how rude, most don't owe them a dime, they call asking for other people and when you tell them they have the wrong number they keep calling and several times a day.

To "Paying Citizen": I assume you came across this message board after searching the same number we did, and that you got the number from...your missed calls?
Anyway. Indebted or not, the rest of us citizens choose to believe that doesn't mean we have to surrender all of our rights.

@ Paying Citizen I can understand that you think your input is valued. However, a couple of things that you might want to learn are: your = a word generally used to describe possession. You're = you are. The period is normally used in the English language to indicate the end of a sentence. There = a place Their = most likely the word you were looking for. Big = a word used to describe something's size.

...and for my last thought - most people with a triple digit I.Q. (something I'm guessing that you're lacking) tend not to put much stock in posts that are obviously written by someone who doesn't know how to use the English language. Perhaps revisiting grade school level English classes might assist you in your currently feeble attempts to employ our language.

@Trish. In Arkansas as long as one of the two parties involved in the call knows the call is being recorded it is legal. I am getting calls from this number also. I just hang up. I have created a "do not answer" contact in my address book on my phone for this number.

Your people are idiots they are calling you because your a low life and don't lay your bills they aren't shady and your attorney general wont do s*** your the one that owes money and it is there job to big you until you do

These idiots called me over a year ago asking for my sons x, I told them that her name has changed twice since she left this number, and I gave them her present name. Today they call again asking for her by the name that I gave them back then. I called them back and got the same woman, who tried to pretend that she had never spoken to me. Again she told me that she had taken my number out of their system, same thing they told me last time.

This number calls two or three times a day and nver leaves message.

i left my phone at home when i got off work i called them back and no one answer

They call and don't leave a message. I don't answer calls when I don't know who it is.

I got this call and missed it, no message left. I called it back and I am going to assume it is a bill collector or phishing. When I called back it went like this

Me: Hello, my name is ******  ***** someone called my number while I was out.

them: Ok this is a business phone and someone did try to contact you. Your current address is *****************, can you verify this please.

Me: what company are you with

them: it is pertaining to a confidential matter if you would please verify

Me: How simple minded do you think I am, you tell me what company you are with and I might verify.

them: you just want to know who it is, when you are ready to talk give us a call back

Me: ok your loss.

hmm yeah I'd like to know who you are before I give you my information.

they have called several more times but I keep calling them back and annoying them :)

I finally got a business name to slip from one of them. it is FCS (Financial Credit Service). Google it and you will find the kind of shady collection agency they are.

I asked to not be called again. They told me they would continue to call me until the matter was resolved. If you don't tell me what kind of debt I owe then you are pretty much screwed 'cause you are not getting anything from me :)

at any rate, my advice. Take the call, write down everything that is said, including the callers name tell them they are not getting your information, They called you, they should have it all verified already.

Contact your Attorney General with the information and we can finally stop this caller.

This number is calling my cell phone also and did the same exact thing as they did to you Christina.
Me: Hello
Them: Can you verify that your billing address is blah blah blah blah.
Me: Who Is this
Them: This is a confidential matter
Me: Wait a minute, you called me at my number, asked me if my address is blah blah, and you dont want to tell me what it is about? You have to be kidding me right.
Them: Maam it is a confidential matter
Me: Well then I guess my address will just have to be confidential between me, myself and I.
I hung up then.
Very sneaky and they will find an underhanded way to get around any laws.
The laws are so strict anymore about credit collectors calling.
What this is, is a blatant attempt to collect on some debt by sending letters to the consumer and by getting us to say "Yes, this is my address" they then have confirmation on recording that it is and they can then continually bomb you with collection notices.
What they dont realize is taping someone without their knowledge is criminal, at least in the State of Arkansas. And also that if you report them to the Attorney General and they keep calling then the "Bill" they are trying to collect on can become null and void if they do not cease and desist with their collection attempts by phone. This is why they do not tell you who they are and where they are calling from so that they do not leave a trail.
I was in phone sales for 12 years (not these kind of bullying, harrasing calls) and I know exactly how this works.
Get as much info as you can if they call back, keep them on the phone untill they tell you who they are and where they are calling from. As Christina said Contact your Attorney General and send the company a cease and desist letter. If they keep on after that....Sue THEM.

Their address is 10925 Otter Creek East Blvd., Mabelvale, AR 72103 (right outside of Little Rock).  Phone Numbers are 501-320-2462; 1-800-844-2036; 501-320-2461; 501-975-3368; 501-455-1658; fax #'s are 501-455-0570; 501-455-6396;  Please report your complaints to the Arkansas Attorney General at www.ag.state.ar.us  Please report your complaints to the AR BBB at www.bbb.org/arkansas/business.  Please report your complaints to the AR Board of Collection Agencies at www.asbca.org.  I have made complaints against First Collection Services to all of the above for their poor ethics in the collection industry, as well as reported them to the company that hired them to service the account I owed on.  Which happened to be a bill from November of 2007 in the amount of $131.00, which I paid direct to the company who hired First Collection.  Remember, you don't have to pay the collection company, you can call the company you initially incurred the balance due with and they will accept your payment.
