they cliaimed to be raising money in name of police organization for kids. As soon as I said I did not make contributions to phone callers they hung up before I could finish the sentence.

Saw the number and instantly googled it to this site.  Didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message.

Yeah just got a call from them and where asking some sort of question when i said i spoke little English they hung up on me. they called about 4 times already, its starting to get annoying.

Got a call from this number - no one there when I answered.  So, I put the receiver on the table to let the long distance charges pile up for them.

Got a call from a man asking for me specifically. Said that I wasn't here and if I could take a message, he said no, and hung up.

Received a call from this number tonight. No sound on the other end. I said "hello?" twice. The call simply disconnected.

Called and hung up.   This is a repeat caller.  If they ask for money give them the verbal finger.

Some IDIOT called me from this number 480-273-8836,while crunching away with a mouth full of food asked me if I would donate to the "Phoenix Firefighters association"When I said I can't right now while he was still crunching away on whatever he was eating he hung up very hard.I will never again donate to anyone over the phone again!!!!

I just called the 1-888-572-1906 number and I some guy "Rob" answered the phone. I told him they just called me, it was him because I recognized his voice. He said they were some police fund agency. I told him that my husband didnt leave here at this number and that they needed to stop calling. He apologized and said that it wouldnt happened again. He wanted to hang up, I told him that he didnt even no my number, so they could stop calling. He asked me for my number and told me if we get another phone call to please disregard. I thanked him...I really hope they dont call again. I will go off on them if they call back!!!!!It's a scam, I know it. Just cause the 480 phn# is out of service and they always hang up once you tell them anything that they dont want to here!!!! My phone company (cox comm) will only block any # for $21.99 a MONTH!!!! So, I guess I wont do that but go off on them as soon as they call me, cause I know they will...

As to being on a no-call list, I just moved here and got this number... maybe an auto-dialer?

I received a call from this number tonight and do the same as "M" (let it go to my answering machine if I don't recognize the number). No message was left, so to me that means it's not important.  It's a waste of time to call it back, so why bother?  They can speak to my answering machine operator whenever they want because the phone ringing doesn't bother me at all. Good luck All!

I never answer the phone to numbers I don't recognize, so my machine picks it up and never leaves a message.

Just got a call saying it was Glenn from the Arizona Police then the guy hung up. Arizona Police I'm pretty sure doesn't exist.

Person keeps calling and hangs up.  VERY annoying.  Calls late at night, throughout the day and even early in the morning.

Caller soliciting a $20.00, tax deductible, contribution for police (?) children's athletic club. He had our names and asked for our address. I hung up.

Same situation for me.  I keep getting called by this number but it hangs up whether or not I answer.  I *69 to get it, but when I call it says, "Mailbox is full".  Aggravating.

I continue to get hang up calls from this number as well.  You can't call back - you'll get a message that says "this mailbox is full".  I researched further - and found that this is a spoof number - which means the caller has "tricked" your caller ID to read this number that is invalid,  usually a trick used by telemarketers, so that you can't complain when you're on a do not call list.

Same here, I get calls from this number all the time and can't block them.

Keep getting calls from this number but nobody on the other end. Irritating and aggravating.How can you block this number?

Got a call from the number and a man is breathing heavily.  Has called numerous times before but not left messages.

I answered and no one spoke. I could hear alot of people in background talking (sales). He finally said something (couldn't understand) and hung up. I had gotten a call just before from someone saying the were with the police fund, I told them I wasn't interested and hung up. I know it is a scam.

The caller ID showed unavailable, so I let it go to message.
During the outgoing message, I can hear the caller speak...
He said my wifes first name....so I let it continue...left no message. Now I think it may be important, so Now that I have the

Recording says "number is invalid".  NOW, I find that strange

Call came in at about 8:30 pm. I refused to answer the call. Googled the number and found this page. I called the number back and the # is "no longer in service"

i just reported information about these number to the National Do Not Call List federal website.  I do not know if this is going to help but I want kick these peoples butts.
