Do not call this number back, do not return a call from any 473 area code number unless you know for certain who called you (family, friend, co-worker).  This call is from Granada, a country that does not have to observe the rules and regulations of the United States and Canada.

The scammers who called you want you to call them back.  When you do they get to charge you a surcharge for making an international call.  From the various threads I have sampled so far they seem to have been working a bank of numbers in the 473-520-97## range since November.

Cato, come over here!  I've discovered a cloo here on the phuen as to why so many calls were missed!  Hmmm... it seems they were NEVER ANSWERED!

From grenda 473-520-9781.  Called both of our cell phones. Missed calls we never answered.

They called my phone, rang twice, I answered, they hung up.  Looked close to an area code I was used to calling.  I called back and was put on hold.   i was charged 23.66 for the call back and they somehow kept me on the line for 14 minutes.  Scams you bon the callback hold time is my guess.

Same a**les called me at 9:00AM on a Sunday morning, thank God their hang up call did not disturb my day to sleep in!! Thank God for call block, that is my next stop. Love this site!!!

Just received a call from this number as well. It goes to some recorded operator asking to wait. I hung up before anyone answered. I think it's a scam.

These numbers with hang up calls middle of night:  473-520- 9710, 9755, 9790, 9795, AND 456-1759, 767-275-9074 (Dominica).  I called them all back and got, "Thank you for calling our services. Please wait for an operator" then annoying music, and I'm not waiting for an operator.  I tried to report to FCC, but guess what?  Their wide site is down, and they can't help right now.

Getting calls the last couple of days on cell phone that ring once or twice and then hang up.  I was suspicious enough to look up the area code and see it was from Granada.  Feel that they want us to return call to charge us a fortune.  Wish the US could do something about this scam.

They keep calling and calling and calling. I have blocked at the very least, 4 of these one ring Grenada call numbers. Contacted Sprint and they said that they have no knowledge of this happening to customers. Ahhhhhhh!!!

getting 1 ring calls all hours of the day and night from 473-520- 9755,9796, 9715,9710,9760,9759,also 473-456-1759 all different numbers. How can I make them stop? Like others have said when I call back it just says to wait for the next available operator. and music plays in the background. 1 time it asked for my 6 number pin??? I want it to stop.

Received a missed call from this number at 3 am. In the morning Googled it and found out that it is from Grenada. Did not call back. Today I received my bill and have a charge of $38 for making a call to thin number lasting 23 minutes on 12/10. And I can't even place international calls on my plan.
Check your bills and report it to your carrier.

It seems these calls started about the same time for me.  Dec. 10  any time of day and never the same number.  Now my husband is getting them as well.  Same area code but as me, never the same number.  Mine usually is one ring and hang up.  Scary.

we have received 5 calls from Grenada in the last two days.  All calls were in the middle of the night and with each one the last two digits of the telephone number were different.  Can't block because each time the number is different.  Verizon could not help.  If someone finds a solution to stop these type of calls, please advise.

I have the international call block on my phone so when I tried to return the call it told me I would have to remove it. This lets me know immediately that this is an overseas call. But then I have a friend who is with the Attorney General's office and he found out that this phone number has been reported 2,431 times for scamming.It is a foreign lottery and if you call their number back they capture your number and sell it to other companies.

What are they calling for? What happens if you are able to get to the phone in time and answer it? This number calls at the most inappropriate times!
