My mother worked with that company and I wasn't informed until after they had already done the work. I was not happy with my mom for giving out all her information and I did a lot of research on the company, I give credit where it is due and they were able to not only get all the money she owed to a 0% they got her set up with a card to use that has a lower rate, but they helped her take care of the $25,000 she owed in medical bills that I had tried many times and wasn't able to get anywhere. Also they got rid of her timeshare that she had been scammed by many times also, so I think you should not judge a company until you give them a chance. The sad thing is I see these post where they assume it is this company but my mom still gets calls and we found at least 4 other company names since Sunshine doesn't call anymore because she already works with them, so I think we should be fair.

My wife received call from this party and was providing info to qualify for their followup on lowering apr rates when I stepped into the room.  Included was info on my credit card, as well as a $1500 service charge.  I immediately checked websites, found your website, and discovered this potential scam.  I immediatedly told her to end their conversation.  My followup, within 10 minutes, was to call my credit card company and immediately change the acct #. There were no prior illegal access in the account.  Much thanks to your website for helping to prevent this scam.

My 77 year old mother got suckered into agreeing to this (Sunshine Coaching Service) and gave them loads of information. I keep trying to make her understand that all these callers (if it's not credit companies its diabetic supplies!) need to be HUNG UP ON! But she is old fashioned and polite. And thinks people can't be THAT devious.

Anyway, she verbally must have agreed to it but they said they were going to overnight her some papers to sign. So she thought she'd have time to talk to me and to her bank (the one with her credit card) before it took effect. Well, no such luck! The letter came but says that she verbally made a contract and owes them $999 and there is no way to cancel the deal.  Her bank (which she went to the very next day) said it seems like a done deal. But they cancelled her card and issued her a new one.

Does anyone know if these people are legit or did she just get ripped off? I mean, when you buy a house or a car or a vacuum cleaner you get 3 days to reject the offer. Why can't she get out of this?  I don't know who to call or what to do.  If you've dealt with them, do they do all they promise? I sure hope so!

I'm at the beginning stages of involvement with Sunshine Consultation Services after also getting a call from Card Member Services. They've already spoken with account managers of two of my credit cards, and in the one case they agreed to refund my last month's interest fee and extend my current grace period (0% APR). This was just agreed upon, so I'm waiting to see the evidence that they follow through.

Was your card charged $999 early in your involvement with Sunshine, or later on? I can't afford for that to happen to me, and I wasn't told about any such fee. I was only told, by Card Member Services, that a fee would be assessed only after they save me $2500 or more in interest fees, etc., and that if they don't secure this amount of savings I'll never be charged that fee.

Card Member Services did seem to know an awful lot about my credit cards before I told them anything. Also back in August 2012 I received a call from Card Member Services informing me that I was late on a payment for one of my business credit cards (which I'm not in the habit of doing). They then processed that payment for me over the phone, and it was legitimate. This really did result in that payment being made to the credit card company I was late in paying, and the late fee was even refunded because I took care of it that day.

So I don't know what to think. Card Member Services really did seem to represent my credit card company on that occasion, and they really did process an actual payment for me. The sequence of events the last few days, though, have been unlike anything I've ever experienced or heard of concerning credit cards, APR's, etc. That's why I did a search and ended up on this site.

was recently swindled by the company sunshine consultation services. first someone from "card member services" spoke with me, then transferred me to my "financial consultant" at "sunshine consultation services." they say for $999 they can negotiate lower APRs on your credit cards and offer you financial coaching. they do neither, but still charge your credit card $999. they simply start opening up other credit cards in your name, without your express permission, and say that a balance transfer is the way to go. they also tell you they will provide you a 0% apr credit card until your debt is paid off, even though the credit card just opened up only has a 15 month term. they say one thing and do another. i have filed a complaint with the ftc and the better business bureau.

Received a phone call on my cell phone from this company last night, I just listened to their message, and then hung up.  I didn't press 1 or anything to talk to a person.  I am just going to ignore it and not respond to calls whom I do not recognize. Normally, I don't answer those kinds of calls, but for some reason I did last night.  I am already on a Do Not Call Listing; that must not work.

My advise just ignore calls from phone numbers who you do not know.

First, I'm 99% certain the calls are coming from this company:

http://www.financialshine.com/contact_us.htm
shinellc@live.com
Send to: Ni Marshall (The guy I spoke with said his name was Don)

I reported to DoNotCall.gov here: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

I report them every time, but it doesn't do any good, so now I just play the game to amuse myself.

For all of you who are experiencing these calls, here's what happens when you press #1 for lower rates:

Upon pressing #1, a human being will (usually, not always) pick up and ask a series of questions:

* How much credit card debt do you carry?
* How many different cards do you have?
* What is the highest interest rate?
* Which card would you like so see if you qualify for lower rates?
* Is it close to the limit?
* What is the bank that issued the card?
* What is the phone# on the back of the card?
* What are the last 4-digits of your social security number?
* What zip code do you live in?

And finally, what is the card number?

Here's how you can have some fun!

Q: How much credit card debt do you carry?
A: A lot. Like, $15,000

Q:How many different cards do you have?
A: I think about 4 or 5

Q: What is the highest interest rate?
A: Not sure. I think it's about 15% to 18%...somewhere in that area.

Q: Which card would you like so see if you qualify for lower rates?
A: Definitely my Visa

Q: Is it close to the limit?
A: Nope. Lots of room left on it. (If you tell them it's close to the limit, they'll ask for another card. They want a card with lots of room so they have more money to spend.)

Q: What is the bank that issued the card?
A: [make something up] Fidelity Bank. Bank of Paris. First Interstate Bank. Etc, etc.

Q: What is the phone# on the back of the card?
A: 800-328-7448 (which is 800-Eat-S**t) or 413-497-0091 (which is pretty funny, if you're curious)

Q: What are the last 4-digits of your social security number?
A: 7726 (S.P.A.M.)

Q: What zip code do you live in?
A: 20500 (zip code for the White House)

Q: What is the card number?
A: 4412-9685-5237-6779 (4412 YoullBeSorry)

Having received numerous calls like this, and knowing it was a scam, I decided to engage the caller for a couple of minutes.  When I finally asked, "Do you sleep well at night?", the caller became belligerent!  He started to say things like, "Oh, yeah, go ahead and go to church...Go ahead and be the policeman...You're a homophobe...You're a f***ot!" (I didn't actually know one could be both.)  There was more, but I just can't remember all of the hate speech he used on me.  It sounded as if I wasn't the first person to get under his skin.  Hopefully, I will be one of the last and he will decide that an honest job is a great opportunity to build a life and a future.

Credit Card Services is a Scam company. This phone number is a new number. Over the past year, I have collected 70 different phone numbers that they have used. I have filed complaints with the FCC and the FTC, to no avail. I have spoken with my phone carrier and they tell me there is nothing they can do about it. I am only able to block 25 phone numbers at a time, but the company cycles through their list of numbers, changing them every other month.

Credit card scam.  They are also calling from 206-397-1136.  It is probably not even coming from these numbers.  There is a way to show a different number on caller id.  Our number is on the "Do Not Call List."  If they call again, we will report them.

Just called my CELL PHONE with a PRE-RECORDED message.  Illegal.  Credit Card Services SCAM trying to sucker innocent people into forking over money ($200 I think) so they can call your credit card company and try to get a lower interest rate.  The thing is, ANYONE can do that without spending any money.  The credit card company will not lower your rates if you are not in good standing with them, no matter how much money you pay to SCAM outfits like this.  These telemarketers are extremely rude, cuss you out, belittle you, and then expect you to go along with their SCAM!  Don't be a FOOL and even answer the phone.  Just file complaints with the FCC & DNC and block their number if you can.
