File a complaint to ic3.gov
This may look like a phone call but I bet it's a computer based hacker trying to terrorize us.

We received a call from this number at 1:38am on 12/24/13, said it was a wrong number, unfortunately we got "crammed" for $1.99 for one minute, but I can't make an issue of this since the person calling doesn't remember if he called them back or not.  Since this number has been a repeated issue on this thread, and this happened around when people get scammed -- on around Christmas, and people have been charged for a lot more than $1.99 on this thread, just tell everyone you know (send mass email warnings if needed) to block 473-520-9708 on your phone so you don't end up with a charge on your bill.  And do not call this number back what ever you do.  Cell phone companies will charge you for dialing long distance international numbers and 473 area code is St. George in Grenada.  

If you receive a call and don't recognize the area code, Google the area code before calling/txting them back because you will be charged for international long distance once you do place the call as not all area codes are from within the USA.  

Just wanted to alert 800notes.com that this is a real issues and for them to make a post to alert the community about blocking numbers like this, list all numbers that need to be blocked, and to also explain to people how to block numbers on their mobile phones.  

Come to think of it, it actually would be nice to have an app do this (and for free), where we could just download an updated list of numbers that would automatically go into call blocking on smart phones, so we never have to deal with telemarketers or scammers again.  This is possible folks, we just need someone to create such an app.  Or perhaps an app such as this has already been created?  If 800notes knows of such a free app, please let us know.

Also, 3) ask Verizon to block these numbers on all your phones.

Ditto Heather. This is a scam from St. Georges, Grenada. Check your phone bill. As soon as you answer the call, you are billed for a 1 minute international call. After you check your bill, call Verizon to 1) get the charges reversed and 2) ask them to request a fraud investigation from the FCC.

This number appeared on my verizon bill with an $11.83 charge. I dont even remember receiving this call.  Don't answer! I am reporting the scam to Verizon now.

It is 2:23 AM and I just received a phone call from this number as well. Not pleased.

I just received a phone call from (473) 520-9708 at 11:45 pm. It rang once and hung up. I tried to call it back and a recording come on saying I needed more money added to my account to process the phone call and I'm with sprint. Definitely not call back. This is obviously a scam!

my calls started on Dec 26, 2013 first number that called me,  473 520 9760 10:08am grenada pops up ,  one ring  that s it,  Dec 18 4:41pm 473-520-9790 one ring, Dec 18, 10:58pm 473-520-9758 one ring,   Dec 18 11:27pm 473-520-9758 , Dec 19th, 7:51am 473-520-9758 m Dec 19th 9:42pm  473-520-9713, Dec 20, 12:56pm 767-275-9073 dominica, one ring,  Dec 21, 5:24am 473-520-9708,

I have started receiving calls that only ring once and then hang up.  I am concerned.  How can I stop this annoyance?

I keep getting calls from this same number 1-473-520-9708 just calls and hangs up.

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AT 1:39AM... Called it back at it says it cannot be called from this area. No idea who it is. But I'm not gonna answer it.

I've received calls two nights in a row now! Both around midnight! Very frustrating! I was reading on other sites like this of people complaining how they would answer the phone and they were charged $1.69 rate each time they answered? I would advise not to answer it and hopefully they'll just go away!

Got 2 calls today from this number. Both times it rang once and hung up. I'm on the do not call list.

Got a call at 10:40 PM. Rang twice then hung up.

This number has called numerous times and it only rings 2 to 3 times, I too get the restricted message from my trac phone..No idea who or where this is from..I wish they would stop calling..how do i get them off my line?

Received two calls at 1am and 130am with no voice mail left. My phone is a cell. Looked up the number on google and it brought me here. Just wanted to update everyone.

I got a call from this number at 2:00 am on dec 17. Didn't leave a message. I'm not happy about getting woken up.

called my verizon cell at 7:22pm. Id said St. Georges, GD. Weird because only like 4 people have this cell number and it is never used for anything else other than emergencies.

Got a call from this number at 9:30 pm, yesterday. Same experience as all other posts. I'm located in Southern California...

Just received a call from this number at 3:30AM too. This is pretty crazy

"We're sorry you call can't be completed as dialed"

How can that be?!  They call me but I can't call them back?  You'd think someone could stop this considering there's an entire thread about this number calling and harassing people at all hours of the night.  

Got a call just now at 12:58 am. It only rang once but was enough to wake me up. I see the area code is grenada which got me curious because Ive been there. No message.

473-520-9708 has now called my phone 2 times.   one in eve and the other at midnight.  no message either time, and i didnt call back.  mostly just obnoxious.
