Got call from this number 3 days in a row at about the same time. Calls my cell #. Did not answer.

Ive received numerous calls from this number and I'm always working with my phone on silent. So I never answer. They never leave a message and whenever I call it back it rings for like half a ring not even a full  ring and then does a busy signal. I'm sooo tired of it!!

Got a call from this number on my private cell phone about 3:30 this afternoon.  Same area code (different number) called Sunday night and early Monday morning.  They don't leave a message, and hang up if you answer.  We NEVER give our cell number out, except to immediate family and close friends, and we've had the same cell number for 14 years without any problems.  However, on Saturday we upgraded our cell phone account to add text capabilities, and all of a sudden, we are getting hang-ups and solicitation calls.  I haven't downloaded any apps (don't have data plan), and I'd like to know how to stop this harassment ASAP.  At least on the landline, we have call blocking -- but the cell provider charges extra to block calls.

Received two calls from this number. Didn't listen long enough to hear what the first telemarket call was about. The second time they called I had my phone on silent. So angry. I'm esp angry bc I'm usually very cautious about who I give my phone number to when it comes to other companies (at stores in the mall, etc.) I do think the person who wrote about the internet companies sharing contact info is correct. I recently downloaded some apps and it could very possibly be the problem....

You know, just got this number a few months ago and I forgot to add to Do Not Call Registry. Had my old number for so long I completely forgot about that.

Just like @kh, I received a call on Jan 6 from 503-201-2490 and today from 503-201-8291.  No message left.  I also got an Android phone a few months ago and have been downloading some apps.  That's a good thought.  @kh, can you tell me which 11 apps you have?  I have 30 or more.

Just got the call from 503-201-8291 on my corporate phone.  I'm not with Verizon, I did not recently download any apps, I'm not late on any bills.  But by looking at this thread, as many people who have just recently reported it, it is probably robo-calling.  They're probably monitoring this site to see how many responses they get from people who didn't answer the call :) .

I received this call during my office hours. Does any way to avoid this type of phone call.

It was used on me by Vonage (sp). It was a friend calling from out of country and I guess Vonage just assigned that random number to the call.  Could also be why others are getting cruise lines, people using Internet based phone services.

I answered the phone and there was a message saying something about I won or could win cruise line tickets. Just move to portland, I have a diferent area code so I'm not sure how they would've gotten my number.

I got called by this number 30 mins ago while I was in a conversation so since I didn't recognize the number I let it vibrate on but no message was left.  I looked up the area code and tried to think of who I knew might be living in northwestern Oregon then decided to google the number and found this blog.  Good info was found here so I can continue to disregard and have an idea of what to do if "they" call back I want it to stop.

i get a call asking you to do a survey and select your phone buttons to win a cruise i just hung up on them like 5 min ago i also get a call from another number 1-888-881-2622 number google app you answer they say your name laugh and hang up.. and call right back wierd..

Yeah, I answered one time and the guy said "You recently showed interest in going on a cruise" and when I said "No, I didn't." he replied, "Oh, sorry about that!" and hung up... People are so weird.

I don't have a smart phone and have been getting these calls for a few months now but not always from the same number.  Very interesting that someone says they are actually associated with Verizon as they are my carrier. Registered my number on the Do Not Call list last month so as soon as it takes effect I'll be reporting them if I get anymore.  Hopefully that will stop them.
