I also receive a phone call today 03/15/10

I receive this call on my work phone. I didn't pick up.

Message I received a call from an unknown caller, press #1.  I did.  It hung up...

I missed this call on 03/16. But I was waiting for a important phone call about my interview. Thought it was the call from the company I called back but the number was disconnected. Then i looked at the phone area code and realized that its a scam.

Crap!  I just got a call, too!!!  Goshdarn it, I was hoping it was a potential employer.  I have Trumpet Mobile, anyone else?  (For some reason, when I signed up, I was put in the system in Spanish, and occasionally, my phone commands flip over to Spanish, when I'm trying to call and reload.)  I wonder if those suckers sold this number.

This just happened like almost 10 mins ago.

I just received a call from this number and I figured it was a SCAM so I immediately hung up.  The Spanish recording said "Your phone number won a $1000 dollars, please press 1 to claim your prize."  STUPID CALLERS... GET A LIFE!!!!!

One ring, hung up.  Originated from Hector, AR.

Got a call on my cell phone, didn't answer it, they didn't leave a message.

This number just called me 20 minutes ago on my t-mobile cell phone. I am also on the DNC list. I didnt recognize the number so I didnt answer. Glad that I didnt.

It would appear that you're supposed to press 1 (for English) and get automatically connected to an expensive 1 900 number. Similar to the "Extended Warranty" scam. I got this call on a relatively unpublished company phone which was someone elses around 3 yrs ago, so it's on an old list maybe. It came today, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Recorded message with woman speaking Spanish language. She has called me at least seven times before

I recieved a call from this number,called back, got recording.sound like spanish or german.

Same - 3/16/2010 - 7:52pm: Couldn't even hear what she was saying. By the time I was searching Google for the number the call was over.

This number called my cellphone and, as I did not recognize the number, I did not answer. I tried calling it back and it said that it was disconnected.

Got a call from this number, did not answer I called it from work and it was disconnected, not even two senconds after i press the ignore button. scam?

my business cell just got a call from 479.284.8989 - no voice message

Getting early morning calls from 479-284-8989. They never leave a message. I never pick up. But it's annoying as ever.

Just received call at 5:40pm.  Was a woman talking in spanish.  Called number back and got message that is was a disconnected number.

Received this call today at 10:18 am.  They hung up on my voice mail.

This is my theory:  
From reading previous comments,
it appears that caller was screening for Spanish speaking people
to victimize.

I'm guessing that
If your voice/or name answering the phone sounded like it may be Spanish speaking
they play you the message,
If not, they hang up.

Same - Quick spanish, likely the same message, but picked up none with my meager spanish. Just confirming its still active.

I just got a call from this number and I tried to call back and got a disconnect answer

i recieved a call from this # too at 8:08 pm didnt asnwer but called backed and the message stated the # was disconnected. I am on the National Do Not Call List

Received a call on my cell phone at 07:33 PM CST from this number. When I answered I heard a recording in Spanish. Since I do not understand Spanish, I hung up. My son received the same call a few days ago, also on his cell phone.
