I too received a handwritten note on yellow paper in the mail. The note reads " Dear NAME, Hi, my name is Perry and I am interested in buying your house at ________. Please call me 480-710-1778. Thanks, Perry.
The envelope was addressed just using my first name, the letter inside addressed me by my first and last name.
I called the number and left a message. He called back and I told him I wasn't in the market to sell my house (in Gilbert, AZ). He said he and his wife Susie were Wholesale Buyers and they buy about 2 houses per year. He wanted to schedule a time to come take a look at my house, make an offer and see if we could come to an agreement. I made an appointment about a month out. He said he would send a follow-up email with information (haven't received it yet). I will cancel the appointment a week or so ahead as I never intended on keeping it.
I asked his last name and he gave me Patton. Couldn't easily find him on the web so I'm not sure this is legit or not.

Got the same postal mail saying Perry is interested in buying my home.
| Got the exact same mail 2012-08-20 00:35:18 Unknown |
I also received a handwritten note signed by a person named Perry. They also listed the same number: (480) 710-1778. I live in Chandler, AZ.
I have a job that requires a lot of research and investigation. So when I received this note, I decided to look into it.
The phone number is registered to a woman *NOT named Perry. But to a person who is part of an LLC business with an address that is a residential home. The business is registered in Arizona and is in the real-estate industry.
Just ignore the note. It's someone likely trying to drum up some business. I may turn this note over to the authorities.

Postal mail saying he wants to buy my house

I didn't get a call - I got an anonymous mail - postal mail - from a character calling himself Perry saying he wanted to buy our house and to call this number. How creepy is that?

left a message on my cell to return the call on his cell, acting as if we'd spoken previously. . . "can't wait to talk to you again!" . . . never seen this number, nor heard this voice before!
