This number seems legit. I called customer service to request for a credit limit increase, talked to a service rep and she said I should be receiving something in the mail in a few days. The next morning, I received a call from this number but didn't recognize it at first so I did not answer. However, doing a bit of research, I found info showing both the number and address so I believe they were calling me to follow up on my request. Here's the link:

It made sense for me on why I received a call from them, so the number seems legit. Most likely going to receive another call from them, but I'll make sure to not give any personal information just to be safe.

No one has been given my cell number except my family. How did they get my number? I blocked it after getting a scam call from another state to update my debit card information!

Got a call today from this number. They left a message saying that it was the Chase Fraud department and to call them back on another line. I called the number on the back of my card instead, just to be sure. I got a hold of a representative who did say that their fraud department had called because my account had been compromised. They wound up issuing me a new card to ensure that there wouldn't be fraudulent charges. It seems like the original number is legit but because of the conflicting feedback on this thread, I would just call the number on your Chase card for peace of mind.

Chase just called and wanted to tell me that every once in a while accounts come up for review and they are deciding if to lower my credit cards credit line or not. They asked me questions about the increase in my debt and what I bought and then asked me how I made such a big payment on my credit cards earlier this year and where the money came from. Bottom line they were fishing to know if I could repay my unsecured credit card debt or if they needed to lower the amount of credit they had extended to me. I answered things right and they said there would be no changes to my credit line.

This was a legit call for me - Chase was calling because my credit card info was compromised on a shady website and they wanted to send me a new card.

This number has called 2 times. I answered the 2nd time and a rude man (wouldn't give me his name) asked to talk to me or my husband. Saying we were late on our mortgage and wanted to go over the information on the account. I hung up and immediately called Chase Mortgage. They said that was NOT a valid number from Chase. Only an 800 number from their collections dept would be calling. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO THEM!!!

Message left on my answering machine. They said they were calling regarding my recent inquiry. Left a number different from what was on my called ID, also a reference number. I know this is suspect, and I don't trust them.

I received a message on my cell stating this is chase southwest CC company they needed to verify activity on my credit card to call back @ 1-800-555-9060 that Number is a sex line of some sort, I then called bakc the number that called me , it's simply stated this is Chase please call the number on the back of your card. I do so ,they have no record of anyone calling me , so they went though some security questions , and verified there was no unusual ativitiy on the account, they took the nunmber that called me and are going to try an investegate .. very stange , at least I have a record at the cc company so if anything does accure on the account i'll be covered..

All information posted by MyName 4 Feb 2012 is consistent with my experience. I called the 800 number and they had full access to my Chase CC records. There was a suspicious charge of $0.01 from a radiology company in Hawaii so they canceled my card and are sending me a new one. I called Chase back immediately to verify and my card had indeed been canceled.

Call from Chase Fraud department - they left a message with an 800# to call them about potential fraud (800-955-9006). I called the number on the back of my card to be safe. There WAS a fraudulent charge, so I was glad I followed up on the call.

just got a call a few moments ago:
answer it and an automated message:
"Cal from unknown caller, to accept press 1, to leave a message press 2"
This is the same recording I used to get from a 60* something number - wish I had it saved someplace.

Got a message around 2pm from the above number, claiming they were Chase Fraud Alert. After reading these posts, I called the number on the back of the card. They said the message I'd received was legit, and there was an actual fraud-charge question. Everything was taken care of, quickly and politely.

Rec'd multiple times in one day but would never leave a msg. The one time I did catch the call no one would speak and then disconnected.

My sister recieved a call from 480-902-6000 asking about someone with my last name. She could not understand the caller who had a thick accent, only recognizing my last name. Why would anyone have to call my sister instead of me when we are both in the phone book; who would ask questions about me when they could call me instead????????????/

The number 480-902-6000 came-up as Chase on my caller ID.
Instead of calling back this number, I called the number on the back of my Chase card.
I was informed this is NOT a valid Chase number.
Chase will keep an eye on my account.

Chase bank called at 9:58pm and proceeded to ask for someone who doesn't even live here. I mentioned this to them and they continued to speak, apparently not hearing a word I said. So I waited until they were done. Then reminded them that by law they can call from 8 am to 9pm. Could she please tell me what time it was. They hung up the phone.

Went to Chase Bank. They said the number did not belong to them ... Not in their data base of numbers. Can you say phishing fraud?
| Grainger 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown |
Just got the call...they left a message, but the name was not mine...and the last 4 digits of the phone number is 6926 (again not mine)...so if this is the last phone number for the person, how the heck did they call me...my number isn't even close, so no mis-dial possible. All that and I don't even have a Chase credit card...especially not a business credit card as this call was about.

We are having the same problem, we are working on modifying our mortgage and our 2nd mortgage is also on hold. they have called me from this number while I am at work on our business line, I tried to tell them not to call me at work, the "lady" calling me would not shut up long enough to hear what I was trying to tell her. So I hung up on her. The next thing I know my cell phone started ringing not 45 seconds later from the same number, so I let it go to voice-mail, and they called back 2 more times within 1 minute. And this was after We sent them a Notice to Cease Communication letter from our attorney.

This number is from Chase Credit Card fraud department. I called the number on the back of my card and took care of the problem. They were verifying that charges made to our account were ours. Friendly, quick and easy.

This number rang on my phone but stopped after 2 rings. I checked this site and see it's a Chase Bank number. My only connection to Chase is through Merrill Lynch so Chase has no reason to call???
| Dale Miller 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown |
Got a call from this number at 7:20 am. Didn't answer it as it did not list who was calling. Checked on this site where some said it was from Chase fraud dept. I recently had fraud charges on my card so called the number on the back of my credit card to verify. And yes it was a legitimate call from Chase fraud verifying that I had sent back to them a form they had mailed me about the fraud charges. So no problem with this number. Be nice if they'd call a bit later though.

Chase Mortgage is now using this to spoof people who are behind on their mortgages. I'm in modification, which has put my 2nd on hold. So rather than call from the collections number, they are using this one to try to get over on a cease and desist warning given to them by their own SLU department. Crazy stupid.

A rude caller. My wife answered, but they kept asking for me. I finally got on the phone and I was asked about some stranger from AZ.
