who is this

its from Harris Siding and Window, in Fort Smith, AR. they are pretty notorious in the area as very aggressive telemarketers.

I've been getting several calls from this number on my home phone, and what's creepier is that the number called my cell phone once or twice, too. On my cell phone, I picked up and actually got a person. It was a man with a low voice... the convo went like this:

Hello?
Hello.
Who is this?
Is this your cell phone?
Yes, this is a cell phone number, but who is this?

Then he hung up.
The number has called my home phone more than once after this. I just tried calling back twice, but it won't accept my call. When they call me and I pick up in time, they hang up.

1 call yesterday and 1 call today about same time (evening). both times the caller just hung up without response. tried to call back but number says it's not taking calls at this time.

I just got a call on my personal cell whiole at work. He asked if this was a work number and I told him that it was a work number, he appologized and hung up!!! Tell them that it is abusiness number even if it is a personal number, maybe you won't get called again!!!?

Recieved a call from the number 479-242-6178 I did not answer it, when i tried to call back it said that the caller was not taking calls at this time.... They dont leave messages and call at around 7:40. I guess I will take the advice of PLH, tell them its a business number and hope they stop calling.

Harris Siding and Windows uses an autodialer, and feed it sequential phone numbers beginning with a particular area code and prefix.  For example, 479-420-1111, 479-420-1112, 479-420-1113.

They have not actually obtained your number from anyone.  One thing you can do to avoid their calls is to be put on the national "Do Not Call" list.  They filter out the numbers that are on this list because they could be charged a large fine for breaking the rule.
