The Do Not call List is useless because the number on your caller ID is fake and if I ask the number they hang up. They also give several false company names. Call the FCC and scream at them. I have filed complaint after complaint. Each time they tell me that they won't do anything because the number is wrong. Obviously the FCC has the power to do something - how hard is it for a government agency to find out who is calling us? They just won't bother because they are too lazy/stupid. Call the FCC and scream: 1-888- 225-5322. These people are supposed to work for you! Let them know.

I was called again today for the 3rd time now in as many days, however, this time there was someone there who talked to me. I woman said she was calling from TV-Guide magazine to see if I was happy with my magazine subscription and then tried to get me to renew it. When I would not she asked if I subscribed to other magazines that I would like to renew, as she could help me with those as well. I asked her what company she said she was with again, and this time she said "Publishers Service Office".  She said she had not hear of MDI but yet my caller ID said she was calling from 480-966-3877. She then said that other telemarketers may also me making the same calls. I could hear a boiler room of telemarketers in the back ground. I do not belive that the call originated in the US because they had strong Asian or Indian accents.

This phone number just called me for the 2nd time in 2 days.  I kept saying hello but no one would answer. I could tell someone was there because there was faint sounds in the back ground, then they just hung up.

Aggravating to say the least.  What can be done????????

We have been experiencing calls from 480-966-3877 now for several weeks.  They come in both a.m. and p.m., sometimes 3x/day.  Same scenerio as everybody else.....no one there when we answer, some faint background noise, then it hangs up.  We get the MDI dispay on the caller I.D. also.  When we try to call back, sometimes we get the busy signal, and sometimes it simply rings and rings and rings with no answer.  Rather frustrating that it continues to happen.  My husband called the AT&T Annoyance number: 1-800-769-4099 and had to leave a message.  They are supposed to call us back with what they find out.

I got this call today, hung up after 4 rings. DID have a name on caller ID....no idea who or what this is.

Finally caught me at home after calling me several times in the past few weeks.  They are selling magazines - knew which magazines I already receive from another source and tried to sell me new subscriptions.  Obviously bought someone's list.

I finally answered the phone and it is a company that is hired by a magazine company wanting you to extend your subscription at a discount.  I just told them not interested and not to call back.

I Too have been getting these calls from 480 966 3877,and like the other compaints no one on other end, and when I try to call back all it does is ring. I also have blocked calls. The calls are at least twice a day.

Well Like all of you I've gotten these phone calls too.  I tried calling back today.  This morning it just rang for about 2minutes.  Then when I tried again (3hrs later) I got a msg stating this number is no longer in service!  YAY?!  perhaps the phone gods have finally caught on!!

My mother keeps getting calls from this guy.  ID says Lloyd Golay.  Did some searching, found out Penelope Golay is a relative.  The number is listed under her name.

Been receiving phone calls from this number for months, with never a message left.  This number called @ 15 minutes ago, and I decided to answer.  A gentelman with a heavy Hispanic accent asked for my husband.  When I asked who was calling, he said he was call for **** (husband's name).  When I asked what is was regarding, the caller again said, for ****.  When I starated asking if he was a solicitor because we didn't want anything, he hung up.  When I try to call back the telephone number, it says it is out of service.  Has anyone reported this to the FCC website?

Just missed an incoming call, this evening, from the mysterious telephone line of Penelope Golay, of Tempe, AZ.  My *69 service verified the calling number, but from what I've read here, I'm not going to bother returning the call--why ask for trouble?

I FINALLY got someone on the line when they called from this number (just now, 3/29, 6:40pm CST). They are peddling magazines, I don't know if it is only Us Magazine (that is the one they asked about) or if there are others. My next message is going to be to Us Magazine though. I have filed a complaint with the Arizona State Attorney Consumer Affairs, reported this number to the donotcall.gov website, AND reported it to ATT (my local phone service). I told them to take my number off of their list immediately, we'll see if it works. I think everyone should send a note to Us Magazine about this for sure.

Don't forget you can file a complaint
form on the DNC website. I keep track of all these type calls and about every 3 months I send in a LOT of individual complaint forms.

Sorry just noticed someone said the same thing a few ago but it can't hurt to advertise it.

Someone called me from this number and wanted me to renew my TV Guide Mag. He was the rudest person I have ever talked to.  He actually mocked me when I said I wasn't interested.  I called TV Guide to complain and they said it was an outside company doing their soliciting.

I'm registered on the Do Not Call list.

How to we get this person ? Please let me know !

i checked it out on google and it says someone in tempe az by the name of peggy golay, is calling, though it never shows up on the caller id....calls and never leaves message.

Keeps calling and never says nothing call the number back noone answers and it just continues to ring.  QUIT CALLIN MY HOUSE!

Caller ID has shown "Unknown" or "Blocked".  Today the caller ID showed "MDI".

We keep getting calls from this number also! It shows up as MDI, but if you google it or put it in the whitepages.com it shows up Penelope Golay.  I am calling the phone company to see if I can get them blocked!!  I seem to be getting the call with no one there.... I wanted to try and be just as annoying so one day after I got the call, I called them back I don't know about 10 or 15 times let it ring once or let it just ring, of corse NO one picked up!!!

these people have been calling my house for weeks now, usually multiple times in one day.  we call back and get either a busy signal or it just rings and rings.  caller ID says MDI just like everyone is saying and I got the Golay names on reverse lookup on whitepages.com, too.  we also are registered on the do not call registry and cannot figure out how to stop these jerks from calling us at all hours of the day!
