . I get 4 bills at least from them as well two or three from the lab companies they use and they are the same way all of them send  a different bill for each thing done

Received a call from these people and then found this forum. Did not speak to anyone and hung up. Since these are bill collectors I am sure this is about a $35 medical from an illness I had 9 years ago.

I am getting tired of this number calling. I have read several posts saying that this is not a real company. They call me at least 6 times a day and leave almost no messages. When they do leave a message it is an automated message. These calls need to stop

I got a call from this #, but no-one responded when I answered. After reading these comments I will not answer calls from this #. I am also cancer patient and am trying to pay medical bills from last drs. ofc but they are giving me hard time about not paying bill off all at once.

Wife talked to this person and he said she owed money for some procedures at Baylor Dallas yet my wife never received an EOB which he didnt know what that was. I also checked the address associated with the number and it is linked to a carpet cleaning company called ChemDry which has a different number. Think this guy is new to the fraud business and needs to be stopped.
