I just missed a call from them (2:30PM, 7/26/2013), and it being The Buffalo News would make sense, as I do have a subscription.  But, I don't know what they'd want... maybe for me to upgrade to more than just the Sunday delivery.  Either way, it's not the first call I've gotten from them and missed.  Maybe if they called me outside working hours, I'd be able to pick up...

It's a good thing these jokers aren't local, or there would have been a massacree! I got the first call from them a year ago after cancelling the Buffalo News, trying to collect for the papers the News would not stop delivering! When I asked the caller why I should pay for a cancelled service he responded that my wife had extended the subscription - when asked when this happened, the date he gave me floored me; it was the day my beautiful baby passed away! I almost stroked out! He hung up when I asked him if he really thought that my wife snuck out of ICU to a phone & made the call. The number is filed under "do***ebag" in my contacts & they call every 4-5 days, no message & I won't EVER answer... unless I can "reach out & touch" the caller...

I gotten a call from this # 2 days not but i still have the paper coming to my house I have not answerd and i am on the DO NOT CALL LIST I sick of my # being sold whats the point of the DO NOT CALL LIST !!!!

The number that called was 480-553-9009.  They have called twice in the last hour and left a message both times.  When I listened it was halfway through a recorded message.  Unable to tell who they what they were selling.

II received a call from this 480 553-9009.  The person claimed he was a contractor of Microsoft and claimed that a program had been loaded onto my computer that would destroy my hard drive and that he was instructed by Microsoft to help me remove this program.  He instructed me to go to my computer and select the Microsoft key along with the r key to bring-up the run command.  He would then instruct me on how to eliminate the threat.  I refused to follow his instructions and hung up.  He appeared to have the voice inflections of a man from India and the phone connection was poor as it had much static.  This call emanated from a different state, Arixona, and has interstate misuse of communications lines.

These people call me almost every day!

This number is calling me 3 times a day for a week straight. I refuse to call them, answer them or discuss with them anything. So I added it to my caller-id as Another F--king Collector, regardless or who or what and they will go away in time. And, add to those above, I also live in the Buffalo NY area. Seems they like us a lot. A-Holes.

I never answer when this number calls me (usually a couple times a day) but I recently canceled my subscription to the Buffalo News so I think the claims here must be legit

This call comes from the albuquerque journal newspaper.  I am sick of the calls.  They call every few days.  I  never gave them my number and it pisses me off every time they call!!

Caller ID: Cust Serv (480) 553-9009 - Caller identified as Dave has called 3 days in a row, always at 6PM offering to extend a wkend newspaper subscription to a full wk for free for the remainder of the existing subscription to the Kitsap paper (WA).  Had my name and phone number correct, but asked for verification of my address (didn't have my address).  I told him that if he was from the newspaper, he would already have my address.  He responded that he had my account number and then reeled off a 6-8 digit number that sounded plausible. Last PM, I told him I was not interested.  This PM my husband answered the phone and stated we were on the DNC (do not call) list and to not call again.  The caller hung up.

Took the advice of an above commenter and filled out an online FCC complaint form and would encourage others to do likewise.

I live in Buffalo too & recently stopped getting the paper & this f-ing # calls a million times a day but never leaves a message. I pick up & hang up on them & they just keep calling back.

I got a call from them about 2 and a half hours ago. I missed it but I don't know who it is.

This number is selling newspaper home delivery. I live in Northern California, but it seems like they are calling all over the U.S from what I read here.

I get one of two calls from this number a night.  I never answer.

This # calls my cell and it charges me .10 when I DONT answer?

If everyone affected by this number (480) 553-9009 (or any other phone number)calls them back repeatedly thereby overwhelming them I would venture to say the productivity would drop dramatically and they would realize they are no match Mr and Mrs John Q Public. Now go kick some #@%$

This number called me, live representative calling about the Albuquerque Journal, Asked if I was the homeowner, hung up quickly when I said I wasn't. Called the Next day, no answer on the other line that time.

I have gotten 3 calls from this number so far over the past 2 days, no message.

I've been getting calls from this outfit. At first it was a T-Mobile number; now it's a Cricket provider number. If you ask who they are, they have mentioned in the past something about online pharmaceuticals. If I tell them to not call again (Do Not Call Registry), then they hang up, but call back the next day and day after that. I found out that Cricket is owned by this outfit corporation called Leap. I sent them a terse fax telling them to shut down the number or I would make an official complaint with the FCC if I continue to get calls. That fax was sent on April 8. I didn't get a call again until tonight - April 13. I just submitted my complaint with the FCC, online, and I suggest those receiving calls from this number do the same (FCC complaint.) You can make the complaint on line for telemarketing issues. The more complaints the better. These people have foreign accents. At one time the number was based in Florida. Now it is based in Arizona. I state again, make it official with the FCC.

ALL THEY DO IS CALL HERE! I TELL THEM NOT TO CALL ME BACK AND THEY DO ABOUT 2-3 TIMES A DAY! According to them it's the Buffalo news(I live in Buffalo)
