If you received a loan, payday or otherwise, how does that involve you issuing a check, electronic or otherwise? And your "criminal lawyer's" ( in this case meaning a lawyer who is a criminal, apparently) advice was for you to pay based on a single phone call from "some guy," without communicating with the alleged debt holder himself? No, that's not how it works. That kind of advice can get a lawyer disciplined or even disbarred. As for the police giving you legal advice on what is essentially a consumer loan, it's illegal in all fifty states for persons, police or otherwise, to practice law without a license, so... that didn't happen, did it? My advice would be for you to get a competent criminal attorney for real, because I suspect you'll need one in the near future.

Caller identified himself as "John Warren." Said he was calling for third time (no previous calls on record) about "formal allegations to be filed with the State of Texas." He did not identify his company or the purpose of the call. Asked for a family member to call him back, and wished this person "good luck."

>>> police officers are there to enforce the laws, not dispense legal advice. If you keep up your fraudulent ways of trying to scam people, you going to get some advice from them --- advice related to Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966) <<<
Amen!

This is complete fiction! How dare you come here and plant false information to try and scare people so the organization you are shilling for can con them out of money.
First, you want us to believe you were unaware of taking a loan?
Second, checks for payday loans (even posted dated ones) are civil, not criminal matters. In other words, you can't be charged under hot check laws.
Third, police officers are there to enforce the laws, not dispense legal advice. If you keep up your fraudulent ways of trying to scam people, you going to get some advice from them --- advice related to Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966)
Now, I advise you to crawl back under your rock in the boiler room

Or what P.O. Box, UPS Store are you using?
| Gunnar 2013-12-20 22:37:59 Unknown |
Not even a good try...SHILL! This issue has been gone over on this site so many times it's growing mold. A pay-day loan is a civil matter. NOT criminal. Check or no check. The ONLY way a criminal charge could be brought is if there was INTENT to defraud at the time the loan was made. That's IT! End of story.
Now waddle back to your chair. You're boring us.

What is the name and street address of this outfit? Do they have a website?

This number called me about a payday loan from a few years ago. I spoke with my criminal attorney and explained the situation as well as my local police station, both advised me to,PAY because it will hold up in a court of law because it is illegal to have a bad check out over a certain amount of money even though it was a pay day loan which I was unaware of bc I did it over the internet to begin with. Leaving no physical check behind. I paid the total off they stated I owe and got some paperwork emailed about everything then took that to my lawyer and police station and they told me it was all legit and since I had taken care of it can not be charged with anything now. I trust my lawyer and cops so am thankful I had the chance to save myself from hell.

Said I was an "emergency contact" for someone I've never even heard of. Told me that the state of South Carolina had given them the number and that this woman had allegations against her. Never called them back.

Had a voicemail from this number warning me of allegations against me from the state of Florida, and demanding that I call back to review my affadavit. Ridiculously generic warning language. Am assuming it's some hoax collector crap.
