I testified against that a-hole, Ron Dew, yesterday, 9/8/11, as one of the state's witnesses.  He actually looks like a jerk.  I was in the afternoon group of people.  The morning witnesses were called into the court room one by one.  Luckly, the afternoon group all sat in the jury booth together.  We were questioned individually by the judge, prosecutor, and defense attorney, but it went pretty quick and our portion was all over in a little more than an hour.  It's my understanding there will be more witnesses today, Friday, and then the judge will give his ruling in the case.  I had previously asked the prosecutor what would happen if the a-hole continues to call people after an injunction is issued (assuming that happens).  Unfortunately, she said it would require court and witness accounts again, but at that time he would be facing jail time.  The prosecutor said she thinks he'll stop because the judge will advise him of this fact.  I'll believe it when I see it.  After receiving hundreds of calls from Abode over the years, anything he decides to do wouldn't surpise me.  I doubt it would happen, but I wish he would get fined what he deserves.  The judge will probably fine him a few thousand at the most.  The FCC's do not call registry website says a fine can be up to $16,000 per person the company illegally contacts.  He deserves at least a $1 million fine.  Put this scammer out of business!

This company is obviously run by a professional scammer -- an obnoxious, convicted multiple-felon -- and has no concern for business ethics or any threats you may make for legal action against them.  As much as those who have been ripped off by them and those who have been constantly harassed by them crave revenge, remember, they play by a different set of rules.  Best to just block calls from their numbers, hang up on them, avoid them, and not enter conflict with them despite the provocation.  This is not merely an unscrupulous businessman, this is a legitimately dangerous person.

Fortunately, the abundance of complaints has drawn the attention of the Attorney General, and Ron is currently buried in litigation.  He'll get his.

Got a letter today from the Office of Arizona Attorney General. I have filed a number of BBB complaints about this business. The normally worthless BBB has finally provided some worth, since the Attorney General contacted me by seeing my complaint with the BBB. The state of AZ is filing a lawsuit against Abode Air that will prohibit them from EVER soliciting consumers by phone AGAIN. Wanna help stick it to them? The state wants as many witnesses as they can get. Anyone who has been called by them after asking them to stop calling, and anyone on the Do Not Call list that has been called by them. If you are on the DNC list and have been called, print out a copy of your Do Not Call registration verification (go to www.donotcall.gov and click on "Verify a Registration") and bring it with you to testify at the hearing.

"If you are interested in appearing as a witness for the state, in it's lawsuit against Abode Air, please contact Diane Davenport at the Attorney General's office at 602-542-7763" The hearing is scheduled for Sep 8th at 9:30 before Judge Burke of the Maricopa County Superior Court.

So... EXCELLENT NEWS! I am so going to be there as a hostile witness. Paybacks for all those friggin calls.

do not call needs to be refreshed occasionally - it expires

as a phone sales person in a different industry, its a common misconception that DNC ended these calls.

They have continued to call over and over and over, sometimes as much as 5 to 6 times a day. I live in an apratment complex and when I tell them to stop they hang up on me. It is harrassment of the worst kind.

And these hosebag bottom feeders are finally being sued according to an article in today's AZ Republic - its about time!!

I highly recommend Phonetray.com - since I installed it I have gotten *zero* telemarking calls!

Call went directly to my fax/printer.  Expenting calls but none from this number.  I dearly hope that we might be able to STOP calls from this number - 480-379-1002.

This number harassed me for months.

Here is the solution that got them to stop calling me.

I saved their number as ADOBE AC AND HEATING

The next time they called, I answered and said ...

"Thannnkkkyou for calling Adobe AC and Heating, How can I help you today?"

Then went into a huge rant about "what a low life he is for working there and making peoples lives miserable every single day"

It worked.

They have been calling me for 6 years despite my very polite pleas to stop! Today I lost it and found the number to the owners cell phone 480-510-4032 and he was sooooooo rude and mean to me! This is now war and I'm posting his number all over every site I can find!! He drove me to it!

They call me not say anything and hang up . I call back they pick up and they hang up?????

I've reported all of Abode Air's phone numbers to the FTC and they still keep calling. I get the reports from the FTC with complaint numbers but someone isn't doing their job in our wonderful government!!!!!  And, I don't think anyone is home at the Do Not Call . Gov website either!  Very frustrating to say the least!

Stop calling my pay-as-you-go cell phone!

We need to all organize a march and invite the press. And storm his building and all of use leave an old phone at their door. Maybe if a few 1000 people show up and leave a old phone they might get the hint. I too have been called over and over.  And told them to stop.  Can't some one do something ?

The name is Abode Air and they call my office at least three times a week.  Even though I request to be removed from their "do not call" list, they continue.  It's a sales call.

Ronald Colen Dew was convicted and sentenced to imprisonment in Arizona Superior Court on August 13, 1996.

The telemarketer from ABODE (not Adobe) Air told me our AC system has to be checked out every 6 months according to Arizona law. I asked her what law that is and she said, well, it's a requirement of SRP and APS. I told her APS has never mentioned the law to me. Then she said if your system is under warranty, you have to have it checked every 6 months or the warranty is void.

I'm surprised no one at Five on your Side or Call 12 for Action has taken on these bottom feeders. How many complaints does the Attorney General need in order to get off his duff and protect the citizens from scum like this.

It would be nice if the owner's time in prison here in Arizona was a legal deterrent to him having an LLC and a contractor's license.

Maybe APS and SRP would like to know they're being quoted as "sources" of the "law" that we have to have units checked every 6 months. How many new residents are unknowingly buying into that krapp?
