We keep receiving calls from this number, but We don't know who it is or why they are calling us.

I have had this phone number less than a week and it has called me about 5 times today, either when I'm not home, or when I am on the phone with someone else. I haven't answered it yet, and by the looks of these other posts, it seems I don't want to. I have Windstream, and they obviously sold me out, too. I turned my ringer off. My home phone is really only for me to make outgoing calls. Too bad about all this.

I just got my phone 2 days ago from Windstream.  This Protection Now has called me 4 times already. I answered once and told them I was not interested.  

Now i remember why I had a Magic Jack phone for 2 years!

Don't bother changing to ATT. I just got ATT and they did exactly the same thing. ADT over and over and other telemarkers. They wanted $5.00 a month for an unlisted number.

Just got a new phone number myself from Verizon! I have had 4 telemarketers call me since I walked in the door from work. Crazy how fast they get the numbers. I signed up for the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Not even a week with a new phone number and they called! They knew my last name and everything. CRAZY. I answered the phone and you could hear people laughing in the background. I told the person on the other end I wasn't interested and he said "Oh you aren't? Okay!" and hung up. I then logged on to my computer and registered my new phone number for the DO NOT CALL LIST! I hope it works.

We got our new u- verse #   less then 24 hours ago from AT&T and we paid not to have it listed.. I have gotten over 15 calls today. This number twice. ADT has called from several other numbers and I  have also gotten the charter cable one too. I am so pissed. I have a sleeping baby and the dam phone has been ringing all day. I registered for the donotcall list and will write down day and times and report them. If it gets worse I will just cancel my phone service and just keep the Internet. I was just going to change my number but I don't think that is really going to help especially after reading all these comments. :-(

don't waste your time thinking ATT Uverse is better.  My phone has been installed for 4 days and several calls from this number.  We are with Uverse.  This is not the only number I am getting calls from either.  So how did they get my number - ATT??????????

I had just got my new house number a week ago. And yesterday I got several calls I'm guessing for me but one of them my nephew answered and said that it was for me but since I wasn't him he told them I wasn't home. They called this morning and asked if I was the home owner I said no and they said my name. I haven't gaven out my new number to anyone besides my parents and sisters. I just recently got the new number through bright house networks.

I love to go swimming. I enjoy the workout, but when the phone rings that means I have to get out of the pool, dry off and then answer the phone. That is very annoying. Please stop. Now I will try to climb mountains.

you need to register with donotcall.gov to stop them from calling you.

What a dipwad! you clearly work for adt or pn. I spend 15 years working for adt. none of that ever happend. you were lucky if adt even dispatched within a reasonable period of time. it took them two weeks to call back on a low backup battery. when asked why it took so long the said they were busy.

I as well recieved a call when I moved in my new and and it was a blessing that ADT sold me that alarm my home was broken into the day and they caught the drug addicts who violated my home thank you ADT and Pro Now what a great deal I have I truly feel that I have peace of mind today. JS

Come on guys, I've had ADT in both of my homes for a year now and in my business. I've had a few false alarms at the office (employee's forgot the code), and ADT called me right away. The one time ADT couldn't get in touch with me because I was on vacation, I had forgot to give an employee the password for ADT and the police! The police held my employee here until they got in touch with my General Manager who assured them those were our employees and gave the password. If these events had been an actual break in, with ADT's quick response in getting the police involved, they would have caught the "perp" with no problem! I love ADT and I am grateful to Protection Now/Safestreets for calling me and setting me up! If you are reading this Protection Now/Safestreets....THANK YOU! I feel much more secure knowing that my family and my business are protected!

yeah, ADT really sucks and blows.

Just got this new telephone number today and already, this call today came up on the caller ID as "Protection Now". Obviously a residential alarm salesperson or scam. When I answered, there was only silence.

It's clear that Brighthouse Networks sells their customer's new numbers to a telemarketing distribution list.

Very unscrupulous business practice in my opinion.

got this call just recently. it stated safe streets sounds like a alarm company

We have received 5 calls in the last 1.5 days.  We just got connected with AT&T UVERSE!  I believe we got sold out as well.  Protection Now calls I answer and they won't even speak to me.  I even picked up on the first ring.  Unbelievable!!!!!

Don't bother when we switched over to Uverse we started getting just as many calls as well!!!!!

We saw your post and the exact thing happened to us.  They knew our name and address.  This line was made active just last night and our phone service is with CHARTER CABLE. We gave them our business and they litteraly sold us out.They have invaded our privacy and right to peace in OUR NEW HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  DISGUSTING LOW LIFE CORPORATE GREED !!!!!!  They betrayed our trust and respect as a paying customer. WE WILL be switching to ATT&T U verse,...Will be worth the extraa money...

?....Dear ADT Home Security, you have called a total of 12 times in 7 days.....each time I have politely said " no thank you and thanks for calling"........there must be a lapse in communication because you seem to think that means "lets call again".....SO.....when i see the number come up again.....you will be greeted with several options....a child speaking spanish, a coaches whistle, heavy breathing or a song from Glee........hope you enjoy each of them because we are getting our playlist ready now!!! This was the first call I received on my new phone number (only minutes since connected)!  How did they get it so fast?  The callers (ADT) had my name and address !  I would suspect Comcast of providing the info since I refuse to pay $3.00 a month to have my phone unlisted through them !! Thank you Comcast for selling my phone number.  My phone has rung off the hook since it was installed.  I haven't given any of my friends and relatives the number yet.  I haven't had a chance with all of the unwanted incoming phone calls !!!!!!

ADT Security Services peddling a security system.

They ((Attend College) are relentless. Somehow my number (which is new) got on a list of college loan telemarketers and I  get 10 calls a day. Thank God for call block.
