who is this?

I received a call this morning December 24, 2007 at 9:34 am.  The man identified himself as collecting for the Special Olympics.  When I informed him that I did not make donations over the phone, he then informed me that he could mail me the information.  I told him that would be fine.  His answer to that was, "Ok, goodbye."  If he were lagit, what didn’t he take my mailing info?  Also why is he able to call me when I am on the national Do Not Call list?

I have been getting calls from them for the last 2 weeks.  They call consistently after 8 p.m.  They do not have to follow the laws of the do not call list as they are a service that works for charities.  Non-profit solicitations do not fall under the mandate of the do-no-call registry.

I called Qwest to complain.  The representative told me to press *57 after each time they call.  She advised that after I had done this three times, I can then call Qwest's Annoyance Call Bureau at 1-800-582-0655.  Qwest will verify the traces (*57) have been done.  They will then send a formal letter of complaint to the solicitor instructing them to stop.

Qwest said there is a service you can purchase to make sure certain phone numbers are rejected, but after having Googled Medallion I found out they will call from different phone numbers within the same state.  So this service seemed to be a waste of money (the Qwest rep agreed).

Same as everyone else. A call after 8PM and when I answered I asked if I could call them back to see if they were legitimate....THEY HUNG UP ON ME!!! This must be a scam to pocket money under false pretenses.

Just to let you know *57 with Qwest will cost you $1.25 ~ the rest is true, the recording said the call was traced and after 3 calls you can call the annoyance line....

I've been getting calls from this number, but not at night. I have never actually picked up, so I wasn't sure who it was. Now I'm glad I didn't

They called me and asked if they were calling "BLANK" which was my company that has been out of business for 5 years.

They said they were calling about the Olympics and I asked if they were suppose to do solicitation and she said yes.  I said I wasn't interested and hung up!
I'm so tired of these kind of calls....Why can't they be stopped????

Rec'd call at 8:10 PM Sunday. Caller ID shows St. Labre School. Did a quick Google...it is a an Indian Reservation School in Montana. I have never heard of them, never contributed anything. I answered the call at the same time the answering machine picked up. All I heard was the hang-up. We shall see.....

We continue to get calls each night from this number and the caller ID shows St. Labre School.  I never answer but I wish they would stop.

i have received 2 to 3 calls a day, at different times from this number over the past few weeks.  It is such a pain. I have never answered but I think I will next time and just give them a hard time!!

called at 8:58 pm, caller Id said it was 'News'. did not answer, and they did not leave a message.

I just got a call from this number where a man asked for the owner of the business, however, the man he asked for hasn't been here for 15 years and died last April.  I informed him of this fact and then he said that he was the son of the deceased.  I told him that the deceased man didn't have any son's, and he then told me that he was given up for adoption when he was a baby.  I asked him if he was serious, and he said, "I'm sorry, I can't talk right now," and then hung up. I doubt this was real, and after googling this phone number, I seriously doubt it and am really angry!  I just want you all to know to not deal with anyone with this phone number because they are not good people.

used *69 cause the caller hung up on my answering machine. Reverse look up says it's a Sprint number in Phoenix, AZ.  It was around 8:20 PM  I'm in NM. Screening my calls cause I "called in sick" to work today. ;)  Guess I just wasted $$ on Last caller id....
