Omg I got a call from the same number April 30 2009

I got a call from this # on my cell.  Didn't answer it.  When I tried to call the # back I got a recorder message that said the number was disconnected????

Call on my cell April 1, 2009 at 1:47 PM. near London, Ontario, Canada.

Didn't listen too long to the call.
It started off with a recorded voice stating I had been specially selected to win a special ... At that moment I hung up.
Obviously a phone solicitor.
The call is from a land line based in Frankfort, KY according to phone reverse search.

I speak Spanish fluently being born in Spain, but the voice was definitely in English.

My suggestion is to never answer numbers not recognized.  Sometimes we forget to take our own advice .... ;)

Called today, didn't recognize it, didn't answer.  www.freecellphonetracer.com says it's a land line in Frankfort, NY - you can pay to get a name and address.

Just got a call from that number too. Didnt answer though cause I knew it had to be a scammer.

I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I was just called by these people on my cell phone.

From working at a "communications" company I can tell you all something. Do you want to know how they got YOUR NUMBER? It goes like this: 001-001-0001, 001-001-0002, 001-001-0003, and so on. YOUR PHONE NUMBER is NOT A SECRET, its simply 10 numbers.

As for why they called, it seems to be a lame scam. It happens all the time.

what if they are systematically calling every phone in the nation, and only a select few know how to respond to the call. maybe thats why they hung up on you, because you didn't know the secret password??? All i'm sayin is its very fishy! for every one of us that has googled this number i'm sure there have been thousands that just blew it off. I'm tellin you guys, somthing is goin on in this country and we had all better stay alert. attack is imminent.

I got a call from 502-783-8998 first there was a recording in spanish; to which I am fluent, saying that I won $1000.00 and to press one to recieve my prize. I pressed one and was placed on hold, finally a lady came on asked who she was talking to, I said my name was Juan Tomas and she imediatly hung up the phone. I called the # right back and it said was disconnected. What the hell is going on with these people?

just got the call, a female Mexican said some gibberish then hung up!! I wish I knew Spanish. probably some beaners south of the border working some kind of scam. Its is weird that there are so many people getting the same call. I'm curious, maybe its those clever Taliban terrorists using our neighbors to the south to conjure up some kind of scheme. maybe not. I'm paranoid by nature.

Got a call on my att cell phone but also didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. We've been getting hammered with these types of calls lately on our cell and house phones; enough so that I changed my house phone number tonight and will change my cell number if it continues.  Not sure what the deal is.  I don't have a problem not answering the phone, but am just curious as to the sudden flurry of calls.  Never had that problem before.

Got this call at 3:52pm Central. Did not answer since I am at work. When I Googled the number I found this website. I suggest calling your service provider and reporting the phone number. Don't know if that will help anything.

got a call from this number on my cell. Didn't answer because didn't know the number.  I tried to call back but either got busy singal or international call couldn't be made.

got a call from this number @ 2:20pm today somebody talking in Spanish  I hung up as soon as I heard it.  Are they trying to get money, by chargeing my phone??

Got a call from the same number +502-783-8998.  When I answered, somebody was talking in Spanish, and then they hung  up.

Just received this call a few minutes go and answered after two rings only to have it hang up on me. I tried to call back and got a message saying that my international call could not be completed as dialed?

From what I have seen here, it is junk, but woud like to know for sure.

Received call 4/30/08 at 9:53am, PST.   I also did not answer because I didn't recognize the number. Tried to call the number back from a land line and the number was busy.

Got a call from this number 4/30/08 at 12:24 pm.  I didn't answer becasue I didn't recognize the area code.  I knew it wasn't anyone I knew.
