Do not call this number back, do not return a call from any 473 area code number unless you know for certain who called you (family, friend, co-worker).  This call is from Granada, a country that does not have to observe the rules and regulations of the United States and Canada.

The scammers who called you want you to call them back.  When you do they get to charge you a surcharge for making an international call.  From the various threads I have sampled so far they seem to have been working a bank of numbers in the 473-520-97## range since November.

Up date your phone with the numbers you expect people to call you.
Then DO NOT ANSWER any calls that do not show listed in your phone.
DO NOT Call back.
If it is important, they will leave you a message to call back.
Computers do not leave messages.
But there are some buggy numbers out there that charge you for the minutes, reason you hear nothing.

I have received 6-7 phone calls from at least four different numbers, all in Grenada, in the last 5 days.  They all begin with 473 area code, and most have a 520 prefix.  Many of the calls have been late at night, around 11:00.  I have blocked the individual numbers, but if they're using a bunch of different numbers I don't see how I can stop the calls.  I have also complained to the Do Not Call Registry.  My carrier (Sprint) is not able to block calls from an entire area code, although I have no legitimate reason to ever make or receive calls to Grenada or Martinique.  VERY annoying!!!

have been getting these calls for the last two days. when I call I get busy signal then it hangs up! some people have said they are able to get Put on a do not call list.  how is this possible when nobody is there to answer your call? If possible could someone please let me know how I could get on the do not call list? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Never heard the phone ring, noticed this missed call Sunday am.  Thought this might have been an old friend. Guess not!

Yeah, calls me every couple days, but I had yet to answer.  Decided to call back, techno music with the occasional "Please wait for the operator".  I actually waited for a min... i'll probably see some odd $20 charge on my bill.

Everyone has a phone number that's close to the others, right?  That's a robot caller, churning through phone numbers in numerical order.  They want you to call back, for whatever reason - to sell you something, or maybe to sell your phone # (telemarketers will pay for a list of potential suckers!)

Cell phone rang once, shows up as a "missed call".  Robotic dialer, obviously -- maybe, if you call back and wait long enough, someone will try to sell you something?  Clever method of making sure they only deal with gullible customers!

I just received this call with the same number at 12:08AM. I didnt answer as it only rang twice and I had no clue where the area code 473 was at. No messages were left. Strange if you ask me.
