They do, and others have posted they have removed the bogus  charges. Tell Verizon your going to send copy's of your complaints to the FTC & FCC as well.  Your right, its principle.  All the phone company's have to be aware of this scam by now!

Same thing here, except our charges were only $1.69 for 2 minutes. Verizon said it was a call from my husband's cell phone. He didn't make the call. Verizon wouldn't take off the charge. I'm doing as someone else suggested and writing a letter to Verizon disputing this and letting them know I submitted a complaint to the FTC on it. I'm glad at least that the charge is pretty minor, but it's the principle of the thing. Verizon has to know from all these same complaints that this is a scam--they should do the right thing and not charge innocent people for it.

This is an international phone number, I missed the call and when I called back I don't recall being on the line for 3 minutes but that's what my VZW bill says and they charged me $5 and some change. Thankfully I've been with them over 10 years and the lady on the phone was nice enough to credit my account for a call I didn't know that I was making Internationally.

Do not call this number back, do not return a call from any 473 area code number unless you know for certain who called you (family, friend, co-worker).  This call is from Granada, a country that does not have to observe the rules and regulations of the United States and Canada.

The scammers who called you want you to call them back.  When you do they get to charge you a surcharge for making an international call.  From the various threads I have sampled so far they seem to have been working a bank of numbers in the 473-520-97## range since November.

I don't know how this can happen.  I thought that one could only be charged for outgoing calls.

Got my Verizon bill this month and according to Verizon, I made an outbound call to this #473-520-9752 for 30 min at 10:30PM  The number originates in St. George, Grenada and it is not a call I ever made.  I know most of you have been reporting calls TO you.  Has anyone experienced a false charge like this???  Verizon fraud dept. wont help as they insist I made the call.

I just got a call from this number at 2:35pm. It rang about three times and they hung up. How on earth do they have our numbers? This is creepy..

Sad thing is the gov has no authority over numbers out of the country, that nimber is out of the country.

I am a verizon customer and I keep getting calls too. It rings once and then they hang up. My husband too! They call us at all hours of the day/night! If you listen to the recording towards the end you can hear a man speaking a foreign language!

AT&T customer here. This number and ones similar to this have been calling me since yesterday. Called me twice in the middle of the night. I called AT&T and they said I could change my #, other than that there was nothing they could do for me...  Not impressed.

Are we all AT&T customers?

I received a call just after midnight from 473-456-1946.  The phone rang 3 times then stopped.  30 minutes later I got a call from 473-520-9752, same hang up after 2 rings.    Apparently coming from Grenada  

I recieved 2 calls from this number on December 14th. I did not answer.  It just states it is from Grenada

Received a call from this number at 10pm(PST); no message.

Just called my cell. I did not answer. They left no message! Smdh...

Got a call on my cell at 3:30 am. No voice mail, didn't answer. Says Grenada.

Got a call. Same as above, no message. When I called back, I was told to call 1-800-645-0005. Didn't recognize the number. Called and it redirected me to AT&T.

Call time was 535 CST

Just got a call from this number.  Did not even finish one ring and hung up.  No message.  Added to blacklist on my phone so it will ignore the number in the future.

Also getting them 9:50pm est and 4am est.
Ending in 473-520-9713 and 473-520-9759. I don't answer.. 3rd night in a row

1:30AM!! no CID. Did not Answer

My boyfriend keeps getting calls from this number and every time he answers they hang up. When he calls from my phone nobody answers.

I got a call at 3:36 AM.
