They called and asked for someone in accounts receivable. I told them they had the wrong number. Two weeks later, they called again and I didn't answer. They are blocked now.

BEWARE!!! Complete scam from this phone number. Location that calls originate from is Chandler, AZ. The person calling says they are from Honewell and want to talk to someone in the A/R department. They say that there is an outstanding invoice in need of payment. DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!!! Before you give out ANY information about your company - VERIFY - then - TRUST!!!

We sell to Honeywell. A/R got this call and thought they wanted to get a copy of an invoice.
Several Issues with call:
Could not understand
Would not transfer to a manager w/better language skills
Gave us completely bogus invoice number
Amount of invoice was not in the range of our usual transactions.
Wanted copies of ALL of the invoices we had for Honeywell since we sould not identify the one he wanted
At that point it was time to end the conversation.

Got a call from this number, ignored it. I'm in the UK, lord knows how this company or whatever got hold of a random British mobile number then called it.

Received a call from a woman with a very thick accent. After getting her to speak slower I was able to understand her. This was a legitimate call from one of our suppliers. Honeywell is a very large thermostat company. This collection company is likely their Accounts Receivable division or separate company - owned by Honeywell. www.honeywell.com
My guess is the above complaints are the result of bad dialing or an over-zealous A/R clerk.
It certainly doesn't help that they block their caller ID or employ people with thick accents. Most of us are probably pretty jaded and hopefully cautious because of scammers.
Be on the look out - there are plenty.

Today it was AJ calling from this number, claiming to be from ADI Credit (not listed by Google) "my card number xxx(bogus) has been inactivated" (no kidding). This guy even sounds like a scammer with his thick, almost incoherent accent. A return call to this number just rang and rang. The 800 number he suggested I call to ?dispose of this matter? was only a voice machine. Not the most creative crook by a long shot.

BEWARE! the posts from "Kit" and "MATT" is the actual scammer for these calls trying to get bank info and trick big companies to pay their made up "invoice".
Called me a after 9pm on my company cell phone and no they are not just "bad dialers" as "Kit" claims... like I said "Kit" and "Matt" is the scammer trying to use these "who called me" sites to try to make it seem legit. "Kit" (who also goes by "Lynn" has posted the same message to numerous sites like this one! Who would go to all that trouble but the scammer ?

I actually work for Honeywell and I can say that the number is legitimate. It's from our credit service. After receiving a call from this number that I didn't recognize they left a message. It was a response to an open item they were working on for me. These others must have been misdialed calls. If they call back just tell them they have the wrong number. It will get worked out through other company contact paths. Hope this helps.

480-592-1000 called my cell phone today. I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number.
They left a voicemail saying:
"Hello my name is Akshay with Honeywell calling in regards to invoice#440443 with a withstanding total of $2497.94. We are looking to get payment information. If you could please contact me as soon as possible my phone number is 480-353-4193. My email address is akshay@honeywell.com"
I have never heard of Honeywell, and definately would never have an outstanding bill of that amount. PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR THIS SCAMMER!

2/10/2010 just got this call, good thing for this website. Was curious who this was.

Actually, Honeywell is a legitimate company, they just dialed your number by mistake.
I work at a University and just received a call that I didn't recognize the number, plugged it into Google, got this website and saw the entries, and then realized they were just calling me back to be sure we received their invoice for processing.
They are not scammers, just bad dialers !!

Recived a call from Akshay with Honeywell asking for bank account number. I asked her to email me the information and she said she will fax them to my attention. After few minutes she called again she wanted bank account number to be given to her on the phone. At that minute I thought this is Scammer.
Please to all of you who will get phone calls from number 480-592-1000 please do not provide any information.
Please look out for the Scammer.
