spanish male called asking for a specific name of some one who lives here.  I told him "no spanish" and they hung up.

I received a call from this guys, they ask for me in spanish (I'm Hispanic) before they start I told them to take me out from their telemarketing list, the guy with Peruvian accent told me "what are you talking about, what marketing?", "I'm calling because you have a debt with us for 50grand, you haven't paid to us so we are going to impound your goods", he told me I signed a contract with "them", no company name, and I haven't paid... I asked him which bank or institution was and the guy answered me "you signed a contract and you don't know with who?", finally he told me before he hang up that in the next hours they will come to my property to impound my goods.
What freak me out is that this losers have my name, my phone and my old address. I don't reside anymore in the States, but I have a VOIP line with a number in the States. Anyway they can't impound anything I'm far far away!!!!
I'm filing a complaint the FTC has to do something, I agree if every time someone calls from one of these companies we complaint to the FTC, the will get tired of us and would do something. If they call you, answer in english this losers don't know English and they freak out!!!

I received the call from 1-500-500-5000 this morning and it came up on caller ID as a Personal Call. Clearly, these people are sneaky and I would like to see them go away.

have received several calls from this number. When my answering machine answers I can hear men talking in another language in the background. they never leave a message.

Thought putting my name on do not call list ment all junk telemarketers. If you can't speak ENGLISH definetly don't call my phones.

I have several of these calls each day on the caller ID, I picked up once and just got static and someone speaking in the background but cannot make out what they are saying.  Is there any way to stop this?  It is very irritating when the call comes so many times a day.

I have received several calls from this number but they hand up. But today my hubby answered they talked offering a calling card. They speak spanish so thats why when i say hello they hang up.My hubby speaks very good spanish so he let them have it. He requested to be put on do not call list. Lets see if they do it.

Call a call from 500-500-5000 and the called id registered as PCS Phone. I'm guessing this is a Sprint number? Hope someone can find out who this is.

Has called on several occasions

Called the past 4 evenings about 8:45 pm.  Some man speaking Spanish.  Has been told to stop calling but apparently doesn't care.  I am reporting this to the phone company and let them track them down.

I got a call from the number 500-500-5000. A man's voice speaking Spanish & I understand enough to have identified 'someone' trying to explain 'something' about telephone service. The caller ID tag was SACService, which I think just identifies it as a recently added "service access code" number. When I asked what they were selling and who they wanted to talk to, the call was terminated. Sounds like a whole new way to be annoyed in our homes!

The caller ID was Personal Commser and a male called around 1:40 pm today.
I couldn't understand what they were saying and after a few seconds I hung up.
Anyone know if this is a scam and if they can use us answering the pnone some how. It was a male possibly spanish.

Got this call twice today, cuts off before I answer, it does get irritating!
I also use to get the spanish calls on my cell phone, could not figure out for the life of me unless they are fishing for phone numbers to hack into, don't know. Today Dec. 13th.

Received a call from 1 500-500-5000 on 02/20/08 - wasn't home - Looked up 500
area code and found it was a Service Commerce for area code.  Called AT&T they
didn't seem interested and gave me no information.  Tried callint the number
from my cell phone and was told it couldn't be dialed from a cell phone.  Didn't want to call on land line - have no long distance carrier and didn't want to pay for a call to somewhere I didn't know and be charged.

I have been receiving as many as 20 calls a week from 500-500-5000..always terminates at pick up! Tonight a womans voice spoke but was  unintelligible, could have been Spanish, sounded like an overseas call, then abruptly terminated!

This number has been calling my house 3-4 times a day and lately they started calling about every 20 minutes. I can't make them stop. I shouldn't have to turn my ringer off and miss important calls because they don't speak english.

Per the Local Exchange Routing guide, the 500-500 code belongs to "CELLCO PARTNERSHIP DBA VERIZON WIRELESS". Might want to chat with them.

I received a call from this guys, they said (in spanish) that they are from "SUMINET", a "Telephone Company" from California. They told me that i was a winner on some raffle they had. I asked why they had my number and address and they said that they were working with my telephone company and this call was only to let me know that i was getting a 500 minutes phone card. They tried to get more information from me but i told them that i was not interested in their card and to stop calling. I'm bloking this number and from what they told me i think this is some kind of scam.

I know who they are.  Unfortunately I found out only after they ripped me off.  The called me, talked to me in Spanish and asked me if I wanted a free calling card.  I accepted it to find out who they were, and I never got the card.  3 months later, I noticed a charge on my Verizon bill from a company I didn't know.  Verizon informed me that they were my long distance carrier.  When I investigated, I got a phone number for the that company and I called to ask them how they became my long distance carrier and they said I authorized it.  They played back a recording that they made when asking me if my address was correct so they could send me the card.  I recognized the call, except that instead of the woman asking me if I wanted a free calling card, in the recording she asked me if I authorized them to become my long distance carriers!  They doctored to tape so that it sounded like I WANTED their services.  I have contacted the FCC and the PUC and I doubt anything will be done.  They screwed me for 3 months and will probably continue to screw me since we're nothing but little people in this big world of crooks.  I will be more than willing to join anyone that wants to go after these b*****ds.  They are:

I have recieved several calls from these idiots, and I have told them in their native language because I also speak spanish to NOT call again. Ofcourse the calls continue I have filed a complaint through the FCC, we'll see if the FCC will do their job. The men speak in spanish and I got the company name called ZUMINET w a Z not an S. I've looked it up and it's wierd some kind of other language. Anyway, the calls continue but I continue to tell them off in SPANISH, lucky me I know how to communicate with these foolish losers! I have received several calls from this number in the past week.  I have not answered the calls and no message is left on my voice mail.  But EACH TIME I receive a call I report it to the FTC using their online complaint format.  I provide the date and time of the call.

If more people would complain the FTC just might get the idea these calls annoy people, and they might do something about it.  It doesn't take a minute to report the calls.
