Rec'd a call, no message left!

Received call. Did not answer...wish these people would NOT do this. So annoying.

This # called my business blackberry, left no message. I called the number back it said # not in service.

I received a call today on my mobile phone from this number.  As others have stated, it was a recording in Spanish (no, I don't speak Spanish altho' I live in California) so I hung up.

Interestingly this is a pay as you go mobile phone and I've given this number to only a small handful of people that I know.

calling atl metro pcs 4 times since mid march -diff area codes same exchange and number I do not answer calls that I do not know that do not lv msgs - on all the do not call lists and even re-registered - no help there

I just got this call and the same recorded message in spanish. I was disappointed as I'm trying to learn spanish but could not figure out what the message was about.

I just got a call from the 484 number too! I have been getting these spanish sounding messages for a few years now. I have an AT&T phone....Definitely getting annoyed... Glad that I know I'm not the only victim. Anything we can do about it?

I think what they do is randomly call numbers even though I'm on the cell phone do not call registry.  When I returned the call it said it was no longer in service.

sledge mentioned hispanic scam shops, and I understand being irritated because these calls infuriate me.  I don't speak Spanish and getting sales calls where I can't understand the speaker makes it worse.  But don't blame it on "hispanics", which I think is an insulting, meaningless word.  There are Spanish people, Mexican people, Puerto Ricans, etc.  Of course, all of those folks are the same, so let's just call them hispanic, right?  Blame the parasitic Americans who violate your privacy and the law (do not call list), and hire desperate people or scumbags in order for them to make money while exploiting both the consumer and their employees.  I'd say "poor" employees, but some of them, especially the English-speaking ones, are really despicable...and then they graduate to collection calls ;)

just got a call from this number too...answered too late and missed the call...tried calling back and it said the number was not in service

Got this call today on my land line at work. I didn't answer; they didn't leave a message.

Just got the 4849869988 call about 45 minutes ago on my AT&T cellular. I NEVER answer numbers not programmed into my cell. The 484 did not leave a message; I will not be returning the call as it registers my number as being "live" and I will simply delete the number.

It's not your phone! The common theme or thread here is the fact that we all went through a cell phone store and/or a carrier and our phone numbers are registered there. You can always try to ask that your number not be recorded or stored anywhere, but I doubt that would work. The numbers may not be listed or given out anywhere else, but that would be all it would take for a thief to get their hands on your number. Oh! and don't forget the use of autodialers. What does a criminal care if his autodialer only hits on a few good (live) numbers that net him thousands of dollars. The machine quickly pays for itself. Mine's AT & T and I get calls like this on a weekly basis.

Recieved a call from 484-986-9988 on my Blackberry mobile device at 3:24pm local time Dec 22; the caller did not leave a message and I didn't call back. I have no business or personal relations in PA.

Call from 484 986-9988 came at 4:24 PM to my cell phone.

Got this call on a canadian network (Telus) today about 30 mins ago on a blackberry. Didn't answer and no message left.

Only people who have my cell number is my immediate family - did not answer it and am now going to delete it.

got a call on my cell (telus canada) from this number about 10 mins ago. didnt asnwer it...looked the number up an got here...

Got the same number, but didn't rejected it right away as I didn't recognize the phone number or the area code.

I'm in Vancouver, BC area on the Fido network.  I've had a bunch of these calls earlier in the year, but they've stopped for the past couple of months.
